  • This gives me some hope! The issue is i have no experience other than personal/education/ and 1 in a previous job which wasnt an IT role. I have a honours in network engineering and it just seems impossible for me to even get into a basic field such as help desk. Any tips? Cv/interview? by sufy1212 (Thu 5th Nov 2020 3:34pm)
  • Sadly i havent even gotten to an interview stage yet but if i ever do get one ill definitely mention it and my skills during the interview. I have not mentioned them in my CV where should personal experience be under? Its own section heading or employment? I do not have a github no. Yes ofcourse by basic i just meant entry level, im very eager to have a help desk job, i know itll benefit me a lot and provide me with excellent skills, knowledge, understanding and patience. So id be more than happy in help desk, by sufy1212 (Thu 5th Nov 2020 4:33pm)
  • Love to hear that! by sufy1212 (Fri 6th Nov 2020 5:46pm)
  • Thanks ill add personal experience into a subsection under employment? Or on its own? I have the passion and skills for IT related stuff and im a fast learner so I just want a job fast so i can build up the experience. I agree most employers dont want people who are just graduated with no experience, which sucks because how else are we supposed to gain experience without employment lol. I have a lot of experience within customer service but no i haven't written that part in my CV, but i will now under the personal experience section. Can you suggest how long it should be? Paragraphs or most important bullet points? Yes thats exactly what iv'e started doing, iv'e done 1 for customer service/Administration and one for IT/Networking. Ive kept all customer service experience in both CV's, Im not really sure what to change or add in the IT one other than personal experience? Maybe alter skills? What else could I i tailor for IT/Networking? Thanks ive never heard of that but will check it out right now! Thanks for help much appreciated! by sufy1212 (Fri 6th Nov 2020 5:46pm)
