  • They tried to tell me my cam chain needed replaced on my car that had done only ~30,000 miles and quoted an extortionate amount. Needless to say, I took the car elsewhere and the cam chain was absolutely fine. by slothcheese (Thu 13th Aug 2020 9:51am)
  • I also love The Glasgow Vintage Company on Great Western Road. Not been there in a while but it's always been very affordable. All knitwear £10, Levis for about £15, snazzy jackets etc. Mack and Rose is in the city centre and is also amazing. Does lots of bespoke embroidered and repurposed pieces too. They have an online shop or you can pop into the studio for a good rummage. by slothcheese (Sun 11th Jul 2021 4:13pm)
  • Oh no, that's a shame, I really liked Mamafabu :( by slothcheese (Mon 12th Jul 2021 9:02am)
  • I have Googled it but there are an overwhelming number of tattoo shops/artists in Glasgow, hence I thought I'd ask in here, especially as I have something specific in mind. :) by slothcheese (Mon 18th Jul 2022 7:33am)
  • Nothing seems to come up when I Google this, are you sure the spelling is correct? :) by slothcheese (Mon 18th Jul 2022 8:18am)
  • When I was a student (2011-2015) we paid £1 for a pint of Tennents in our uni union. Those were the days! by slothcheese (Fri 28th Jul 2023 5:40pm)
  • Yep, that's why I'm a bit confused as the GGC website says no time limit but it came with the parking disc. I even had a look on a Pay & Display machine to see if it said but it didn't. by slothcheese (Fri 28th Jul 2023 7:47pm)
  • Yes! I remember 75p drinks too in Driftwood and Club 520 by slothcheese (Sat 29th Jul 2023 8:48am)
  • I remember getting 75p drinks in Club 520 and Driftwood. We would order 'double doubles' for a £3. by slothcheese (Sat 29th Jul 2023 8:46am)
  • Good to know, thanks! by slothcheese (Sat 29th Jul 2023 8:45am)

  • I also second Freak Boutique. :) by slothcheese (Sun 20th Aug 2023 9:13am)
  • Suissi in Partick does a tasty laksa (amongst other noodle based soups) if you aren't opposed to vegan food. :) I love ramen, laksa, pho etc but agree it's hard to find a really good quality one in Glasgow. by slothcheese (Fri 15th Sep 2023 9:19am)
  • Under-hyped - Sylvan, Dennistoun BBQ (best veggie burger I've ever had), Dumpling Monkey (not been there for years but it was one of my fave places to eat as a student. So cheap!) Over-hyped - Elia (very average Greek food, only one vegetarian main meal option when I was last in), Ramen Dayo (not nearly as tasty as I remember when it first opened). by slothcheese (Fri 15th Sep 2023 9:35am)
