  • What's the signal like in Glasgow? I've heard a lot of people complain about all networks in the city tbh but the network coverage seems to be all over the city for all providers (EE, 3, Vodafone and O2). Is it just a case of, whatever network you prefer? by TheRealBrandini97 (Tue 18th May 2021 5:47pm)
  • Aw that's a relief. Seen a lot of people complaining about 3 network around the city centre and college that I'll be attending. Cheers mate :D by TheRealBrandini97 (Thu 20th May 2021 9:50am)
  • What network did you use for your 4G? I've heard people say pretty much every network in the city centre is poor from 3 and Vodafone to O2 and EE. Seems like there's not one standout choice by TheRealBrandini97 (Thu 20th May 2021 9:58am)
  • I've heard the same with EE, Vodafone and O2. Seems like every network has problems in the city centre. And if that's the case I'd rather not spend £40 a month when I'll be getting the exact same service as a network charging £20 a month by TheRealBrandini97 (Thu 20th May 2021 9:55am)
  • I've heard a few folk complain about 3 but also about O2, EE and Vodafone. Seems like everyone has had good and bad experiences with all phone networks in Glasgow. I'd also be watching Netflix/Disney+ so I kinda need unlimited data unless I walk into any building and use their wifi to download films lol by TheRealBrandini97 (Thu 20th May 2021 10:01am)
  • I've heard people complaining about three and their service but then again I've heard the same with EE, O2 and Vodafone so it seems like no one has any luck in the city centre by TheRealBrandini97 (Thu 20th May 2021 10:13am)
  • This is what my college said on the issue:- "Unfortunately, as the accommodation uses an educational WIFI network called 'Eduroam', restrictions to online gaming are in place and despite numerous requests from the accommodation management IT are not currently willing to ease these restrictions due to security concerns." Like yous have said, I'd imagine a VPN would work by TheRealBrandini97 (Thu 20th May 2021 10:12am)
  • What dongle has your brother got? Is it better than tethering a phone to a PC or console? I'd imagine it would be. I'm used to being at home, using BT broadband with 40mbps download speed so dongles and 4G MiFi broadbands are all new to me by TheRealBrandini97 (Thu 20th May 2021 10:17am)
  • I'll have a look at Vodafone. I've seen complaints about all the networks in the city centre from EE, Vodafone, Three and O2. I have a Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro so I'd imagine it works just the same as your iPhone XS. by TheRealBrandini97 (Thu 20th May 2021 10:15am)
  • What would you like me to do in my spare time? Count pebbles by the shore or perhaps sing a few songs with some seagulls passing by? Do you seriously think I'm gonna set up a computer in the middle of my class you mongo 😂 It will be set up in my accommodation room so I have something to do during my days off. Tax payers money lol. I've worked a 12 hour shift job for the past 3 years and want a career change, was making £18k a year. I've contributed to society more than you. • I'll check out Lebara. Cheers buddy! by TheRealBrandini97 (Thu 20th May 2021 10:28am)
  • I'm with EE currently and they're charging £37 a month for unlimited data which is ridiculous so I'm looking to switch to a network who offer unlimited data for cheaper. Vodafone might just be the one. Funnily enough my accommodation block is only about a 10min walk away from the Merchant City area. Are you using a mobile broadband box or just tethering your phone to your pc/console? by TheRealBrandini97 (Thu 20th May 2021 10:27am)
  • I'll probably give Three a miss. I just can't justify paying £37 a month for internet, no matter how good it is. I've been recommended Lebara a few times now. Might give that a good. As far as I know they use Vodafone's towers. Ideally I'm looking to spend £25 or under a month for 4G. As long as I get 10mbps then I'm good. by TheRealBrandini97 (Thu 20th May 2021 11:47am)
