  • Because my clinical psychologist had referred me to the psychiatry team in Glasgow based on my mental health and the fact I was diagnosed over a phone call by a psychiatrist who has never met me and only spoken to me once. The psychiatrist had assessed me on the phone, diagnosed me, and then said you need to wait six months. Therefore I am looking for a psychiatrist who can assess me as a psychologist can't. by tokiahonta (Tue 11th Jan 2022 1:39pm)
  • Are they expensive? Some places are looking for around £500-£1000 just for an initial assessment. Nearly fell off my seat when I seen the prices lol! by tokiahonta (Tue 11th Jan 2022 1:42pm)
  • Thanks, looking up Bupa now by tokiahonta (Tue 11th Jan 2022 1:44pm)
  • I did look at them, I need a proper diagnosis first before I know what therapy I need. by tokiahonta (Tue 11th Jan 2022 2:36pm)
  • I have been told I need a psychiatrist and I’m only going on the recommendations that’s been given to me by a psychiatrist. Yet I am no closer to help, I’ve been dealing with mental health since I was 12 and I am now 25 years old. I attended CAMHS and not had the appropriate support in place since I turned 18, it’s been a long and hellish battle. by tokiahonta (Tue 11th Jan 2022 3:22pm)
  • I’ve explored this, I’m registered with mental health services and disability services based on long term mental health. They are great help but again it’s a short term option that doesn’t help a long term problem by tokiahonta (Tue 11th Jan 2022 4:00pm)
  • I’ve considering moving abroad too many times, a girl can dream lol. I’ll have a look on that website though, thanks! by tokiahonta (Tue 11th Jan 2022 6:42pm)
  • I’m a sessional staff member in the third sector unfortunately by tokiahonta (Tue 11th Jan 2022 6:41pm)
  • Yeah my referral was from the CMHT. I’m just going to keep searching online for the right person at a reasonable cost. by tokiahonta (Tue 11th Jan 2022 6:41pm)
  • Yeah I think at this rate I’m just gonna send my boyfriend down. Only issue is he lost his passport so he needed a new one and renewal anyways so don’t know what he should take down by tokiahonta (Thu 19th May 2022 9:59pm)
  • He’s done all this and you can’t get an appointment by tokiahonta (Fri 20th May 2022 12:48am)
  • My boyfriend has applied as normal with no success and we leave in 11 days. He applied in March for a renewal by tokiahonta (Fri 20th May 2022 12:48am)

  • Also haven’t a clue but I’m fed up now.. no one seems to get in the right lane and always heavy chancers bombing up the left lane to be cheeky to get in. I just try my best to avoid it now when I can by tokiahonta (Fri 5th Aug 2022 9:57am)
  • I agree by tokiahonta (Fri 5th Aug 2022 9:56am)
  • Loved in Glasgow all my life and have actively avoided the four corners. If I need to go past I’ll find the longer route, too many absolute rockets of young people who want to fight randomers and chew their jaw at all times of the day by tokiahonta (Fri 5th Aug 2022 9:55am)
  • What leaving the correct lane that’s busy to skip ahead when everyone else has been waiting -.-? by tokiahonta (Fri 5th Aug 2022 10:05am)
  • Before the aberfoyle junction, actual full on wideos! Plus if everyone just got in the right lane to begin there wouldn’t be such a hold up cause once your past that wee bit it flows smoothly 😂 by tokiahonta (Fri 5th Aug 2022 10:14am)

  • As a young woman in Glasgow I wouldn’t go out alone. If I was I used to stick to a street like sauchiehall street and go to nice n sleazys and box as a student. But I lived in student accommodation on the same street. Even when I’m out with friends it’s just a rule we do not leave each other, and we certainly do not let each other go home with someone else. We go out together, we come home together. If my friends are out I’d be the first to say I’ll come pick them up as sometimes waiting on a taxi can take hours. If you want a night yourself then stick to a Main Street like sauchiehall street where there is multiple bars and clubs. There is also taxi ranks and food shops open and bouncers outside doors. If you are going out don’t get hammered drunk, stay responsible and stay alert. Don’t leave your drinks, I’ve been spiked multiple times in town in Glasgow. Overall it’s risky but I’ve done it only in the busy areas, sub clubs a bit out the way and many woman become a crime statistic there. Be safe! You could try using apps like bumble etc to meet other girls who are just looking for friends to party with etc. by tokiahonta (Sun 2nd Oct 2022 10:34am)
  • Could head to Dunoon for the day get the train from central to Gourock and pop on the boat over. Some beautiful places to explore in Dunoon and get the bus to all of them as well. You have Ben more botanic gardens, pucks glen, ardentinny beach (might be a bit chilly) bishops glen (could walk to this from boat) also got the castle grounds as you step off the boat. Also you can get the train to Chatelherault Country Park in Hamilton that’s a beautiful walk as well. Train station literally across from it I’m sure. You’ve got Pollock Country Park for a walk as well which is in the city so handy. Could get the bus to lennoxtown and explore the sir John muir way walk? Pretty sure you can get buses here to but don’t know how frequent they are. Could get to balloch via train and walk there but you could get a bus from balloch up to Luss or even look at heading to Balmaha on public transport and could walk Conic Hill. Get the train to Lanark Clyde Valley is a beautiful walk with a lot of rich history as well. Can always head to Edinburgh for the day as well. More natured focus you have the seven wetlands park in the east end of the city, can get a train to Easterhouse and walk down Lochdochart road to the end and then Bishop Loch is there and you can walk to Drumpelliar walk from there, Hogganfield, Auchinlea etc. Thats a good day out! by tokiahonta (Thu 20th Oct 2022 11:05am)
  • Shettleston across from fuse which is a youth group, there’s guys in there. Car wash at front and tyres at the back ☺️ by tokiahonta (Sun 23rd Jul 2023 8:16am)
  • I used to live in Perth and my parents live there, I’m not too bothered about the commute. The job fits my criteria and is a fantastic salary. Just can’t get what I’m looking for in Glasgow sadly by tokiahonta (Tue 29th Aug 2023 11:26am)
  • What time do you leave? by tokiahonta (Tue 29th Aug 2023 11:39am)
  • I’ve really had mixed experiences at the royal. Attending A&E is a nightmare, especially at the weekend through to Monday night. However they are super understaffed and half the royal is riddled with Covid right now. But in terms of appointments I’ve not had any huge issues apart from with orthopaedics where they run one clinic a week for injuries etc. Wait time is ridiculous! by tokiahonta (Wed 20th Sep 2023 12:50am)
  • it’s more the wards than staff, but I have no idea why they don’t wear masks. It’s not mandatory anymore in hospitals and even when you see staff with a mask it’s usually around their chin. I’ve started wearing masks when I have appointments in the royal. I’m going through IVF so in and out a few times for various things and I’ve started wearing masks again in the hospital. I only know wards are bad with Covid cause my aunts a nurse and is currently working a Covid ward again. by tokiahonta (Wed 20th Sep 2023 1:12am)
