  • I've even seen him greet everyone when he's doing the checks at either Ibrox or Govan. Always makes my day! by casmaxx (Mon 3rd Feb 2020 6:55pm)
  • Thanks, does that also mean I can apply for another letter and then get a better bike? by casmaxx (Wed 18th Nov 2020 4:43pm)
  • Thanks, mud guards and a bag were definitely not in my mind. by casmaxx (Wed 18th Nov 2020 4:42pm)
  • There was a video posted the other day, a bus encountering a cyclist and his dog. Although it was funny, it was kind of scary considering it happens quite often. by casmaxx (Wed 18th Nov 2020 4:50pm)
  • Waterproof Socks! Thanks. I've come from a place where the drivers have zero regard for pedestrians and cyclists. But the thing is its always probably the cyclist having to suffer. by casmaxx (Wed 18th Nov 2020 4:59pm)
  • Many thanks for your advice. Unfortunate that one has to spend so much on securing the bike. by casmaxx (Wed 18th Nov 2020 4:55pm)
  • Thanks, I'll definitely try to build this attitude 😊. by casmaxx (Wed 18th Nov 2020 5:00pm)
  • Thanks will try pay a visit before the lockdown by casmaxx (Wed 18th Nov 2020 9:22pm)
  • That's such an important point. The whole neighborhood actually becomes after the bins are collected. The bin collectors perhaps rightfully don't bother with what comes out while the bins are emptied to the truck. People not sealing their trash or the use of super cheap bin bags. But well done on your efforts and hopefully it will start a chain reaction all over the city. by casmaxx (Sun 4th Apr 2021 9:48am)
  • Thanks for the link! by casmaxx (Sun 11th Apr 2021 10:51pm)
  • :-( by casmaxx (Fri 28th May 2021 12:27pm)
  • I know a few people moving from Hong Kong and buy properties in cash. Probably something to do with the change in British National Overseas (BNO) citizenship policies at the start of the year. by casmaxx (Fri 4th Jun 2021 11:54am)
  • Have to keep the windows open for the past couple of days due to the heat. The sneezing has just been relentless 🤧😷😤😭. by casmaxx (Tue 29th Jun 2021 8:14pm)
  • Excellent definition of a great vacuum cleaner. Gonna plagiarise you. by casmaxx (Tue 27th Jul 2021 10:04pm)
  • I'm currently leasing with them. My landlord mostly completes the maintenance requests I put through Fineholm. Fineholm sent an invoice to the landlord for a job he completed himself. by casmaxx (Thu 5th Aug 2021 5:20pm)
  • Thanks for this. Any idea how to download the data? We have tried in the past but all we are able to do in generate png files out of the website. The contacts are also non responsive. by casmaxx (Fri 24th Sep 2021 1:03pm)
  • Wow. Kinda my story for the two years I have been here. Been in my `cocoon` mostly. by casmaxx (Wed 13th Oct 2021 7:28pm)
  • A friend of mine is coming to Glasgow for this. Does anyone know of a starter pack for visitors that I can point him to? Mostly interested in transport modes to the venue and clothing. Thanks. by casmaxx (Sat 16th Oct 2021 7:38am)
  • Thanks. I am planning to lend my bike to my friend to travel from the south side to the venues. Not sure where the bike racks would be placed for parking. by casmaxx (Sat 16th Oct 2021 9:48am)
  • That's a great point with today's infuriating news about the all access pass handed out to the delegates. Thanks for this. by casmaxx (Mon 18th Oct 2021 10:22pm)
  • A bit late to the party and most of the leaves have shed half of their leaves? Any suggested places to enjoy the most of the autumn colours? by casmaxx (Thu 21st Oct 2021 2:54pm)
  • Cheers for sharing this. by casmaxx (Wed 27th Oct 2021 11:12am)

  • Someone stole both the tyres of my bike on University Ave today and that too in daylight. I was hoping to prevent some carbon emissions but I hope the ones caused by burning the thief's hands and arms are justified. by casmaxx (Mon 15th Nov 2021 5:47pm)
  • Sorry to hear that. Hope they get caught. by casmaxx (Tue 16th Nov 2021 7:49pm)
  • They were quick-release Giant GX wheels with SX-2 tyres on. Learnt my lesson of not securing the quick release wheels the hard way :-(. by casmaxx (Mon 22nd Nov 2021 1:59pm)
  • Ouch. That must have hurt. But what you are describing is shocking at the very least. by casmaxx (Mon 22nd Nov 2021 1:57pm)
  • Yes, that was the first thing I did. Unfortunately, they told me that specific area is not covered by CCTV footage. by casmaxx (Mon 22nd Nov 2021 2:38pm)
  • Yeah the person at the bike shop had the same view. Looks like the bike thefts are way ahead in their game. by casmaxx (Mon 22nd Nov 2021 2:54pm)
  • Yes, I have posted there. The issue there is there is an established process for the whole bike but not much so for parts like wheels unfortunately. by casmaxx (Mon 22nd Nov 2021 5:54pm)
