Owner and all the guys are really sound with decent patter, past convos include birds putting their fingers up your arse, where to get the best gear, swingers clubs etc. There's one on Miller street that's closed atm for refurbishment and a newish bigger/nicer one on Parnie street. Never had a bad haircut, £22 for a 45 minute booking. by Waqqy (Fri 29th Mar 2019 3:27pm)

  • Tried mozza once to see how it compares to paesano, it's similar but just not as good by Waqqy (Sat 16th May 2020 7:06am)
  • Been twice and I've been let down both times, doesn't compare to paesano imo. It's also a bit pricey iirc by Waqqy (Sat 16th May 2020 11:57am)

  • Teachers should honestly go on strike...it's absolutely ridiculous schools have been kept open with virtually no restrictions for kids And I know this lockdown is due to the new strain, but my point refers to the overall strategy since March by Waqqy (Sat 19th Dec 2020 9:30pm)
  • I honestly never knew these were for locals to use! We had one on my street growing up and I always thought it was just a stash for the council to use. by Waqqy (Mon 4th Jan 2021 10:01pm)
  • He's saying due to the way its been carried out, the data is going to be quite skewed towards UK cities with minimal representation of international cities, so it's a bit 'foolish' to declare it as the top in the world. by Waqqy (Fri 19th Feb 2021 8:11am)
  • I went down to Manchester for a week expecting a similar vibe to Glasgow since its a northern city...nope. People were consistently straight up rude or uninterested in talking by Waqqy (Fri 19th Feb 2021 8:17am)
  • Technically you're correct, but folk would argue it's still the same club in spirit by Waqqy (Mon 8th Mar 2021 4:19am)
  • You were implying this is due to people adding more rubbish due to being in parks etc more as a result of the pandemic, I think his point was that this has always been an issue so it isn't due to the pandemic, although is has obviously made it even worse. by Waqqy (Mon 15th Mar 2021 11:58am)

  • I used to until one time he made my mate and I give up our seats which we had waited hours for (and got by striking up some convo with a half-full table) just so he could give them to his pals. Literally never had that happen anywhere else. by Waqqy (Tue 15th Mar 2022 12:30am)

  • I read online that there's a big shortage of drivers mainly due to brexit. Money also not good enough to keep others from changing jobs, with some switching to food delivery instead. People getting pinged for covid probably has an impact too. by Waqqy (Wed 6th Apr 2022 12:10am)
  • Not gonna lie there was a brief period when I was a student that I'd get 1 or 2 a week. Would be like one of the very few things I'd eat that day though. by Waqqy (Wed 6th Apr 2022 2:45am)
  • I'm going to be that guy and say, whilst both are far better than I could ever do, I'm pretty underwhelmed by the progress. by Waqqy (Sat 23rd Apr 2022 3:48am)

  • Taxis have been cunts long before covid, when have they not been completely unreliable, overcharging, entitled, rude pricks? I was ecstatic when uber decimated their business, though they're not as good anymore. by Waqqy (Thu 19th May 2022 9:02pm)
  • Cheating is huge in Chinese culture, their culture has a very different mindset to the west. by Waqqy (Tue 7th Jun 2022 4:00am)
  • Magic City is one of the few and it's an alright night but honestly not a fan of the main dj/guy who runs it. Probably a decent bloke but not a good dj imo (first time he played at subby i could hear others saying hes shit on the dancefloor, though that crowd is a bit purist about djs). Crowd is very hypebeasty as well, if that's not your scene then I would give a miss. There's another night called Peach which is a bit more lowkey which plays a mix of stuff but I've been plastered everytime ive been so cant remember how good it is. I used to know one of the girls behind it though and she's sound. by Waqqy (Tue 14th Jun 2022 8:40pm)
  • Ah mate I get the McGills 3 and see people getting on it all the time not realising it's the other one they want. Some Italian guys got seriously pissed off thinking the driver took them to the wrong place. by Waqqy (Sat 25th Jun 2022 8:27pm)

