  • Same here, I've only been here during the pandemic and pre-vax I was too vulnerable to catch the buses - now I'm just confused trying to figure out to buy tickets for each different bus company. by resolutecat (Mon 3rd May 2021 9:07pm)
  • This is a great post, thank you! I’d like to add my own personal experience - I see a lot of “the vulnerable have already been vaccinated” on Twitter etc which just isn’t true. I’m clinically vulnerable, but under 40 and my initial appointment was right after the rules changed so I got pushed back nearly a month, and I know of a few other young but very immunocompromised people who had the same problem, especially if our GP offices cater to lots of elderly people as that pushes us lower down their lists. We won’t be fully vaccinated until somewhere around July :( by resolutecat (Mon 17th May 2021 10:03pm)
  • I'm gonna give it a try tomorrow (at risk, got my first jag 5 weeks ago) and I'll report back. by resolutecat (Sun 23rd May 2021 10:58pm)
  • I'm going to do this tomorrow - just worried it won't get back to them fast enough as they're getting the appointments out so fast! by resolutecat (Wed 26th May 2021 5:53pm)
  • I am already! Just wanting to check if anyone knows a good phone number or something if it doesn't get back quick enough :) by resolutecat (Wed 26th May 2021 5:54pm)
  • Hi all! Was wondering if anyone has had any trouble getting ubers lately? I'm pretty new to Glasgow and have to get to some medical appointments that aren't easy to get to with public transport, but the last few times I've tried to get an uber there's been none around, don't know if the issue is me or them. Also would appreciate any alternate recommendations if there's any! I've looked at some of the taxi apps but they all have awful reviews so hard to tell if they'd be any help or not. by resolutecat (Mon 28th Jun 2021 12:02pm)
  • Thank you! :) by resolutecat (Mon 28th Jun 2021 12:54pm)
  • Thanks a tonne! Downloading them now too :) by resolutecat (Mon 28th Jun 2021 6:23pm)
  • Once it's been 2 weeks since my jab I'd love to go out for a drink! I'm 27, just moved to Glasgow and haven't had the chance to make anyone friends yet :) by resolutecat (Sat 3rd Jul 2021 5:53pm)
  • I'm also a newcomer to Glasgow but live right by where you're walking - if you're at all anxious I'm happy to do the walk with you when I'm home, or you can message me while you do the walk so if anything happens I can come meet you if that helps! My anxiety is the same at night, so tough when you're somewhere new and have no idea where's safe or not :( On the up side the area's pretty well lit and I've found there's usually a decent amount of foot traffic up until the Co Op is closed. by resolutecat (Sun 11th Jul 2021 11:51pm)
  • Hey, I'm 27f too, once cases are slightly calmer I'd love to meet for a coffee! I moved here in December and haven't had the chance to make any friends yet 😭 by resolutecat (Mon 19th Jul 2021 8:09pm)
  • Yeah I got a letter/text since I'm in a vulnerable group and just went on the date I was given, turns out it was a week early and I got turned away after waiting in line for an hour. The nurses I got were really kind about it, but super frustrating rule given I'd assumed the date they gave me was correct. by resolutecat (Wed 1st Dec 2021 1:13pm)
  • Call 0800 030 8013! That was the number I was given when they turned me away for being too early and they rescheduled me pretty quick. by resolutecat (Wed 1st Dec 2021 8:04pm)
  • I'm glad you got yours at least! It's so confusing, seems like it must just be down to where you go or who you get, haha by resolutecat (Wed 1st Dec 2021 8:05pm)
  • Glad I could help! by resolutecat (Fri 3rd Dec 2021 5:01pm)
