  • Elena’s across from old Yorkhill Hospital is a Tapas place with a full vegan menu. Pretty sure they do gift voucher stuff. edit: Still doing a vegan menu but can’t see anything about gift vouchers on their website. Sure I got an email or something once. Maybe give them a call. by barrivia (Wed 9th Jan 2019 3:50pm)

  • Yes they are a registered charity however the upkeep is massive, they have wages to pay and they don’t run all year round. This isn’t the first time they’ve need to make expensive improvements so money will have been spent on those. by barrivia (Mon 17th Jun 2019 12:49pm)

  • Yeah in the past you could just turn up and pay £3. What’s happening at the moment is you need to book ahead so they can keep social distancing. All you have to do is register on the website or the app and then pick a time slot and pay for it. Still pay as you go though. by barrivia (Mon 9th Nov 2020 11:19am)

  • Manage okay but it’s never straight forward especially around the southside. Some units are more reliable than others. Some tend to get parked in by non-EVs. Some are popular and are used a lot by EVs. There’s a good enough amount around me that I manage but it will involve a 5-10 minute walk or bike ride via NextBike to get home. It’s helped since lockdown measures have eased that there’s more places open so will get a near full charge heading to cinema/gym/pool/shops at least once a week. In-laws just got one as well so been able to trickle charge at their house and hopefully once they get a dedicated charger it’ll be enough to pop round once a week and get a charge as well. by barrivia (Mon 6th Dec 2021 3:12pm)

  • It really really depends on the car. My Ioniq 38kwh is at most 6 hours from single digits to full. My wife and I tend to just charge our and and about as much as possible. Visiting family, shopping, cinema anytime we are out we’re looking for a charger nearby. We’ve gotten used to where most chargers are so in the end we’re always got more than enough in any given day. I’ve managed public charging only since August 2020 and during that time it has been free tariff in Glasgow. That won’t last and I’m surprised it hasn’t changed. by barrivia (Sat 3rd Sep 2022 10:47am)
