  • They probably film to make it appear like there's an impressed crowd so people give money by Cjammc (Thu 28th Apr 2022 1:21pm)
  • When I cycle along that road I always just go on the path next to the park, there's two paths so you won't have pedestrians in the way and they're quite wide, that drives a dumb cunt by Cjammc (Fri 29th Apr 2022 10:24pm)
  • If your uni is Strathclyde then join the Muay Thai club and we can be friends lol by Cjammc (Sat 7th May 2022 10:58pm)
  • There's some old videos of Glasgow's streets on YouTube, can't remember what they were called but they shouldn't be too hard to find by Cjammc (Wed 11th May 2022 10:53pm)
  • Drums are a pretty good instrument for being self taught. I learned by just watching YouTube videos and playing on a cardboard kit I made before eventually upgrading to a real kit. Unless you've got plenty of money so don't mind spending it on a teacher I'd just stick with YouTube by Cjammc (Tue 31st May 2022 12:19pm)
  • Ew by Cjammc (Fri 3rd Jun 2022 10:23am)
  • It's quite nice, I'm about 10 minutes from it. Can also cycle to town from it in about 30 mins if you're into that sort of thing by Cjammc (Sun 5th Jun 2022 10:12pm)
  • Aye they're dreadful, a bit racist too and they just fired a wee woman for being too slow when she's brand new and they didn't even give her any training or show her what to do so I'm raging at them and hope they get fucked. I probably should've refused to go up but if I did they were sending the pensioner I work with up instead so to not look like a prick I went up by Cjammc (Wed 22nd Jun 2022 3:36pm)
  • I'll edit the post and say tomorrow after my last shift. They want me to swap to night shift so I've agreed and I'm planning to just not show up so it screws them over a bit. Will tell one of the more high up people at work about it on the way out tomorrow too by Cjammc (Wed 22nd Jun 2022 4:04pm)
  • Only been there a week and I'm getting the fuck out lol by Cjammc (Wed 22nd Jun 2022 4:05pm)
  • If something happens again I'll try get a video or pictures, not sure how I'll manage but it wouldn't definitely be a lot more effective to show that by Cjammc (Wed 22nd Jun 2022 4:45pm)
  • That would be class but they've been proposing this for atleast a decade so I doubt it'll happen by Cjammc (Fri 24th Jun 2022 2:02pm)
  • Cheers man, we're working on confirming it but we should be opening for a bigger band soon. I'll post about it when it's confirmed. should be a good show though, get you some VIP treatment if you come along lol by Cjammc (Tue 28th Jun 2022 12:42pm)
  • Do I know you lol? by Cjammc (Fri 1st Jul 2022 9:52pm)
  • You should definitely know about the band flair who are playing the Renfrew ferry on the 16th. Heard they're amazing, might be biased tho by Cjammc (Mon 4th Jul 2022 9:51pm)
  • I'm the drummer so a little biased but I think we'll put on a good show anyway lol by Cjammc (Tue 5th Jul 2022 12:44pm)
  • If you need some drums for any of your tracks hit me up, would be happy to play on them by Cjammc (Wed 6th Jul 2022 6:58pm)
  • Considering tattoo artists are artists I doubt very many of them have a problem with someone being queer or any type of self expression so I wouldn't even think about it when picking an artist by Cjammc (Thu 7th Jul 2022 11:26pm)
  • Cycling is definitely the quickest and most reliable way into town from Pollock Shaw's so that then a train is a good bet by Cjammc (Fri 8th Jul 2022 8:22am)

  • We're all minors, go away stranger by Cjammc (Tue 16th Aug 2022 10:59pm)
  • Sometimes it makes no sense not to jump them, if you're doing a left turn for example and there's clearly no cars or pedestrians in the way then it's safer to jump the lights and get moving so you don't have to start accelerating at the same time as the cars beside you but in general you're right and those cyclists will eventually end up as paint on the road by Cjammc (Wed 17th Aug 2022 10:47am)
  • Yeah, I usually treat it as a give way but treat it as a red light like I would on a car if it's for a right turn or going through a busy junction. Basically poor infrastructure makes it sometimes safer for cyclists to break the rules some times by Cjammc (Wed 17th Aug 2022 12:24pm)
  • Any chance you've moved from France? I could do with a french friend to practice my speaking lol by Cjammc (Thu 18th Aug 2022 8:29pm)

