Interests:

  • Open rent is a great website for both landlords and tenants but the landlord shouldn't be requesting direct to you. Once you follow the openrent process you should send the deposit to openrent who put it in a DPS (deposit protection scheme) who hold the monies untill you leave the tenancy. Any disputes at the end is via this 3rd party. Better for the tenant so some landlords just ask for it directly instead. Wouldnt say anything dodgey is happening just more protection for the landlord. I've used it on both sides of the fences and openrent is 100% by robertsonxxssxx (Sun 23rd Aug 2020 6:19pm)
