  • Would you consider south side the best option in Glasgow when it comes to cleanliness, city life, restaurants + cafes, bars, shopping, things to do, etc? I’m from South Philly here in the US so I’m just looking for something similar and comfortable if that makes any sense. Comfortable, has it’s advantages and isn’t too expensive. by realkca (Mon 4th May 2020 10:07am)
  • True point. I was half asleep when I originally made this post so I apologize for that. I’m looking to either rent or own my own apartment, flat, whatever you guys call it to begin with. If I can stay with my bud in EK until I have a job and enough money for that, awesome, if not I planned to stay at a hotel until then if possible. by realkca (Mon 4th May 2020 12:00pm)
  • Thank you. I really appreciate you and everyone else who have left replies. It may sound crazy to you all but since I was little I’ve always wanted to move out of the US. America is great...but it’s also not so great. I’m 22, not getting any younger, and the last two years have been really terrible for me, mentally and physically. I feel like a fresh start is much needed, I want to meet new people and start a family outside of America, you know? It wasn’t until recently when I started talking to my buddy in EK about how I want to get serious about moving that he told me about how he loves living in Glasgow/Scotland compared to the UK and he explained how much better it was and I was like wow...yeah, I really need this. The toughest part will be waiting for a passport and visa and I’m sure I need permits to work and live there, unless I am wrong, but these next upcoming weeks I’m going to do a lot of research so I am prepared. by realkca (Mon 4th May 2020 1:31pm)
  • That does sound pretty tough. So he can only stay for six months, or am I reading this wrong? Regardless, either way, do you think the attempt to come and live over there would be worth it? Why does the country make it so hard? by realkca (Mon 4th May 2020 4:43pm)
