Oh god, I am in the same shoes. I quit drinking for almost 2 months but it basically meant my social life got reduced to my work. I felt like no one is actually doing anything that doesn't involve drinking. Also, the most horrible part is that I get triggered by people who I usually meet and drink with because they remind me of having drinks... Which is kind of sad but I know I could change this. To be honest, I really enjoy spending time alone and getting to know myself better now but it's always good to meet nice people. Hey, I am working for Scoop Restaurants (they own Ka Pao and Ox and Finch) and I think it's a great company to work for. Obviously it's not going to be perfect but they always try and improve things that are not looking great and tend to listen to their staff. The owners are nice guys and the team is fuuuun. What I am talking about is that there is a difference between a fast food restaurant serving low quality food and an independent restaurant with a proper menu, good ingredients and drinks to go with them. We should be more appreciated for the job we are doing and the effort we put into every night. I am glad you experienced first hand how is it to have your privacy invaded. Now imagine this happening to you on a daily basis like happens to most women. Ever thought about having iron levels and blood work done and solve this problem from the inside out?
