  • They can play them, they often choose not to. I seen hobbit one in HFR in cineworld Renfrew St, then they stopped doing it for parts deux and trez. The last time I seen a cinema actually show and advertise an hfr showing was the cinematic bobbintry of gemini man. As I said, I've contacted cineworld and all they say is 'keep a look out for news of HFR showings' which is shite, because even though they can, they won't in case it puts people off cos it can be jarring. Being as Pandora is an alien environment I think this jarring effect may be minimised and as I have been lead to believe they vary the frame rate depending what happens in the film now, but I cant find anywhere to find out. by liquidspanner (Thu 29th Sep 2022 3:55pm)
