  • I was just in there too haha. Nothing “heavily discounted” to be found, found a few preowned console games that were /slightly/ cheaper than CeX but on the whole it’s no better than Game by Trogadorr (Mon 10th Jun 2019 5:03pm)
  • The niceties I expect from G-Force staff! Everyone talks about how nice they were but I always had bad experiences. Maybe I just caught them on bad days... by Trogadorr (Mon 10th Jun 2019 5:18pm)
  • Some of the shorts on these lassies look like a piece of hams trying to escape the string round it. Actual whitey by Trogadorr (Fri 12th Jul 2019 3:12pm)
  • As an embattled Hydro attendee, why do yous pour the slowest pints on the planet? Feel like I’m aging waiting in the queue 😭 by Trogadorr (Fri 12th Jul 2019 4:56pm)
  • Derek Come home son by Trogadorr (Thu 18th Jul 2019 1:52pm)
  • I remember when I first started uni in Glasgow, go to the student bar and there’s about 10 students lined up like that almost to the door of the damn place. I walked straight up past them all and got served instantly. What type of spanner do you have to be to not know something like that? Aye I got into uni but I don’t know how a fucking bar works, absolute wazzocks by Trogadorr (Wed 24th Jul 2019 1:48pm)
  • Not to mention the city centre is too small for it. You can get to most places in a 5-10 min walk by Trogadorr (Fri 2nd Aug 2019 4:34pm)
  • As much as I would have loved a “festival” from just round my bit, the headliners are guff. Groove Armada isn’t my thing but my pals say they’re alright. Lauryn Hill notorious for her antics and doesn’t play her album songs as they were, always remixing them in some way and sounding rubbish, De La Soul who I love and saw at the Hydro but because of licensing issues can’t play most of their well known songs. Hot Chip I’ve not listened to but according to my mates they’ve been phoning it in for years? Listened to a few live gigs on YouTube and sounded pretty shite. All this would be fine if it was adequately priced, but at £60 a ticket... no chance mate by Trogadorr (Sun 4th Aug 2019 12:51am)
  • and his wife was called... ... ... ... ...Mary. by Trogadorr (Mon 5th Aug 2019 7:10pm)
  • Had the pleasure of meeting this guy at a charity do once. He was surprisingly down to earth, and VERY funny. by Trogadorr (Thu 8th Aug 2019 3:47pm)
  • Pint of Lagunitas at most places that have it on tap will run £5.50-£6. Pretty sure Sloan’s has it at £6. by Trogadorr (Fri 9th Aug 2019 5:02pm)
  • Town’s dead tbh, the prices at all these places mean I’ll rarely go to the pub now or if I am going out for a few it’s to Wetherspoons. No wonder the UK has something like 200 shutting a year or whatever the statistic was by Trogadorr (Fri 9th Aug 2019 5:20pm)
  • Guys behind the bar were probably too busy sniffing each other’s farts saying “oh I can taste the hops”. I’ve never got good service in there by Trogadorr (Fri 9th Aug 2019 6:52pm)
  • Feeder are doing a signing at the HMV on Argyle Street, probably them. Nah just kidding, there was about 20 people in the queue waiting though. That’s 18 more people than I thought listened to Feeder these days. by Trogadorr (Thu 15th Aug 2019 5:55pm)
  • Oh duh. It’s the Rangers game tonight haha that will be it by Trogadorr (Thu 15th Aug 2019 6:09pm)
  • Shit really? My pal couldn’t make it and I sold my ticket on stubhub... had to do the same thing for Kendrick last year but they were paper tickets and this time it’s the eTickets. Looks like I’ll be phoning StubHub in the morning... by Trogadorr (Thu 15th Aug 2019 11:53pm)
  • Raiding bins for a pint...that’s pretty weird mate by Trogadorr (Sat 17th Aug 2019 10:53am)
  • Other point to bring up would be the queues, we got there around 7.30 and I’d say queues for a drink we’re about an hour and toilets about 30-45 mins. If you’re planning on food/pres, I’d recommend taking the hit and getting food and a few beers inside a bit early and try to get to the hard flooring near the stage when the crowd hasn’t shown up yet by Trogadorr (Sat 17th Aug 2019 10:59am)
  • Are ye sorry yer a goth? by Trogadorr (Wed 11th Sep 2019 1:59pm)

