  • Unfortunately even Virgin doesn't have service set up there :( by Straight_Gap267 (Thu 21st Apr 2022 9:53am)
  • Unfortunately, my place doesn't have Virgin either. uswitch.com and boradbanchoices.co.uk shows up Vodafone, EE, BT, Sky among providers I have heard of. And NOW, TalkTalk and Plusnet among providers I have never heard of. And the sad part is the average speed they all provide is 67Mbps !! And here I was expecting something at least 200+ :( by Straight_Gap267 (Thu 21st Apr 2022 10:04am)
  • I see - have registered interest. Thanks ! by Straight_Gap267 (Thu 21st Apr 2022 10:04am)

  • Very well said !! I moved in here with my wife about 4 months back and I can sure agree to the fact that by and large people are very warm and nice. That is one thing we have noticed apart from the other nice things about the city - and trust me its ultimately the people that make a city. The hills, the lakes, the beaches will soon feel boring - but the people are those that make life worth living and make every day exciting. by Straight_Gap267 (Fri 26th Aug 2022 12:27am)
  • haha! such a sweet message. Btw, yes ! the tap water is SO DAMN refreshing !! its just awesome. by Straight_Gap267 (Fri 26th Aug 2022 12:29am)

  • But so much more difficult to walk about thanks to the ice and all, no? by Straight_Gap267 (Mon 19th Dec 2022 7:12am)
  • >I once read a good article on free public transport and the best option is actually to just make it very cheap, and accessible in payment methods also. Correct! Anything that is free is so prone to being misused. And there will be many in the society who will not realize the value of it. by Straight_Gap267 (Mon 19th Dec 2022 7:24am)
  • >There's some quote about a successful city not being one where the poor drive cars but where the rich use public transit. Perfectly said! I recently lived in Singapore for a few years and that's exactly what it felt like. Even the rich takes buses and subways over there. And that's because the system is SO FREAKING GOOD. You just do not feel the need to buy a car. And mind you, it's not free. It's just not exorbitant. The minimum fare on a bus is SGD 1 which is way lesser than GBP 1.8 I pay in Glasgow now. by Straight_Gap267 (Mon 19th Dec 2022 7:27am)
  • Haha, not exactly sure. The wife knows and cares apparently. I am just the "getter" by Straight_Gap267 (Mon 23rd Jan 2023 6:47pm)

  • Moved to a rental property. **Previous letting agent has asked for proof that Council tax & Electricity/Gas is completely paid off by us up-to our last occupancy date**. Is this something I can get off of the Council Tax & SP websites ? Or i need to call them and ask ? by Straight_Gap267 (Tue 6th Jun 2023 2:14pm)
  • Thanks for the suggestion,....though, The tube would be quite a bit more of walk for me compared to Glasgow Central unfortunately by Straight_Gap267 (Fri 16th Jun 2023 10:54am)

  • Yes. Have seen that one. I'll need to go further south from my place in cathcart for this. However, I will have parked at a safe parking area. That's there. by Straight_Gap267 (Fri 16th Jun 2023 11:56am)

  • Nono. Weekdays. by Straight_Gap267 (Fri 16th Jun 2023 2:05pm)
  • Of course. Even i dont wanna park in front of someone else's house. Plus, People here are pretty rude. by Straight_Gap267 (Fri 16th Jun 2023 4:56pm)
  • Because the walk from my place to cathcart station (which is the closest) is a bit long and tiring for my wife right now. Of course I would have considered this already, right? 😊 Not sure why people think it's okay to school and lecture other redditors. Every human being has their own story - something none of us know about. Someone asked a question, let's just answer it to the point. by Straight_Gap267 (Fri 16th Jun 2023 4:55pm)
  • I am sorry. I think I reacted person left a pretty mean comment about me wanting to block other people's residential area. Thanks for your suggestion. by Straight_Gap267 (Fri 16th Jun 2023 5:26pm)
  • Ah, I see. How much is the usual period of stay? by Straight_Gap267 (Thu 20th Jul 2023 10:11pm)
  • Perfect. Short stay is generally for how long, if you don't mind? by Straight_Gap267 (Thu 20th Jul 2023 10:10pm)
  • Wouldn't have posted this question if they could have. Isn't that common sense? by Straight_Gap267 (Sat 22nd Jul 2023 10:55am)
