  • I've never understood why they don't just limit these sort of things to the likes of Glasgow Green and Kelvingrove, rather than closing off swathes of the city for ages on a regular basis. by jasontredecim (Sat 8th Jun 2019 5:58pm)
  • I've not lived in Glasgow for a while now, sadly, but I remember the days of getting the bus in from Pollokshields to the city centre for work and it being a completely different fare every morning. As you say, a complete lucky dip. I live in Edinburgh now (booo, I know) and the bus service here is so much better than Glasgow's was when I lived there (I'm presuming it must have improved slightly in the last few years there, surely?). by jasontredecim (Mon 10th Jun 2019 7:43pm)
  • That's fucking shite news. :( by jasontredecim (Tue 18th Jun 2019 6:27pm)
  • East Kilbride? I thought he was the lad who was on Sauchiehall St? Have I confused him with someone else this entire time? by jasontredecim (Mon 1st Jul 2019 9:09pm)
  • I still find it baffling how many people go to gigs absolutely paralytic. Used to know a guy who would delightedly brag about how he remembered fuck-all of the gig because he was so steaming. What the fuck is the point? by jasontredecim (Sat 13th Jul 2019 7:55am)
  • Papping off the Picturehouse to fucking Wetherspoons was a disgrace. The city definitely needed another Wetherspoons instead of a nice venue, eh? by jasontredecim (Sat 13th Jul 2019 8:00am)
  • If this happened in the USA, there'd be three or four cult classic movies about it already. Finger oot, Scottish movie industry!!! by jasontredecim (Sun 11th Aug 2019 3:19pm)
  • Banks are closing down their high street branches left, right and centre, taking lots of cash machines with them, so the money hungry cunts are seeing a potential captive audience and rubbing their hands in glee. by jasontredecim (Thu 19th Sep 2019 5:29pm)

  • I really miss that place. Was one of my favourite spots for a meal out with friends, as you got to have a good laugh talking people into trying the weirder stuff, or seeing them fuck-up their sauces and burn the mouth off themselves. Changed to some generic pizza & burger place, didn't it? by jasontredecim (Sat 11th Apr 2020 11:13am)
  • If that's from your first time ever using it, you're some sort of savant! by jasontredecim (Sun 12th Apr 2020 9:30am)
  • Great photo, but I definitely prefer the unedited one. The change of tone to the road makes it look more like America in the OP. :) by jasontredecim (Sat 18th Apr 2020 5:16pm)
  • I don't know if you know the game "Cities: Skylines" at all? One of the mods I downloaded was to make the tarmac darker to feel more authentically American for my city. Je suis geeky bastard! by jasontredecim (Sat 18th Apr 2020 6:59pm)
  • Well if ever there was a time to get into something that means you don't leave the house for ages... ;) by jasontredecim (Sat 18th Apr 2020 7:15pm)

  • I think you might be confusing him with Mohammed Abdul Salim, mate. He was the one famous for playing with no boots for Celtic - I think in the mid-30s. by jasontredecim (Tue 20th Oct 2020 8:24am)
  • Well done to the people of Pollokshields. I used to live there and it was a great wee community. Fuck the Home Office for doing this, especially on today of all days. by jasontredecim (Thu 13th May 2021 3:26pm)
  • It was the day the MSPs were being sworn in, and so they were distracted and unable to respond quickly. In the constituency of the First Minister, too. by jasontredecim (Fri 14th May 2021 5:49pm)

  • Was it Hermes? It sounds like Hermes. I once had a parcel not delivered because they "could not access the building" and so the next day, for the rescheduled redelivery, I literally went and sat at the front door with a book and, lo and behold, at around midway through the delivery window, it flipped from "out for delivery" to "could not access the building" without anyone having come near. It was a quiet(ish) street, no roadworks or anything preventing access either. The parcel was then "being returned" to the seller and, of course, never ever arrived back either. Eventually got a replacement issued (and paid more to have it delivered by someone else), but it was typical of my Hermes experience. I actively avoid sellers I know use them, even if it costs me a bit more to buy from someone else. The biggest problem with couriers is there's zero regulation, and so they're basically able to just shrug their shoulders. You can't complain - the best you'll get is a "sorry" and nothing actually done. It's a first world problem, I know, but it's frustrating as fuck dealing with them unless you get a good one. I wish companies all gave the chance to say "I'd like to pay slightly more to choose my delivery option" - I'd take that every time if Hermes were mentioned. by jasontredecim (Sat 19th Jun 2021 2:11pm)