  • Cetirixine plus beclomethasone spray works well for me (although the spray does leave the inside of my nostrils quite dry sometimes with weird thin dry bogy-like things) by Waqqy (Tue 26th Jul 2022 2:13pm)
  • I'd be for this idea but how would shops get their deliveries? Also lots of restaurants in town deliver distances too long for a bicycle. Not sure how taxi situation would be impacted. by Waqqy (Wed 17th Aug 2022 7:56pm)
  • Paesano does pretty good soft serve by Waqqy (Mon 29th Aug 2022 12:42pm)
  • Argos is a rip-off though by Waqqy (Sun 4th Sep 2022 1:10pm)
  • Literally anytime I've searched for an item they've never been anywhere near the cheapest option, plus they charge for delivery by Waqqy (Sun 4th Sep 2022 1:56pm)
  • Love paesano but didn't know about the price rise, I think I'd rather go to mozza then. Not as good but like half the price. by Waqqy (Thu 8th Sep 2022 3:44pm)
  • I still like mozza a lot, and a ~fiver difference is pretty signicant to me, especially for a group of people. by Waqqy (Thu 8th Sep 2022 4:56pm)
  • Gave it a Google and looks like it's used in Asian cooking too so maybe try some of the Chinese shops? by Waqqy (Tue 13th Sep 2022 9:53pm)

  • I'm looking for exact places not if pubs in general are lol. I've already phoned a couple who've said they're not by Waqqy (Sat 24th Sep 2022 1:04pm)
  • Appreciate the sarcasm but I phoned a couple earlier who said they're not showing it so figured out I'd find places in shawlands who are showing it before travelling through. by Waqqy (Sat 24th Sep 2022 1:03pm)
  • Kennishead and thornliebank are closer I'd say by Waqqy (Thu 29th Sep 2022 10:59pm)

  • Anyone know set times or support act for Joey Badass tonight? Literally no info I could find via Google. by Waqqy (Tue 20th Dec 2022 5:37pm)
  • Honestly an hour is fine for domestic but yeah leave 1.5 just in case. I literally flew from Berlin the other day and got there an hour before, even had time to browse the duty free and grab some food from a shop (to go). by Waqqy (Tue 20th Dec 2022 5:49pm)
  • This was at Berlin though, which isna far busier airport than Glasgow by Waqqy (Tue 20th Dec 2022 11:25pm)
  • Blue Arrow is permanently closed, I think there's a new house/techno club there now. (Which is great for me but it would've been nice to have a jazz bar in the city as I had never heard of it before and would have been interested in trying it) by Waqqy (Sun 29th Jan 2023 2:49am)
  • Strathclyde does rank better than Glasgow in business BUT Glasgow has a far better reputation overall and is arguably considered the most prestigious in Scotland after Edinburgh. You'll also get more of the 'true' student experience being in the West End with all the bars, restaurants, shops, etc, that have a student-focus. As a result of this prestige, there are a shitton of international students which you might find makes life easier in terms of making friends. Strathy has more industry connections though but possibly not relevant if you don't plan on working in UK after you graduate. by Waqqy (Sun 29th Jan 2023 3:13am)
  • You just don't like that style of pizza then, which is fine, but doesn't make it terrible. That's genuinely what authentic pizza is, you obviously prefer more western/American style by Waqqy (Fri 10th Feb 2023 11:24pm)
  • That's the real Napoli style experience though, the whole point is the authentic experience. If you want crazy toppings go to pizza hut or something by Waqqy (Fri 10th Feb 2023 11:23pm)
  • Thought it was very overrated personally by Waqqy (Fri 10th Feb 2023 11:20pm)
  • Toni's for me was always barely better than standard takeaway pizza, never understood the popularity tbh. by Waqqy (Fri 10th Feb 2023 11:26pm)
  • It's funny how years ago if you asked this question everyone would be saying Paesano, but now that it's really popular everyone turns into contrarians. Anyway, Paesano is still the best by a mile (if you like Neopolitan style), Mozza is decent but not comparable imo (and has a chain feel to it). by Waqqy (Fri 10th Feb 2023 11:34pm)
  • Fair enough 😂 by Waqqy (Fri 10th Feb 2023 11:58pm)
  • Personally I think these places are still part of Glasgow. They are just under a different administration. Some of the places you included are further out from the centre than some East Ren locations such as Thornliebank. by Waqqy (Thu 2nd Mar 2023 1:57am)