  • Yeah, didn't put much thought on the wheels whilst buying. I guess hadn't learnt my lesson of tying the camel 😕. by casmaxx (Mon 22nd Nov 2021 5:55pm)
  • Wondering what's the best place to enjoy sunset on a clear winter day like the one we had today. Last week, we headed to the west coast but clouds started building up at the horizon. Driving is such a massive challenge with the low sun right into the eyes. by casmaxx (Sun 5th Dec 2021 6:42pm)
  • That's so funny. Thanks for the share. by casmaxx (Sun 5th Dec 2021 7:29pm)
  • Thanks. Didn't think about heading up north to the hills. I guess the former is a straight forward hike? by casmaxx (Sun 5th Dec 2021 8:42pm)
  • The University Challenge has got me going, I would to participate but virtually. by casmaxx (Thu 9th Dec 2021 10:29pm)
  • So is disabilities. Thanks for this, really useful. by casmaxx (Tue 21st Dec 2021 11:19pm)
  • Yes. by casmaxx (Tue 4th Jan 2022 5:27pm)
  • Thanks for this 🙂. That's indeed a cardinal sin. My point is the road marking is non existent there and the curve of the road making the yield sign post easy to miss. Here's a picture from Google Maps: A809 https://maps.app.goo.gl/6BGG1hYusAcRk5yHA -- Sharing it to see if there is anything that can be done to prevent something bad. by casmaxx (Tue 4th Jan 2022 5:38pm)
  • The M8 bridge along with the airport smelt like a super fart. Utterly \*\*breathtaking\*\*. by casmaxx (Mon 10th Jan 2022 6:26pm)
  • They told me it will be a couple of weeks for repairing my jackets zip. by casmaxx (Mon 10th Jan 2022 8:49pm)
  • Am I later to the party? Can I take my daughter to get a glimpse of the shooting? by casmaxx (Sat 15th Jan 2022 4:17pm)
  • Driving to the US consulate Edinburgh but haven't got a clue where to park. Any idea anyone? Thanks. by casmaxx (Wed 19th Jan 2022 10:26am)
  • Great. Never thought of it. So the Scotrail website tells me I need to take a bus from Central to Queen Street station. Not sure the bus ticket is included. Travelling with family. by casmaxx (Wed 19th Jan 2022 11:17am)
  • Thanks :-). by casmaxx (Wed 19th Jan 2022 11:37am)
  • Really eager to know some historical/underlying reasons why the high school kids especially the boys are all brawn and no brain? Think only the seagulls beat them when it comes to public disorder like littering and shouting. by casmaxx (Fri 21st Jan 2022 12:24pm)
  • Or perhaps they want the seagulls in second place. by casmaxx (Fri 21st Jan 2022 5:42pm)

  • Thanks for this. Really enjoyed being there last winter with the frozen ponds. Somehow missed the early springtime. Looking forward to it. by casmaxx (Fri 4th Mar 2022 4:37pm)
  • I recently purchased the swimming membership. You have made me having second thoughts 🤢. 😂 by casmaxx (Wed 23rd Mar 2022 8:31pm)
  • Lovely. by casmaxx (Wed 30th Mar 2022 9:35am)
  • Wonder how it will look like in all those Hollywood movies. by casmaxx (Thu 31st Mar 2022 3:49pm)
  • A bit unrelated. My neighbour is part of the [Barnhill Farm](https://barnhillfarm.co.uk/) which is running a festival over the weekend. If the kids fancy being around animals like emus, ponies, and sheep, then the farm close to the airport is a nice place to be at. They sell locally grown vegetables and fresh milk. by casmaxx (Fri 20th May 2022 4:17pm)
  • Arguably the strangest name for a place. by casmaxx (Mon 23rd May 2022 11:40pm)
  • After moving to Glasgow, went to a picnic with my family in Queens Park in the first week. Not a couple of months passed that we were robbed of our sandwiches by a couple of unleashed dogs. That was the last picnic we had in parks. by casmaxx (Tue 21st Jun 2022 5:35pm)
  • Enjoying a lot of parks in and around Glasgow but the toilet facilities are close to non-existent. Any particular reason for the absence? by casmaxx (Sat 25th Jun 2022 6:02pm)
  • Sorry to hear that. Wish we could call \`Saul Goodman\` in these situations. by casmaxx (Wed 29th Jun 2022 10:16am)
  • :-). Should revise my post to request for a spot nearby with the loudest and clearest reception without visuals :-). by casmaxx (Thu 30th Jun 2022 12:40pm)
  • Yay. Cheers. See you there. by casmaxx (Thu 30th Jun 2022 4:14pm)
  • I just stood at the entrance and the screens were all clearly visible. Plus full volume. by casmaxx (Thu 30th Jun 2022 9:00pm)
  • Cheers, thanks by casmaxx (Fri 22nd Jul 2022 10:36pm)
  • Oh. I have been going full Tam with 80p Aldi packs and wondering why isn't anything happening. Thanks for this. by casmaxx (Fri 22nd Jul 2022 10:36pm)
  • Thanks. by casmaxx (Sat 23rd Jul 2022 12:08pm)
