  • Thanks for the reccomendation, I was wanting something like this. Want to be sure I'm only going to the shop if I really need to by bluesharkk (Mon 23rd Mar 2020 9:33am)
  • Not seen any yeast for weeks. I think I'm going to try [this](https://practicalselfreliance.com/potato-yeast-starter/) method with potato but I'm not sure how well it will work. My sourdough hasn't turend out too well in the past.. by bluesharkk (Sun 29th Mar 2020 10:59pm)
  • My Dad has a student who returned home to China shortly before the lockdown. He's been worried about my Dad (in his 60s but without underlying conditions) so he is sending face masks as he can easily access them in China. Would it be worth calling the local hospital and offering them some when they arrive or are regular face masks not useful PPE for hospital staff? • I thought that might be the case when I was there too, a lot of their stock also seemed to be short sell by dates and wasn't getting replaced. Didn't know it had been struggling for so long though. by bluesharkk (Tue 7th Sep 2021 5:52pm)
  • Thanks, I'll definitely go there on my next trip. by bluesharkk (Tue 7th Sep 2021 5:50pm)
  • Oh dear, must be a countrywide shortage by bluesharkk (Tue 7th Sep 2021 7:03pm)
  • >"They should be lucky to have a job" Can never understand why people who think like this don't think "I'm lucky to have my bin collected". Most people don't want to have to be the ones to deal with waste management and even if you do of course you want to be paid fairly. by bluesharkk (Thu 14th Oct 2021 8:28pm)
  • I didn't know that but that makes a lot more sense to why they'd be out later and in winter. by bluesharkk (Mon 13th Dec 2021 4:52pm)