  • Consider getting a bike, it's often quicker than driving in Glasgow anyway by Cjammc (Wed 31st Aug 2022 11:09am)
  • Had a taxi deliberately swerve at me in the cycle/taxi lane the other week. Guess the sick bastard thinks haha I almost killed you is a funny joke to play by Cjammc (Wed 31st Aug 2022 1:26pm)
  • The poor infrastructure in Glasgow makes stuff like that more likely atleast you'll be more aware of it and now one had to get hurt in the process, the one that swerved at me was definitely deliberate tho by Cjammc (Thu 1st Sep 2022 1:42pm)
  • Don't do it, moving from the Netherlands to Glasgow is an insane idea by Cjammc (Tue 6th Sep 2022 5:11pm)
  • I'd just be careful, I cycle to uni too and have a driver do something dodgy pretty much every time I'm out on the bike. Will also have to just put up with some people shouting at you for no reason. Take the lane when you need to and make sure you indicate, have lights and treat every car like it might randomly hit you even if you have right of way by Cjammc (Wed 7th Sep 2022 11:03am)
  • I've just got your maw on speed dial by Cjammc (Fri 9th Sep 2022 11:33am)
  • Building sank into the soil a bit but it's stopped now. All buildings settle a bit after being build as the group adapts to the new weight on it, your building sounds like it sunk more at one side meaning the walls aren't completely vertical anymore by Cjammc (Wed 28th Sep 2022 8:17pm)
  • If you're gonna cycle fast you should just use the road and leave the Clyde path alone, those guys ruin it for everyone even other cyclists. Coming from someone who cycles slowly along the Clyde lol by Cjammc (Thu 13th Oct 2022 9:06am)
  • Get plenty of it from your Maws squirt by Cjammc (Wed 19th Oct 2022 3:03pm)
  • Creatine is actually a large portion of squirt so it was a biology joke, you cretins just didn't get it by Cjammc (Wed 19th Oct 2022 3:22pm)

  • Over 18s don't think over 21s is really a thing in the UK by Cjammc (Wed 26th Oct 2022 2:16pm)
  • I can't and there will be some there, you can't guarantee there won't be teenagers at any clubs like they asked either but I know the demographic that shows up to shows and most people are 20+ by Cjammc (Wed 26th Oct 2022 2:23pm)
  • Have you heard about the wee ghostly tit by Cjammc (Sun 30th Oct 2022 8:21am)
  • Round abouts are pretty horrible for people walking unless you put lights on them too which would defeat the purpose, cycling around round abouts is also terrifying by Cjammc (Tue 1st Nov 2022 11:37am)
  • Buses being so bad and trains being so expensive made me take up cycling by Cjammc (Mon 7th Nov 2022 9:53pm)
  • Bastards ruined my day, was having a nice morning till I stumbled into those cunts blocking the streets by Cjammc (Sat 12th Nov 2022 1:04pm)
  • If you could do it safely without being notice you should take a video of the cunts, someone is likely to recognise them and then they'll actually face consequences for that shite, should also report it to the police, even if they don't do much it'll still be good for them to have records of it happening by Cjammc (Sat 12th Nov 2022 9:59pm)
  • I like how bad they are by Cjammc (Tue 6th Dec 2022 10:21pm)
  • Try stall three by Cjammc (Thu 8th Dec 2022 7:21pm)

  • My band just created a mail list, you were our target audience in making one lol by Cjammc (Thu 15th Dec 2022 10:35pm)
  • Nothing there by Cjammc (Sat 24th Dec 2022 11:25pm)
  • Easier to order online, bicycles are the go to for good quality cards but anything printed by high end card manufacturers will be good. Illusionist has nice decks if you're looking for something pretty by Cjammc (Sun 8th Jan 2023 1:27am)
  • I'm pretty sure even the buses don't know what's going on there, that roads absolutely terrifying to cross even on a bike cause you've no where cars are buses are heading, makes no sense by Cjammc (Mon 9th Jan 2023 1:23pm)
  • Put it on gumtree by Cjammc (Thu 12th Jan 2023 8:10pm)

  • I'm pretty sure the complaint is that the bus is ridiculously expensive, which it definitely. Regardless of if the car park is a good deal the buses are still over priced by Cjammc (Sat 4th Feb 2023 10:06pm)

