  • Don't know if this is a daft question, I'm a teenager looking to get into the industry/starting an EEE degree this year coming, would I be welcome at these events just to sit and learn or is it aimed at already professionals? I know it says all welcome, just not sure if this includes studenty types. Cheers! by notlibbie (Wed 15th Jun 2022 8:16pm)

  • For coffee, The ottoman coffeehouse is great and is opened to about 7 i think? Theres pink peacock too, on vicky road, until about 10, which of course might not be to everyones political taste, but is there should you wish. by notlibbie (Thu 16th Jun 2022 7:33pm)
  • I'm not sure about food banks, but have upvoted so hopefully someone else can recommend. Idk about situation on thursday nights/friday (Jewish owned so differing opening hours), but there is a very left-wing cafe on vicky road which have a free outdoor fridge should you need. It's also pay what you can down to £0, so you can maybe get a nice meal from there soon even when skint. by notlibbie (Thu 16th Jun 2022 7:38pm)
  • Just realised I didn't say, Is called the pink peacock (Impossible to miss if you're going past, whole shopfront is painted bright pink) by notlibbie (Thu 16th Jun 2022 7:40pm)
  • >Their meals are vegan and the babka is delicious. I wouldn't say as good as my granny's but it's almost there. savta's babka will always win, no cafe will ever come close. that's just fact tbh. by notlibbie (Thu 16th Jun 2022 11:03pm)
  • >Just read my mind, was going to ask the same. Will just be can second this, was right up the front and no problems at all. only issue was the long exits getting out through the park, was some mud there but nothing mad, just dont wear white shoes by notlibbie (Thu 30th Jun 2022 11:23pm)
  • Primal scream are playing at Queens park tonight and tomorrow. Reckon you could probably find tickets but you'd probably be left skint. I'm planning on a (somewhat rainy) picnic in the park listening in to it by notlibbie (Fri 1st Jul 2022 3:57pm)
  • >Ottoman coffeehouse ! Can second this! They do great food too, if you find yourself working a long day and wanting to buy a meal. by notlibbie (Mon 4th Jul 2022 3:12pm)
