  • Have you ever tried using the handbrake? Stops you from rolling backwards and you can release once you feel the cars pushing forward, for some it makes it much easier to start at hills.   • Which uni will you attended? Glasgow or Strathclyde? When I first arrived in Scotland I stayed at Buchanan view, which was OK. All student accommodations are quite expensive. I always recommend to search for private accommodation but single bedroom flats are expensive as well and finding flat area in the current situation is probably also not easy. I’d also recommend to contact your uni or their union see if they can help you out. Have you tried gumtree, sometimes there are rooms offered by derheftigestu (Tue 2nd Aug 2022 2:20am)
