  • I'm from Vegas and the weird part is that the international terminal 3 is great - everything looks brand new, it's clean and spacious. And fucking empty every time I'm there, even whilst the old shitty part is rammed with people. I can't understand why so few flights seem to leave from the best terminal, but I suppose there's some reason. by fickleobsessive (Thu 16th Jun 2022 4:59pm)
  • Figures it would have something to do with profits. What a waste. by fickleobsessive (Thu 16th Jun 2022 5:25pm)
  • That's a good point, I definitely don't want to be a dick and clog up already crowded buses if it's not actually necessary. by fickleobsessive (Mon 20th Jun 2022 8:53pm)
  • Thanks all, I think the verdict is a few WFH days. by fickleobsessive (Mon 20th Jun 2022 10:37pm)
  • Mine's just a job that can be mostly done on a computer. Some things are in person but meetings are mostly on Zoom, I work with spreadsheets and documents and that can all be done remotely. I couldn't do call centres again either, I just find it miserable. by fickleobsessive (Mon 20th Jun 2022 10:35pm)
  • Don't know who's downvoting you but they can shove it up their arse. Your attitude is completely correct. by fickleobsessive (Thu 14th Jul 2022 5:10pm)
  • I came to Scotland from the US in 2014 to attend grad school and stayed for the same reasons. Once you know what it's like to be treated like a person, it's hard to go back. by fickleobsessive (Tue 19th Jul 2022 10:13am)
  • Don't know why you were downvoted tbh. Where have all the people who moan about Glasgow been going? Where are they from? So they found poverty in a city - what a shock. I'm from the states and grew up in Vegas and LA. Never been scared in Scotland once, not while living in Dundee or Glasgow. Homeless people are usually sound and if you can't outrun a junkie then you probably need to take more fuckin exercise. And I'm only half joking. by fickleobsessive (Fri 9th Sep 2022 8:26pm)
  • I'm an American who's apparently losing my accent a bit after near a decade in Scotland. Have been asked more than once if I'm Australian - by other Americans! Probably just stupidity, but I can't think how on earth they came up with it. by fickleobsessive (Wed 14th Sep 2022 11:10am)
  • Aw man I miss Fife. Lived there nearly 8 years, then moved to Glasgow. Didn't realize the accent and slang would be so different. Everyone sees, but no one kens...weans everywhere but not a bairn in sight. by fickleobsessive (Wed 14th Sep 2022 11:18am)