  • So you saw a guy get a knife pulled on him and didn't call the police then came to Reddit to ask what to do? by Cjammc (Sun 19th Mar 2023 10:07am)
  • I'm a small hard cunt. Asking Reddit what to do the next day is stupid when he knows he should've either called the police or told him to pipe down before a blade was pulled, people will back you up it just takes the first person to say something by Cjammc (Sun 19th Mar 2023 12:01pm)
  • Cheers big man 😤 by Cjammc (Sun 19th Mar 2023 12:29pm)

  • The plan is to downgrade it so it wouldn't be a motorway by Cjammc (Tue 4th Apr 2023 6:34pm)
  • They could do with a lift to save you walking up that one, I don't think anyone would attempt cycling it by Cjammc (Tue 4th Apr 2023 10:26pm)
  • Ideally it gets redistributed onto public transport, bikes and other roads by Cjammc (Tue 4th Apr 2023 10:43pm)
  • You would still be able to drive to Glasgow with the proposed changes, the idea is just to stop it cutting right through the city, taking a motorway in then navigating a different route around the city is an option by Cjammc (Tue 4th Apr 2023 10:48pm)
  • Really the M8 should never have been built through the city centre in the first place but traffic engineers at the time got it wrong and public transport shouldn't be such a shit show but unfortunately we've got two shit shows so they're atleast looking to clean up one of them and will likely not do anything about the public transport until there's no alternative and they're forced to do something by Cjammc (Tue 4th Apr 2023 11:22pm)
  • Read the whole thing and still don't have a clue by Cjammc (Wed 5th Apr 2023 3:57pm)
  • I know but at the same time I don't wanna out someone as a scammer online even if it's true by Cjammc (Thu 6th Apr 2023 3:59pm)
  • We almost didn't play the show because there was no agreement, we never actually agreed to play it at all. We'd spoken to him and it was a case of him being like I'll get yous in for a show and we said yeah sounds good then a few weeks later he'd just sent us the advert which said we're playing, so not to be annoying we just went with it. Had to keep asking about payment and we got an answer a couple days before saying just to send him bank details and he'd split the money after between all the band's. Obviously never intended on paying us and we should've just not played the show to begin with by Cjammc (Thu 6th Apr 2023 3:58pm)
  • Yeah I'd kinda forgotten about it but we got offered another last minute show at the same venue so remembered the bastard still hadn't paid us. I'll probably just suck it up and not play anymore gigs we have doubts about by Cjammc (Thu 6th Apr 2023 4:14pm)
  • Definitely got that plus text messages with him by Cjammc (Thu 6th Apr 2023 4:58pm)
  • Update* none of the bands that played that night got paid so provided my band lets me I'll be outing him later by Cjammc (Thu 6th Apr 2023 5:34pm)
  • Nah, you had trouble with them? by Cjammc (Thu 6th Apr 2023 5:33pm)
  • It's only gonna be like £50 don't think court is necessary by Cjammc (Thu 6th Apr 2023 5:56pm)
  • RocknRollas by Cjammc (Thu 6th Apr 2023 8:09pm)
  • RocknRollas by Cjammc (Thu 6th Apr 2023 8:09pm)
  • The venue was RocknRollas, not naming the person individual as there's likely more than one person that's responsible for it but avoid RocknRollas by Cjammc (Thu 6th Apr 2023 8:08pm)
  • I run the Glasgow music subredit, didn't really take off too well but a blacklisting venues section on there might be an idea, I'll get that added to it lol, r/glasgowmusic if you feel like blacklisting Somewhere by Cjammc (Thu 6th Apr 2023 8:13pm)
  • Naw yeer no by Cjammc (Thu 6th Apr 2023 8:11pm)

  • You're a legend by Cjammc (Thu 6th Apr 2023 10:08pm)
  • Did he lose track or something? Assuming he just didn't pay the 3 that played that night it shouldn't be too hard to remember by Cjammc (Thu 6th Apr 2023 10:13pm)
  • They were being vague about the payment before hand so no agreed price was set, just that he'd split the money between bands, we don't know what sales were so can't send one. No band's got paid either by Cjammc (Thu 6th Apr 2023 10:11pm)
  • Same guy posted both, I just made a second update so it was a clear warning rather than their name being lost in the comments by Cjammc (Thu 6th Apr 2023 10:23pm)
  • Pints are £1 cheaper in paisley than in Glasgow tho so it's got that by Cjammc (Thu 6th Apr 2023 10:56pm)

