  • Have a look on the Dalmarnock Side of Glasgow, theres a train station that connects with the west end only a few minues walk from most streets. 3 bedroom flats go for 700 pcm so its definitely not an expensive area! Just avoid the tenaments in this area and look for the newer builds like the ones in dalmarnock drive (I believe theres one on rightmove for rent there). by meganc1731 (Wed 8th Sep 2021 9:26pm)
  • I've fostered for the Underheugh Ark Rescue (you can find them on Facebook). They really take the time to pair you with the right dog for you, always have loads of dogs and other animals and are a small rescue. Highly recommended! by meganc1731 (Tue 14th Dec 2021 9:02pm)
  • I used The PRG Partnership (Donald) to process my home buying last summer. It was a similarly priced property and if I recall I paid around £1k. They were really good and clear and came as a recommendation from a friend to me. Donalds office is hilariously a tip though - the man loves real paperwork and how he organises things is beyond me! But he's good at his job! by meganc1731 (Wed 16th Feb 2022 10:39pm)
  • I had a pixie cut for 10 years maintained by the same hairdresser, followed her between hairdressers. She now works amethyst salon attached to Glasgow college - ask for Danielle. Bonus being it's quite cheap because it's the college, but she is a fully qualified hairdresser and has been for over a decade! by meganc1731 (Thu 10th Mar 2022 10:32pm)
  • I got a mortgage with NatWest on a PhD stipend. It was 4x salary so I needed a good deposit. Also had 3 years left on contract at the point. by meganc1731 (Tue 19th Apr 2022 7:02pm)
  • PhD students had been permitted to use the staff car parks over lockdown until last week by meganc1731 (Tue 9th Aug 2022 8:15am)
  • Unfortunately not, I work with time-sensitive samples that require me to drive to collect them at very short notice. So I need the car nearby. by meganc1731 (Tue 9th Aug 2022 10:12am)
