They pulled the dent out, and resprayed the door for £150 - Dropped it off at 8:30 and it was ready at 4:30. I know they're a chain, but I was pleased with the job. by BlazkoTwix (Mon 3rd Feb 2020 12:04pm)

  • Last I heard is they can’t refuse you. Had mine done last year at 36. Mentioned to the doctor the surgeon that I knew someone who had difficulty getting referred, she was shocked and said that it was frowned upon to have that attitude. They make it clear to you that this is a permanent procedure, and that it will not be reversed under the NHS (you can get it reversed privately of course) by BlazkoTwix (Fri 3rd Jul 2020 1:30pm)

  • Yeh I was expecting it to bin me out after I put in a KA post code. They'll likely remain in their current state, as the road has been like this since at least 2016 by BlazkoTwix (Wed 24th Mar 2021 5:32pm)
  • Aye it’s awful! I’ve resorted to driving on the filter lane, because fuck driving over that! That bit has been bad for years, and gets badly repaired rather than just ripping the section up and laying new tarmac. There’s also a big pothole under the motorway on the lane leading to the on-ramp. Again, it’s been there for years and is either forgotten about it hastily repaired by BlazkoTwix (Wed 24th Mar 2021 7:42pm)
  • The roads here are just awful, there's no excuse. Folk can blame the pandemic, but many of the potholes I encounter on my way in from Ayrshire have been there for at least 2years (some longer). I know it was a cold winter, but the volume of traffic is greatly decreased on what it was pre-pandemic. there's just no excuse for it. My SIL lives in Inverness (Black Isle area) and the roads there are just miles better than what's in Glasgow. Someone else commented that " it’s a bit daft to say that Glasgow is in a worse state than 10/15 years ago " but I'm sorry, it just is. The place is an absolute state. The main foot bridges over the Clyde are absolutely covered in graffiti (Bells Bridge at the SECC in particular). GCC do absolutely no maintenance of any new structures that are flung up, they're just left to fall into disrepair (Tradeston Footbridge for example). Bins are often overflowing. • Good, it's about time something was done with it. It's literally a rusting hulk. Will be good to bring it in to use. Glasgow really needs to do something with it's river. One of the few cities where there is literally fuck all along the river. It's an absolute eyesore in places. The bridges are all in need of renovation works. there are no cafe's or bar's or shops to be seen. by BlazkoTwix (Tue 5th Oct 2021 11:43am)

  • Had the Snip 4 years ago, they ask that you hand in a "sample" within 30 minutes of "production" (their words). Only after 2 clear samples (no active swimmers) will it be deemed a success. Wasn't until the 5th pot was tested that I got the all clear by BlazkoTwix (Tue 4th Jul 2023 11:41am)
