  • Indeed, it does look like a great one! Most likely I won’t be there to take her out somewhere, hence why an experience I can book or smth I could buy would be best! by el_ratita (Thu 2nd Jun 2022 8:03pm)

  • Story from this particular Mcd’s: back when I was a student, two blokes, sitting next to my flatmate and I at Mcd’s m, started chatting to us. Turns out they were twin brothers separated early on in life, one living in the US and the other in NZ. They were doing a backpacking trip across Europe to celebrate their reunion. They were asking if we knew a good place for them to stay and after chatting a little longer, we invited to crash in our living room since we had some space. They ended up staying 2 nights and as we went out on the second night, the mess unfolded. They took MDMA, and combined with alcohol and edible weed gums, it was a recipe for disaster. They couldn’t coordinate movements and had to be taken back to the flat. One fell asleep but the other one was tripping hard and started to roam around the flat, waking up my other flatmate as he was “trying to catch butterflies”. He also emptied the fridge looking for his motorcycle or went downstairs in the street to wait for the bus, at 5 am, barefooted… The next morning he completely passed out on the sofa with his phone blasting music at full volume by his ears. They left later this day but added one of my friends on Facebook. We figured out they weren’t brothers at all, well over 30 yo (not 25 as they told us) and more likely to be on the verge of homelessness rather than just doing a backpacking trip by el_ratita (Sun 2nd Apr 2023 6:54am)
  • I would be keen to organise a volunteer litter pick too, this park is to good to get littered… by el_ratita (Tue 11th Apr 2023 9:39pm)
  • Hey it’s one too many posts I’ve seen regarding this issue. I love this city and it’s a shame to see it like this. It would be great to get together and discuss about it IRL. Why not while picking up some garbage in a park actually. DM me and I’ll organise something for the weekend through a WhatsApp group by el_ratita (Wed 12th Apr 2023 8:18pm)
  • Honorable mention to Meadow Road Coffee in Partick, definitely worth it if you're in the area! Good saucy sandwich saved the day on multiple occasions by el_ratita (Sat 8th Jul 2023 6:41am)
