  • Having lived in both places and coming from a long line of Glaswegians, you’re dead on. OP can get te fuck, we pride ourself in our distinct character! After all, “people make Glasgow” ;) by tiredofbeingyelledat (Sun 8th Aug 2021 8:08pm)
  • 100%. Doon the backroads with cider starting at 12 and up. Pure childhood nostalgia. I genuinely never was bothered by the needles or broken glass I just enjoyed the wee park behind my Grans with oblivious acceptance. by tiredofbeingyelledat (Sun 8th Aug 2021 8:11pm)

  • You do get used to it though! I lived in San Francisco for a few years and spent a lot of time in “the TL” as it’s nicknamed because my best mate lived right in the heart of it (sandwiched right in between a halfway house & the great American music hall). She never had a single incident other than oddness and I pure enjoyed myself every time I stayed over lol. My Mum is an Easterhouse OG and even she thought the TL was sketch though by tiredofbeingyelledat (Tue 10th Aug 2021 6:32pm)
  • I’m too far to go in person but I watch Glasgow Prophetic Center online. They are on the Pentecostal side of the spectrum so it may not be the best fit for you but I love them! You can check it out online before going in person but I suggest just going in person because a huge part of church to me is the community. I live in the US now and have found a home church I really enjoy. by tiredofbeingyelledat (Tue 31st Jan 2023 4:49pm)
