  • Same with me, the last one I insisted for a quick contract because I needed a proof of address urgently. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind giving my details once he sees the flat and he would like to apply for tenancy, but giving all details just to arrange a viewing kind of sounds mental? As you said it is hard and it looks like it will get worse! by aearion_7 (Mon 4th Oct 2021 4:57pm)
  • Really good idea! I checked and they are registered, thanks though I will keep this in mind for the future. So to book a viewing they are asking him the standard tenancy application to fill all details and they are asking him to fill guarantor details as he's coming from abroad. The guarantor form itself is a full form with national security number, my addresses, work details etc. As I said I don't mind giving these details once he actually applies to get it after viewing, but just to see seems a bit weird? Or things have changed a lot since I last rented. by aearion_7 (Mon 4th Oct 2021 5:02pm)
  • Thank you for the detailed response, I appreciate it. I know the guy from my previous university so I am hoping it should be okay but you never know. As you said there is a massive risk, but also there is no other way at the moment since he does not have a track record in this country. I just thought that it was weird, but if it has come to this during the Covid, I will just have to give the details and hope for the best! by aearion_7 (Mon 4th Oct 2021 5:11pm)
  • Littering… amount of food boxes lying about on streets on Sunday morning is unbelievable. by aearion_7 (Mon 5th Sep 2022 3:36pm)
  • That was second on my list of disappointment when I first arrived. Clyde potential is huge but not used. The first one is the littering though… by aearion_7 (Mon 5th Sep 2022 3:35pm)
