  • Before booking the appointment, try make a list of things you need to discuss with them as it might make it earlier to rememeber. When calling, if the reception ask why you need an appointment just say you only want to discuss it with the doctor. by laurateen (Wed 20th Mar 2019 12:22am)

  • Get your doctor who prescribed/diagnosed you to get in contact with your GP in Glasgow. Hopefully they'll be able to sort something. Edit: Might be worth calling your doctor in Glasgow beforehand as they'll probably be used to it. There should be things in place :) by laurateen (Tue 10th May 2022 11:32am)

  • It'd be good to have a section with positive news. Too often we're swarmed with negative news and it can become overwhelming without something going right. Less bias news articles and more informative. Information on climate, local areas and community news and more information on Glasgow events to get people involved. by laurateen (Fri 8th Jul 2022 8:08am)

  • Its a thing some renting agencies have been doing since covid and because of the demand on flats. It makes me too paranoid and feels stupid to put money down on a flat that I’ve not even seen so I don’t but I’ve seen a lot of agencies do this recently. Just keep an eye out and make sure theyre legit and its something you want todo by laurateen (Wed 10th May 2023 6:29pm)
  • What level was your music exam? Nat 5 as well? I only had Nat 5 Art, Drama and English and it hasn’t been an issue at all for employment. I went to college to do a HNC which has now gotten me into my nursing uni course. You could still also go to college as well if you’re worried about your qualifications or want a specific job. There are also plenty of jobs that you don’t need any experience or qualifications for so really don’t worry. I liked hospitality working the most, you meet loads of people, work in different departments, it can be front or back of house… Tip for when you’re applying for jobs is make sure you fill out a wee cover letter just to bulk yourself up a wee bit since you don’t have experience. Basically bullshit like you could put you enjoy meeting new people and you’re approachable. You can even include that you don’t have experience but you’re excited to learn and all that jazz. Really don’t worry too much though, theres loads of options and you have loads of time to figure it all out :) by laurateen (Thu 25th May 2023 3:26pm)
  • Not Glasgow but Paisley- Sophie Graham’s hair is good and maybe 5 mins walk from Paisley Canal station or a 10/15 min walk from Paisley Gilmore station (both trains leave from Glasgow Central). They deal with loads of mullets, shag cuts or whatever and lots of coloured hair. The team is lovely but it can be a tiny bit pricey. @sophiegraham_hair is their IG but they have a website and that too by laurateen (Thu 25th May 2023 3:30pm)

  • Roughly £2000 a month but we are terrible at budgeting and with over spending. Monthly we pay Rent £580, Council tax £100, Gas and Electric (PAYG) £100, Wifi £30 which totals £810 per month on the house essentials and then extra for cars, savings and everything else. Hope that helps :)) by laurateen (Fri 25th Aug 2023 1:55pm)
