Interests:

  • Any other solo travellers around want to get a drink or two tomorrow evening? (Mon 6th). I'm only in Glasgow for the night as I head north for some wild camping. by XanderCat (Sun 5th Sep 2021 3:31pm)
  • Any travellers (or anyone) fancy a drink this evening? Only here for one night as I pass through by XanderCat (Mon 6th Sep 2021 3:39pm)
  • I have an interest in Scottish football and Glasgow by XanderCat (Thu 23rd Dec 2021 12:14pm)
  • The 'west side', sure. The west end, probably not even scraping by. In fact you probably wouldn't get accepted for a flat to be honest. (This is assuming you're wanting to live alone) by XanderCat (Tue 15th Mar 2022 7:59am)
  • It's ok but personally I think TCA Prop Store is much better and it's not far away (Maryhill) by XanderCat (Tue 12th Apr 2022 8:30am)
  • Yeah more than enough bouldering, probably about the same amount as The Newsroom tbh. Prop Store is just newer, cleaner etc. by XanderCat (Tue 12th Apr 2022 9:01am)
  • Thanks by XanderCat (Thu 14th Apr 2022 5:15pm)
  • Stayed there while I was solo travelling and was surprised how good it was for the price. by XanderCat (Mon 16th May 2022 1:57pm)
  • When I was there I actually ended up going to a bar to meet someone I matched with on Tinder but I did notice the hostel had a bar on the bottom floor and other backpackers etc. were checking in so I think there's a good chance you could meet like-minded people by XanderCat (Mon 16th May 2022 2:10pm)
  • Now in a relationship with the same girl, so pretty well 🙂 by XanderCat (Mon 16th May 2022 7:15pm)
  • Sorry not sure, I stayed in a double room with an en-suite and it was about £20-£25 on a Saturday night because I'd booked it fairly far in advance. Came with breakfast and parking around the corner too by XanderCat (Mon 16th May 2022 7:53pm)
  • This sub needs a blanket ban on these kinds of posts. The majority of these posts are clearly fake and any actual useful information/advice is more readily available on council/government websites. by XanderCat (Tue 12th Jul 2022 8:26am)
  • Lunch and dinner. Tea is a drink. by XanderCat (Sat 7th Jan 2023 8:45pm)
  • Christ, it's clear from your post history how miserable you must be. There's plenty of reasons people may use a truck instead of a car. Some people probably just buy one because they want one, in the same way people buy sports cars or a bicycle in your case, presumably. by XanderCat (Sat 25th Mar 2023 5:54pm)
  • Last year there wasn't a single pickup truck in the top 10 vehicles that caused the most traffic accidents per 10,000 models... Most of the cars on the list are hatchbacks. by XanderCat (Sat 25th Mar 2023 8:40pm)
  • Carrying heavy and/or dirty stuff, that you wouldn't want to put inside your car, from A to B. Do the questions get harder? by XanderCat (Sat 25th Mar 2023 8:50pm)
  • Depends on the exact model but they're likely to have far superior towing capacity. Also, if you have a dead deer or farm animal for example, you'd have to enjoy the smell enclosed in the van with you. A double cab has back seats for family whereas people can't really double a transit van as a family vehicle. Are you seriously trying to imply that pickups have no purpose? If you don't want one, don't buy one. They shouldn't be banned, like OP is suggesting, just because you don't need one. by XanderCat (Sun 26th Mar 2023 6:31am)
  • DELETED In a previous comment on your profile you say, and I quote, 'boy do I hate when someone dictates what I can and can't eat' but here you are telling people what vehicle they should or shouldn't be allowed to spend money on. by XanderCat (Sun 26th Mar 2023 5:07pm)
