  • Having had experience of a few different services I can say first bus is fuckin SHITE. Definitely a higher percentage of arsehole drivers with 'chip on their shoulder' kinda attitudes. It's just a terrible company all round. Stagecoach have some of the nicest drivers you could ask for, primarily using them since I moved to Cumbernauld. Service with a smile, on time and for a fraction of the price. Wish they would replace First in Gtown by Yabbadabbadingdong2 (Thu 27th Jun 2019 1:26am)

  • I was on clynder street, basically on the borderline between Ibrox and govan. there are some nice-ish areas in govan and some wonderful people but its the kind of place where you have to be recognised to be safe. Govanhill isn't any better. supposedly there is a child prostitution ring around there. haven't lived there to be fair. there are much better places in the southside. shawlands is definitely an improvement. maybe newlands crossmyloof or langside, although I think you'd pay more by Yabbadabbadingdong2 (Fri 5th Jul 2019 1:04pm)

  • You're way off mate. The Mrs is looking for places of historical significance to photograph. I don't need help finding places to paint. And I wouldn't do it in any of these places anyway. by Yabbadabbadingdong2 (Wed 3rd Feb 2021 8:45pm)
  • I guess you're one of the original 'urb-ex' people who did it when it was cool before the "lazy" people ruined it. I don't have time to wander about Glasgow hoping to happen upon something of significance. This isn't a hobby. And I'm not even asking for myself by Yabbadabbadingdong2 (Wed 3rd Feb 2021 8:53pm)

  • Anything that serves as a gathering place for a community is significant imo. But judging by your comments, you wouldn't know much about that by Yabbadabbadingdong2 (Thu 4th Feb 2021 8:37am)

  • Walk into a hotel and ask for a job. During covid all the seasoned hospitality staff left and most hotels in the city are full of complete muppets now. I just left a hotel where they were putting inexperienced teenagers in management positions. Not even exaggerating by Yabbadabbadingdong2 (Mon 16th Jan 2023 6:18am)
  • This is completely innaccurate. I know someone who reported themselves homeless. Didn't have to report risk of abuse or anything like that, just that she was staying with a friend who was selling the house and she needed somewhere to live. She now has a flat courtesy of gha by Yabbadabbadingdong2 (Mon 16th Jan 2023 8:45am)
  • But it's not different from what you claimed in your comment. You can absolutely just rock up to the council and claim to be homeless. Just read some of the other comments on this post by Yabbadabbadingdong2 (Mon 16th Jan 2023 9:16am)
  • Right I think I see what you mean. Yeah you would phone up the council housing associations, rather than the GCC switchboard and report yourself homeless and the housing association will find you accommodation. If OP phones up and says he's going to be homeless because he doesn't have money to pay rent, he will get help. by Yabbadabbadingdong2 (Mon 16th Jan 2023 9:46am)
  • There are two hotels at the top of west nile Street. Just north of Cineworld. Holiday Inn & Holiday Inn Express Theatreland. I would recommend going for the express first, that's where I worked. But tbh I think most hotels will at leat give you an interview. by Yabbadabbadingdong2 (Tue 17th Jan 2023 2:23pm)
  • "Amature — Which Is Correct? According to the English dictionary, “amateur” is the correct spelling of the word. “Amature” is just a misspelled version of the word with no definition. However, “amature” is frequently used by people because it sounds similar to the word “mature.” But this is an incorrect spelling!" by Yabbadabbadingdong2 (Sat 21st Jan 2023 6:33pm)
