  • "Weddings by Bart Photography" did ours - fantastic, super chilled and talented guy. Worth every penny. by obtusemoosekaboose (Wed 9th Jan 2019 1:31am)
  • We've got an old leaky/rusty radiator that we'll be replacing soon. Not sure how much we'd get for scrap but if all goes well and the new one works/fits on the wall and you can make it to Paisley, the old one's yours for a tube of bacon or paprika pringles. I'm pretty easily pleased. by obtusemoosekaboose (Sat 2nd Feb 2019 2:35am)
  • I've lived in the glenburn area of paisley for the last 5 years (and closer to town for 4 before that) and honestly, it's not as terrible as people think. Sure, there are rough areas like anywhere, but a few minutes' drive away from the town centre and you're away from the worst. Our 3 bed semi cost 68k and we put about 10k into making it beautiful as it was a bit of a shell - we're right next to the braes and when the weather is good you can see right to Ben lomond from the front window. We've got some lovely neighbours, most people aren't total a-holes (with the exception of the occasional one or two) and I've never felt unsafe. (30 y/o female) Good luck finding somewhere! by obtusemoosekaboose (Sun 7th Apr 2019 2:38am)
  • The future might feel like a scary thing, internet person - but don't worry! Whether it's the future of the planet, or how you're going to get through the next 24 hours - little acheivable goals will get you (and the rest of us) through. What's your next move to stay as safe and well as you can? You are worthy of love, capable of surviving, and stronger than you think. There are people that care about you and if you need help, reach out to someone. It doesn't matter if it's a friend/family member or a person on the end of a phone line. Hope you're ok, fellow weegie redditor. by obtusemoosekaboose (Fri 10th May 2019 2:30am)
  • Thanks! If the weather holds I'm up for the walk, but it's good to know there's another option. by obtusemoosekaboose (Fri 30th Oct 2020 12:10pm)
  • Fantastic, cheers! It's more I've got no idea what to expect, and I get pretty claustrophobic on a good day. Thanks again! by obtusemoosekaboose (Fri 30th Oct 2020 12:37pm)
  • Thanks everyone! I ended up walking since the weather was good - it's good to know for next time though! by obtusemoosekaboose (Fri 30th Oct 2020 4:37pm)
  • Firstly, congratulations on your mini human! I've got a 4 month old niece down south that I've not met yet, and a friend whose 9 month old hasn't met her family. It's been so hard on them so I can't imagine how you're feeling with your dad not being well too. Secondly, you're doing the best you can in a horrible situation, and I'm proud of you. This won't last forever, and I hope that you and your family will get to be together soon. Hang in there. by obtusemoosekaboose (Sun 7th Mar 2021 11:13pm)
