  • Was once my Xbox gamer tag as part of a clan of odd descriptors to serious job roles, others included StonedNun by nuclearvicar (Tue 17th Nov 2020 2:49pm)
  • That’s great - thankyou by nuclearvicar (Tue 24th Nov 2020 10:24pm)
  • Might not be the exact same but shoreditch has a great selection of kebab shops especially for after blues kitchen/ old street records by nuclearvicar (Sat 2nd Jan 2021 10:09am)
  • I walked across it today and it started cracking a bit, were a few young lads trying to break the surface. QP seems the safer place despite the coppers yelling for people to get off by nuclearvicar (Tue 5th Jan 2021 10:39pm)
  • No no it’s good advice, I was planning on shallow water and well prepared with the gear by nuclearvicar (Tue 12th Jan 2021 8:11pm)
  • This is not true. It’s illegal to consume the alcohol outside but still legal to sell it from a kiosk at the bars doorway by nuclearvicar (Wed 27th Jan 2021 11:40am)
  • This is exactly why I’m asking. Reddit is a great research tool and is allowing me now to indulge and hope local businesses out by buying a pint (not 10) by nuclearvicar (Wed 27th Jan 2021 4:14pm)
  • Not desperate, just querying with people from Reddit/ glasgow as I’ve found the majority of people here are nice and not judgemental and would be willing to promote local businesses. Few exceptions to the ‘people make glasgow’ saying I can see by nuclearvicar (Wed 27th Jan 2021 4:16pm)
  • Thankyou. It’s not an issue though and I’m comfortable with my own self to understand that. As I said, I want to support businesses that have been struck hard by the government during the pandemic as opposed to supermarkets that have thrived. The same goes to virtual music concerts and art (previously posted about this) and I felt Reddit was the best tool to crowd source ideas and suggestions. by nuclearvicar (Wed 27th Jan 2021 4:53pm)
  • Only been to loks out of the places mentioned and you just go to the bar and order same as you would at a food takeaway. Think some places mentioned like phillies or west you can preorder from their website/ Instagram/ fb and collect at a specific time. My advice would be just to check out their fb or Instagram by nuclearvicar (Wed 27th Jan 2021 5:40pm)
  • Press release may have been for England? They have banned takeaway alcohol by nuclearvicar (Wed 27th Jan 2021 6:03pm)
  • I live in kinning park - very just average nothing bad and nothing good, feel safe here and close to the city/ south side/ west end/ Clyde so ideal location but lacking in a bit of commercial development (handful of cheap takeaways and a tesco but no coffee shops or independent retailers) I would recommend Queen’s Park area such as shawlands, strathbungo, pollokshields but NOT govanhill. Lots of bars, shops, greengrocers, restaurants here and very nice old fashioned tenement buildings along with new developments depends what you’re after. £550 - 650 for a one bed flat by nuclearvicar (Thu 28th Jan 2021 8:25am)
  • They get round this by sticking lids on top of the pint glasses by nuclearvicar (Sun 31st Jan 2021 11:34am)

  • You can schedule an order of £30 of random items to get your delivery slot and then can change the items up until the day before to suit what you actually need. Allows you to get the slot but not be food prepping weeks in advance by nuclearvicar (Wed 4th Aug 2021 7:46am)
  • I’m at strath currently and they’re still forcing everybody to work from home if they can. I have practical labs so go in everyday but other students have to work from home. I can’t really see that changing within the next couple of months, I think there is talk of staggered return for staff but if you don’t mind working from home I reckon you could ask your tutors to recover and work from home for the first 2 months. by nuclearvicar (Wed 4th Aug 2021 7:55am)
  • I’d start first with your direct supervisor/ line manager and go from there by nuclearvicar (Wed 4th Aug 2021 11:14am)

  • There’s a cycle path at the side of the a77 that starts around Newton mearns (just follow pollokshaws/ Kilmarnock road) There’s also ncr7 (mentioned by somebody else) but if you go the other way it leads to balloch by nuclearvicar (Wed 18th Aug 2021 11:40pm)
  • I think this is the ncr7? by nuclearvicar (Wed 18th Aug 2021 11:45pm)
  • You can combine the ncr7 to Irvine (35 miles not the 50 u/glasgowlad1 said) and then back along the a77 (28 miles). The a77 route is also the ayr road someone else mentioned by nuclearvicar (Thu 19th Aug 2021 9:09am)