  • The drivers are usually nice enough, the jobs shit so I don't know what you expect from them by Cjammc (Thu 6th Apr 2023 11:21pm)
  • Yeah, we didn't go through a promotor for it, the owner hired us by Cjammc (Fri 7th Apr 2023 9:03am)
  • Cheers man by Cjammc (Fri 7th Apr 2023 9:29am)
  • Judging by some of the comments it's standard practice for the guy by Cjammc (Fri 7th Apr 2023 9:28am)
  • I'll not be back that's for sure by Cjammc (Fri 7th Apr 2023 10:15am)
  • RocknRollas themselves, should've made it more clear by Cjammc (Fri 7th Apr 2023 1:21pm)
  • My band has been paid however the other bands are still waiting on payment, I was only going to update and say they'd righted the wrong once I knew the others got paid too so they're jumping the gun a bit on saying everyone was paid by Cjammc (Fri 7th Apr 2023 9:05pm)
  • My band has now been paid, thanks so much everyone from me and the rest of flair, you're all legends! by Cjammc (Fri 7th Apr 2023 9:34pm)
  • My band has now been paid, thank you so much everyone from me and the rest of flair. you're all legends by Cjammc (Fri 7th Apr 2023 9:35pm)
  • Months of asking them then only takes one day when you make it public, worrying effective but it's nice that the people on here were so willing to stand up for strangers by Cjammc (Fri 7th Apr 2023 9:40pm)
  • I'd of rathered not do it, some of the comments on their Facebook are slagging us for it but after 4 months of messaging someone and having your messages ignored plus hearing they didn't even pay the headliner then what else are you meant to do by Cjammc (Fri 7th Apr 2023 9:53pm)
  • Yeah it's quite ridiculous, they've posted an apology now so that's something. The comments under it are ridiculous tho, so many musicains going against us, apparently we should be grateful even if we don't get paid by Cjammc (Fri 7th Apr 2023 10:59pm)
  • Yeah I almost went off in the comments when I saw the bollocks people were saying but decided to leave it by Cjammc (Sat 8th Apr 2023 7:49am)
  • Adam Neely recently done a good video on YouTube about the attitudes towards musicains and pay, it's a good watch. The attitude even from other musicains seems to be that musicains should suffer just because by Cjammc (Sat 8th Apr 2023 2:53pm)
  • If you account for practices and the work before a gig and the time it takes every band other than the big ones lose money but we do it cause they enjoy it, atleast that's the case with us. Money didn't bother me much but the unprofessionalism around it did by Cjammc (Sat 8th Apr 2023 2:51pm)
  • Not sure how it works but they've all been taken down and they're back to their old star rating on Google, they've paid and owned up now so it's fair enough they get it back, hopefully they don't pull the same stunt again by Cjammc (Sat 8th Apr 2023 2:55pm)
  • Never heard about that one, if you've got some evidence on it then you could throw together a post on here to let folk know. I'm planning to add a bit about dodgy venues/promoter's on r/glasgowmusic aswell to try prevent some of this stuff in the future by Cjammc (Sat 8th Apr 2023 3:00pm)
  • I'd recommend the uni Muay Thai clubs, I go to strath but all the unis have one and everyone's super nice at them. The interclubs and socials are a good way to meet folk by Cjammc (Sun 9th Apr 2023 11:37pm)
  • I recently done a project looking at the accessibility of mosspark for a piece of uni work, the report is rubbish but might be useful to you. It was looking at if mosspark could be considered a 15 minute city, if you want to read it let me know and I'll DM it by Cjammc (Tue 11th Apr 2023 7:22pm)
  • There's plenty shops including silver burn within 10 minute cycles and can cycle to town in 20 minutes. Train station which can get you to town or paisley in 5 minutes and plenty of busses on paisley road by Cjammc (Tue 11th Apr 2023 7:25pm)
  • Humans probably beat them by a long shot by Cjammc (Thu 13th Apr 2023 11:07am)
  • Second hand bike is by far the cheapest option and depending on where you're going it's often quicker too by Cjammc (Thu 13th Apr 2023 11:13am)
  • Nothing wrong with claiming benefits by Cjammc (Fri 14th Apr 2023 2:36pm)
  • Construction companies definitely need to keep fences up, they're supposed to employ someone to check the perimeter of the site as well to ensure its completely fenced off. Construction sites will have hazards in them that aren't immediately obvious and it's foreseeable that kids will play in it if it's not properly secured by Cjammc (Fri 14th Apr 2023 4:27pm)
