  • Thanks for responding. I have an interest in history/archive and I graduated in history 2 years ago. I’m 23, gay and trans. I spend a lot of time at home with my boyfriend but we have both realised it is probably a bit healthy to constantly be at home so I have decided to try and find some friends by adrianplants (Fri 6th May 2022 7:36pm)
  • Thanks for taking the time to write out this message. It really helps by adrianplants (Sat 7th May 2022 4:53pm)

  • The last tenement I lived in, if one flat had mice, they usually all did by adrianplants (Thu 28th Jul 2022 8:26pm)
  • If you want somewhere quieter, I’d suggest the outskirts where there’s good transport links to get into the city centre for work. Places like bishopbriggs. Maybe even Paisley, it’s still quite busy there though! by adrianplants (Fri 29th Jul 2022 9:21pm)

  • Moved to Kirkintilloch about 9 months ago from Dennistoun (grew up in Bishopbriggs). Best decision I’ve ever made. I’m right in the town centre. Give me a message if you have any questions. by adrianplants (Tue 17th Jan 2023 4:40pm)
  • Nigiri in Kirkintilloch by adrianplants (Thu 19th Jan 2023 5:15pm)
  • If you find the right home you were in you could submit a Subject Access Request to the relevant council. That is if you’re interested in finding out any details of course by adrianplants (Fri 27th Jan 2023 11:30pm)
  • Have you considered a degree apprenticeship? Here’s one here: https://www.scottishpower.com/pages/cyber_security_energy_networks.aspx by adrianplants (Sat 4th Mar 2023 1:34pm)
  • Barclays seem to do good apprenticeships and some are IT based by adrianplants (Mon 10th Apr 2023 2:06am)
  • Thanks really useful, I’ll take a look at Udemy. To be honest, I’m doing what most will see as pretty basic (e.g. creating 3 month rolling average) but my lack of prior knowledge means I’m not able to execute things correctly. The information online is really useful but I’m not able to translate it correctly into my needs, and end up being hit with errors by adrianplants (Tue 16th May 2023 12:29pm)
  • Something like that would be ideal, just out of my budget unfortunately by adrianplants (Tue 16th May 2023 12:31pm)
  • Didn’t consider ChatGPT, interesting! by adrianplants (Tue 16th May 2023 1:15pm)

  • I did the NPA too at the start of the year -thankfully it was online and in the evening so I didn’t have to take any time off work for it. I’m currently it data protecting/information governance and cyber security is becoming a big part of the role. I started looking into it for job prospects, but I’m actually really into it now! I learn more from tutor-led training, so I’m trying to do as many of these courses as possible and considering maybe a postgrad uni degree in the future by adrianplants (Sat 30th Sep 2023 8:37am)
  • I still feel very much in the beginning stages of cyber sec so maybe not ready to attend meets! I’ll definitely keep it in mind for the future though! Thanks very much for this info! by adrianplants (Sat 30th Sep 2023 10:34am)
  • Did the Cyber Security NPA earlier in the year and it was great. Send me a message if you have any questions at all by adrianplants (Mon 13th Nov 2023 12:54pm)
