So it's in k rather than a pc of the HR?

South side mainly as it seems the best space:price ratio, offered 10pc over HR on one and it went for 25pc over...mental

Thanks! Have been to a few french cafe type classes for conversational French and really enjoyed them. Wondered if anyone knew of anything similar

Is it naive to think that if we cleaned up the littering would stop (genuine question)

I don't think it is ""our"" duty to clean up after people who litter or to do the council's job for them, but I'm also so fed up of litter making Glasgow look shite

What about lobbying MPs/Nicola? Does this do anything? It's not something I've done before but something I'd try

Can't give any helpful advice on most points there, but can recommend the south side as being somewhere friendly and economical to live. Hope you find what you're looking for - Glasgow is awesome.

That's class. I've heard stories of people finding their bikes and then just making off with them from the thief when they take them for a "test drive". Sounds ideal

I don't mean soundproofing to the point of being silent, but just a damper on sound. There seems to be a few companies who do it in Glasgow. Of course there's a responsibility to be a good neighbour, but some noise is unavoidable to make between flats and if a little bit of soundproofing would help, I'd be interested to find out more/other people's experiences

>I had a slightly different situation. Was a four in a block and had a noisy downstairs neighbour. Insulated my floor with insulation boards, thick underlay and carpet. However I found that a lot of the sound was actually transferred through the walls. so although the floor helped, it didn't reduce it to a level I could cope with. that's really interesting thanks
