  • This is worth a shot. Arsehole neighbours moved in to the tenement next door and the noise was unbearable, found ourselves sleeping on an inflatable bed in the living room some nights just to get some sleep before work the next morning. Found the landlords details and started emailing every time the noise was keeping us up (most nights at 3am etc). Eventually got an apology from them and they moved out. Not a grass but don't mess with my sleep. by peanutmoon (Sat 6th Mar 2021 12:43pm)

  • Mostly interested in landscape / nature, keen to understand how to get decent portrait pics too. The aim is really just to get a bit more familiar with what settings to use in different scenarios. Was hoping I could find a local group so I could get some pointers on what's going right or wrong. Tbh I probs just need to spend a bit more time looking for something like that! by peanutmoon (Sat 18th Sep 2021 9:20pm)

  • I suppose I just want to get more comfortable with the functionality. I've got a basic understanding of aperture, iso, shutter speed etc but can't help finding myself going back to the guide mode rather than actually thinking about how to set up the camera properly for a pic. Felt a class might give me feedback that would help build up the confidence. Thanks for the suggestions and offer, might give you a shout. by peanutmoon (Sat 18th Sep 2021 9:35pm)
  • That doesn't make me feel so bad for using the guide modes then. It's sounding to me like I just need to get out there with the camera and practice more! It's annoying when I feel I can get a better pic on my phone cause I cba working out the right settings on the dslr. by peanutmoon (Sun 19th Sep 2021 12:28pm)