  • Think that scaffolding has been there my whole life. Is there any info about it (assuming you’re talking about the one on union street) Plus there’s that new scaffolding outside tim hortons and four corners...central is actually such a shithole at the moment by Trogadorr (Fri 11th Oct 2019 1:34am)

  • That would be true if he was exclusively doing this over art...but he’s just doing it on blank walls. Think I’m in the minority but I personally hate street art and really don’t see how it enhances the “culture” of a city by Trogadorr (Mon 2nd Dec 2019 12:23pm)

  • I personally find it much easier to tell them that I’m under 18 to instigate a follow up from them and then proceed to shout “STRANGER” at them. I find that’s the best way to not draw attention to it by Trogadorr (Thu 16th Jan 2020 9:36am)
  • Can we swap them? At least this guy is playing an instrument instead of just sitting there by Trogadorr (Fri 7th Feb 2020 1:38pm)
  • There’s three ways that I think are the best, and using at least one of these in the past has always netted me a ticket I’ve missed out on. * First, set an alert for the concert on Twickets. The reason you want to use this site is that sellers can’t list it for more than the face value. You’ll need to pay a small site fee on top, but I imagine that would easily beat that £100+ value you’re talking about. * Find out if a Facebook event exists for the concert. They’re usually set up by the venue itself so go through the Barrowlands page. I’d say you’re going to have a 15-85 split of genuine to fake sellers. Take your time, if the person has a very private account they’re probably not genuine, most authentic people will at least have “Lives in Glasgow, United Kingdom” shown. Sure fire way of knowing is a) asking them to take a picture of the tickets and b) asking to get the ticket/pay for it in person. To be honest part b should be a given anyway, I don’t care if it’s an online ticket it’s not worth the risk. * Have a look on Twitter, just search the band’s name along with some buzzwords. Since people format themselves you don’t know how they’ll word it. “Ticket for Glasgow”, “ticket for o2 abc” etc, so try the band name along with the venue and ofc Glasgow all in separate searches. Again like Facebook, you’ll only want to meet in person. This should hopefully cover it. I’d say I’ve bought tickets from resellers 5-6 times in the past and never paid more than the face value. by Trogadorr (Fri 14th Feb 2020 5:16pm)

  • Drink prices in this city are shambolic. The whole idea of "London prices" are non existent anymore, I've been in bars in the city centre where it's more expensive for a pint by Trogadorr (Thu 9th Sep 2021 12:10pm)

But a minor Twitter outrage and now it’s cool to hate on them (as you’ve seen from the other reply, apparently you’re a cunt because you like a beer brewery). • It’s pish. Overpriced food vans frying frozen food and charging you an entry fee to even get in. Service is slow and employees clearly don’t own the vans and so don’t have any investment in dealing with a rush, resulting in huge wait times. Fun fact: when I paid with a card, the merchant name for duck food van was the same as a hot dog van at the other side. So you think you’ve got choice but evidently they aren’t exactly all independent. Despite being in an actual building, the toilets were fucking disgusting. I’ve been to plenty other food markets across the country and Big Feed is easily the worst I’ve been to. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone by Trogadorr (Fri 29th Apr 2022 12:53pm)

  • Can’t buy booze before 11am, can’t drink in the park, the current drinking laws we have now…it’s a total joke. The rampant alcoholism in our city is obviously the reason why we have such strict laws, but enforcing these laws to everyone is not the solution. Actually clamping down with policing on either a) junkies drinking/getting high in the street or b) mongos who obliterate themselves with booze and cause issues and actually fining/jailing the fuckers is the only way to solve it. by Trogadorr (Fri 30th Dec 2022 11:54pm)

Your best bet for this in future is to trawl those awful “<band> is playing in <city>, here’s what you need to know” awful posts you seen on sites like Glasgow Live.
