  • Never had too much trouble with him in terms of my old band booking shows with him but i remember when The Rotted played a good few years back and they encouraged everyone to storm the stage and crowd surf during the last tune and Kelvin was absolutely losing his mind. It was hilarious. by BobNThat (Thu 5th Mar 2020 9:21am)
  • I helped my mate out on a bit of roof work for one of those really tall houses on Queen's Crescent (just round the corner from SGC subway). The house was really nice and had a cool little balcony in the very top room. However, from that balcony I noticed that down below me was a junkie couple hovering about the road outside the front door. Had to carry a bunch of slates down the 4 flights of stairs shortly after and when I opened the front door the woman was right outside it, scants down, crouching, and fiddling with something in her hand. She got a bit of a fright and said sorry. I just walked on with the slates and dumped them round the corner and when I came back there were no pish stains so I can only assume she was jagging up. Seems nice other than that but. by BobNThat (Mon 13th Apr 2020 9:56pm)

  • Note the guy in the Rangers top from 2012 to the right of the photo. Unless he's managed to keep it in pretty good condition for 8 years (my one definitely isn't) and still wears it out and about, I'd say this photo has absolutely nothing to do with corona virus. Ironic, coming from u/Dontbethatguy123. by BobNThat (Mon 6th Jul 2020 5:26pm)

  • Used to have a shortlived drivetime slot in Sunny Govan after I did work experience there when I was about 15 or 16, then a rock show slot for a while in my early 20s. They're really good people who see the potential in their community members regardless of background and afforded me many opportunities to further develop my passion for music. Really hope they manage to get through this like they have done with so many other obstacles that have come their way. by BobNThat (Fri 7th May 2021 2:12am)

  • You'd think it's hard to hire binmen but it's really not. There are hundreds of agency workers drafted into the clenny who put in a graft and are kept dangling on a hook (sometimes for a number of years) when they ask about a full time job, the majority of which are indiscriminately let go. Source: Agency worker binman for 1.5 years who is lucky enough to be one of only two agency boys who have avoided the cull of others on shift who started before and after us, but yearns for a contract and a bit of stability and financial security. Edit: you may be right in that the council are fucking around with budgets so much that they have 'hire more binmen' at the bottom of their list, but the bodies are there for the job. by BobNThat (Sun 8th Aug 2021 7:01pm)
  • Depends who ye ask. by BobNThat (Mon 6th Sep 2021 6:55am)
  • Been a binman in the southside for 3½ years now and this is sadly the norm for pretty much everywhere I go. In instances like this, I imagine it's the housing association's responsibility to clear all the excess bulk. But even then, they'll do it and a similar mess magically appears the next day. by BobNThat (Wed 12th Apr 2023 5:27pm)