  • Found the racist, you got fired by people who were Serbian so now Serbian=bad by Cjammc (Mon 17th Apr 2023 1:54pm)
  • Whether or not the people who fired you were also racist and shitty in their actions doesn't change that your approach to blaming Serbia as a whole and the people there is racist. Wheather you're aware of it or not your thoughts on the matter are informed by racism by Cjammc (Mon 17th Apr 2023 2:40pm)
  • Why would it be impossible via public transport? Not saying your wrong but public transport or even walking the last bit of a journey is more than likely possible for the vast majority of cases by Cjammc (Thu 20th Apr 2023 3:36pm)
  • Cargo bike would do the trick and in the vast majority of cases people are driving massive cars without a good reason by Cjammc (Thu 20th Apr 2023 3:40pm)
  • With less massive cars speeding about it'd be a lot less scary. Cargo bikes can do all the things you asked, feeling compelled to have a big car to feel safe is a different issue by Cjammc (Thu 20th Apr 2023 3:49pm)
  • Never said they're pointless but it would do the original things you stated, a small car would be adequate for the other stuff you want to do. A big suv is unnecessary for 99.9% of people. I also do big shops in the snow on my bike but I'm a bit weird and enjoy that by Cjammc (Thu 20th Apr 2023 4:02pm)
  • Too be clear I'm not suggesting he rides a cargo bike, I don't even do that, I'm just saying we don't need to be acting like golf clubs warrant an SUV when even a bike could carry them by Cjammc (Thu 20th Apr 2023 4:39pm)
  • Although I disagree with you on it being wrong, people should really be looking to countries that tried banning it and all the horror stories that it causes. It's quite similar to trying to ban things like alcohol, it's much better to have it being done legally and controlled. If they really think there's something wrong with it then it makes more sense to try change people's approaches to sex to prevent it rather than trying to ban it by Cjammc (Fri 21st Apr 2023 5:38pm)
  • Yeah I remember watching a video about what happened when Romanian banned it, it got really disturbing and sad with all the failed attempts from people trying to do it themselves. If people don't like it then don't participate but it's crazy to try force their morality onto people and ignore what will happen. It's weird that people think the mortality of a minority should be legislated onto the majority who disagree with them by Cjammc (Fri 21st Apr 2023 5:47pm)
  • Cycling trippled in Glasgow over lock down and cycle routes make driving better due to the decreases in traffic. Cycle lanes decrease traffic they don't increase it by Cjammc (Tue 25th Apr 2023 3:57pm)
  • Alot of them are just painted to say that they've built a cycle lane and aren't useable so people cycle beside them on the road. Good cycle lanes should be empty since they dont get traffic build ups, same with bus lanes. Heavily used bus and cycle lanes often get seen as unused when in reality they're just a lot more efficient than the roads cars use by Cjammc (Tue 25th Apr 2023 3:55pm)
  • I see what you mean, cycling in Glasgow is a pretty terrifying experience on a lot of routes so the numbers of cyclists is probably a lot lower than most cities. But building the infrastructure for it to be safer will likely increase how many people take it up. There's been studies on if cycle routes increase the numbers of cyclists, a lot of people won't cycle on roads and would only consider it if theres a safe cycle route plus the safe routes designed for bikes make it more enjoyable so that also helps increase how many cyclists there are by Cjammc (Tue 25th Apr 2023 4:33pm)
  • Initially yes but not in the long run by Cjammc (Tue 25th Apr 2023 4:53pm)
  • Adding lanes doesn't decrease traffic, adding lanes increases the volume until it hit a certain point which causes it to perform just as well as the road with less lanes did. In the same way removing a lane doesn't increase traffic but it is true that initially that is what happens by Cjammc (Tue 25th Apr 2023 4:56pm)
  • I do drive although often but I also study transport planning at uni as part of my course.
