  • I agree with this, studied Film at Edinburgh Uni and while it was interesting it doesn't count for much in the industry, working on jobs does. Do runner work, cable bashing or find a trainee position. by gavtron96 (Sat 4th Apr 2020 1:05am)
  • It was common up until the 80s but it’s dying now out mostly. Must have been a right auld yin who stuck the money in! by gavtron96 (Fri 10th Sep 2021 6:52am)
  • I’ve seen a lot of Glasgow celebs over the years in the street or in various venues including limmy, frankie Boyle, Eddi reader, Elaine c smith, the one who plays her daughter on three doors down, still game cast, Alex from franz Ferdinand, Johnny Beattie, various footballers. I can’t say much about any of them as I just clocked them and carried on. I did serve Kirsty Wark once and she was nice enough but harassed as she had her kids with her (they were young at the time) and was giving them a row for misbehaving at the same time. by gavtron96 (Fri 10th Sep 2021 7:19am)
  • Not sure if it was this as I’m quite far away from the shipyards in Paisley south but perhaps? It was either that or a meteor. Didn’t hear any noise. by gavtron96 (Wed 15th Sep 2021 10:08am)
  • This is the real problem we need a proper system that gives everyone a safe space to travel. by gavtron96 (Mon 18th Oct 2021 12:09pm)
  • I get that the roads aren’t safe a lot of the time for cyclists, I used to cycle myself but gave it up due to the lack of safety. It’s not fair on pedestrians to cycle on the footpath and it is illegal. If a pavement is totally empty I don’t mind but so many adult cyclists in town hop on the footpath out of nowhere or come flying along it even when the roads are quite and are then angry at me for being in their way. I walk everywhere (using footpaths) and it’s not annoying that it isn’t safe at times because of the entitlement of some adults on bikes. by gavtron96 (Mon 18th Oct 2021 12:08pm)
  • I quite like watching fireworks but I do think sale should be restricted to trained, licenced people for organised displays only. Too much abuse of them and of course the upset and risk they cause to animals. by gavtron96 (Mon 7th Nov 2022 1:14am)
  • This guy is supposed to be good, I haven't used him myself but know a few who do. He does small groups and private training. Derek Wales Fitness and Nutrition, he's on Facebook. by gavtron96 (Mon 7th Nov 2022 10:01am)
  • There is specialist training for fireworks if you bothered to check, no need to be so pig ignorant. by gavtron96 (Wed 30th Nov 2022 12:40am)