  • Out of desperation, I sometimes put honey around the eyes. Right after applying, its like putting some petrol on fire but appears to work. Thanks for sharing. by casmaxx (Sat 23rd Jul 2022 12:14pm)
  • Thanks. by casmaxx (Sat 23rd Jul 2022 12:11pm)
  • That's a great tip, thanks. Been doing something similar with lotion around the eyes and nostrils. Works for me sometimes but won't recommend lotion close to the eyes as part of it just seeps onto the eyeballs. by casmaxx (Sat 23rd Jul 2022 12:11pm)
  • Thanks for sharing the link. by casmaxx (Sat 23rd Jul 2022 12:15pm)
  • Was gonna say this. The space industry landscape around Glasgow is at a very exciting stage with potentially lots of opportunities for electrical engineers. Recently attended one of the focused events on space technologies and was amazed that most of the discussion was around... [kerbal space program](https://www.kerbalspaceprogram.com/). As someone also mentioned, Strathclyde has one of the best programs in energy (renewables, smart grid etc.). Hoping you enjoy the remaining two years of your program. by casmaxx (Mon 25th Jul 2022 5:49pm)
  • My wife learnt in my daughter's school playground which fortunately during the lockdowns was open. It was flat, paved and a huge space to begin with. Some school doors these days are still open during various summer activities so you might check that out. by casmaxx (Thu 28th Jul 2022 10:55pm)
  • 👀 by casmaxx (Tue 2nd Aug 2022 8:53am)
  • Is there a way to reach Edinburgh before 6:00 AM through public transport/rideshare? The earliest train leaves Glasgow at 6:00 :-(. by casmaxx (Mon 12th Sep 2022 12:42pm)
  • Awesome thanks. Hoping to find a way to find to get to Edinburgh Waverley from the airport. by casmaxx (Mon 12th Sep 2022 2:35pm)
  • If you were around, I would have just hugged you. Thank you! by casmaxx (Thu 15th Sep 2022 12:57pm)
  • As I look back, admit how ridiculous it sounds 😂. Probably its the mildly pungent nature of the smell. Given the smell is ambient or spread in quite a big area (whole neighbourhood) despite the wind (like tonight), need to find some wild basils around. Thanks for some pointers. by casmaxx (Sat 17th Sep 2022 10:58pm)
  • This appears to be the most likely. Cheers by casmaxx (Sat 17th Sep 2022 11:02pm)
  • Can't be this ambient. Indoors probably, outdoors unlikely. Thanks by casmaxx (Sat 17th Sep 2022 11:26pm)
  • Had to look up jakey 😂. by casmaxx (Sat 17th Sep 2022 11:25pm)
  • Love this right after the rain. But hasn't rained for a while. by casmaxx (Sun 18th Sep 2022 12:58pm)
  • Close to Bellahouston Park. It's indeed fantastic whatever it is. by casmaxx (Sun 18th Sep 2022 12:55pm)
  • Southside close to Bellahouston Park. Have a line of lime trees in front of the flat. There is this annoying sticky spray this time of the year around the trees. by casmaxx (Sun 18th Sep 2022 1:03pm)
  • Google brings up 'stinking willie' upon looking up ragwort. Will have to inspect around. by casmaxx (Sun 18th Sep 2022 1:01pm)
  • Haha. Pollok Park is not far off and seen deer there in the winters. But kinda like the smell 😊 by casmaxx (Sun 18th Sep 2022 12:59pm)

  • Could be the moss given the high level of humidity with not much wind. by casmaxx (Tue 8th Nov 2022 12:13pm)
  • Awesome. Thanks for sharing. by casmaxx (Mon 14th Nov 2022 7:57pm)
  • Never seen a post this relevant to the flair tag. by casmaxx (Thu 17th Nov 2022 9:45pm)
  • We have been rather lucky lately that the council has been very active in keeping the area clean (pollokshields). They have even scraped the moss off the pavements. After a storm a couple of weeks ago, they even removed all the tree related debris in a couple of days. by casmaxx (Sun 5th Mar 2023 6:52pm)
  • Thank you! This really helped in planning things for my family as the days started to brighten up. All the best. by casmaxx (Sun 25th Jun 2023 1:08am)
  • As others have said, absolutely yes. Assuming you would cycle to the Gilmorehill campus (the west end one), make sure you secure your bike when parked. Also the university offers free bike check and minor repairs throughout the semester. by casmaxx (Wed 16th Aug 2023 11:14pm)
  • Thanks 🙂 as someone whose only source of training is YouTube videos, I really appreciate what you do 🫡. I've got the notorious Ford focus and have spent days to figure out what is wrong. Apparently it's not 'pond in the spare wheel well' issue that plagues the Focuses. by casmaxx (Sat 30th Sep 2023 6:05pm)
  • I would like to sign up but have never been able to elaborate/explain properly what I want. Thanks by casmaxx (Sat 30th Sep 2023 6:10pm)
