  • So pretty much the entire smartphone install base then? Well that's not happening when you factor in apathy and people avoiding handing data to whatever Cambridge Analytica call themselves these days. by notthattypeofplayer (Tue 5th May 2020 4:16pm)
  • Not exactly what you're after but as a bit of an outsider when I first heard the name "Castlemilk", I thought that sounded quite quaint, but my god it isn't... Just outside Glasgow but Blantyre seems like the kind of Gaelic Village with an ancient stone (maybe it's just the David Livingstone associations) but it again does not have that reputation. At all. by notthattypeofplayer (Fri 8th May 2020 7:36pm)
  • Gonna rep for Basta in Partick. Unfortunately not doing pick up since lockdown was formally announced but they are brilliant. by notthattypeofplayer (Fri 15th May 2020 11:41pm)
  • I recommend the Green Chili Cafe which is apparently the same owners but so much better! by notthattypeofplayer (Wed 18th Nov 2020 7:18pm)
  • Yep I love in Partick and it's a fucking shambles. Live in a 6 flat tenement (lowest floor is a shop), we used to have 3 bins between us, which barely covered everyone, now they've taken one away and it's two. Everyone's just dumping recycling in the green bins now. GCC are just shocking. I've lived in various parts of the UK and I've never seen service this bad, especially for the eyewatering council tax I pay. by notthattypeofplayer (Tue 12th Jan 2021 2:21pm)
  • Definitely will take this into account, thank you! by notthattypeofplayer (Thu 9th Sep 2021 12:24pm)
  • Thanks, have DMed you! by notthattypeofplayer (Thu 9th Sep 2021 12:32pm)
  • There's a place called Mosob just before Best Kebab on Dundas Street. I think it's Eritrean. Opened a few months ago and a proper hidden gem. https://www.instagram.com/mosobglasgow/ by notthattypeofplayer (Wed 8th Jun 2022 6:48pm)
  • Yeah they operate from the drop off bays. Can surge to crazy prices sometimes though and often the airport taxis are the cheaper and quicker option. by notthattypeofplayer (Sun 4th Sep 2022 2:01pm)
  • iMart on Crow Road Partick as people have suggested. There's also a few at the bottom of Byres Road whose names I have forgotten. by notthattypeofplayer (Sun 4th Sep 2022 2:05pm)
  • I dunno if this works, but I only found out the other day I literally live five minutes away from where the first international football match was played. West of Scotland Cricket Club btw. by notthattypeofplayer (Tue 22nd Nov 2022 9:33pm)
  • I don't use the word 'hero' lightly, but you sir are a hero. This worked beautifully. by notthattypeofplayer (Wed 4th Jan 2023 2:31pm)
  • Having been someone who only started regularly driving 4 months ago and still walks and uses public transport quite a bit, the three main roads near me are Crow Road (Partick end), Dumbarton Road and Broomhill Drive and I wouldn't have an issue with any of them being 20 to be honest. Given how many people randomly cross those roads at any point (apart from Dumbarton Road there's not enough places to cross safely anyway) I end up more or less ending up going at 20 on those roads by default anyway. by notthattypeofplayer (Sat 28th Jan 2023 9:48pm)
  • I think you'll probably be okay. Sat in a similar layout at the Superscreen in Renfrew St and was fine with it as someone that's 5'8, my 5'2 partner, not so much. by notthattypeofplayer (Fri 28th Jul 2023 11:49am)
  • The amount of times I've driven into work in the morning on that road - have the gantry's tell me that speed kills, not to go to fast in the rain or that it's cold and then not know about the M74 itself closing when I'm driving home that night is actually infuriating. I'd rather know about what's going to be affecting that day rather than information for idiots that ignore their theory test. by notthattypeofplayer (Thu 2nd Nov 2023 11:30am)
