  • Thank you! That’s very helpful. by CloudPrevious218 (Sun 6th Jun 2021 1:39pm)
  • It is for the isotretinoin/accutane clinic. I have been referred twice for that before in the past 8/9 years or so. But the last referral was several years ago! I guess moles are classified as urgent due to cancer risk. by CloudPrevious218 (Sun 6th Jun 2021 2:17pm)
  • Hope that’s sorted soon for you! by CloudPrevious218 (Sun 6th Jun 2021 5:39pm)
  • Thank you very much for this really informative reply. Is it possible after seeing a dermatologist privately that my treatment can be picked up again on the NHS through the hospital clinic? Or is it more like once you start private you stay private? My problem is the excessive scarring and hyperpigmentation that is happening and which I have no control over. I have tretinoin 0.05 but too scared to put it on my face due to really bad perioral dermatitis. (Edit: grammar) by CloudPrevious218 (Sun 6th Jun 2021 5:47pm)
  • Thank you for your reply and concern. I have been twice on it before in my early and mid twenties and have personally suffered no side effects at all except the dry lips and eyes. Which is why I don’t mind going through another course. However, I am aware of the unfortunate stories and the risks of such a strong drug. by CloudPrevious218 (Sun 6th Jun 2021 5:52pm)
  • If you don’t mind me asking what was the ointment for the pigmentation? Hydroquinone by any chance? It’s just interesting how some treatments are available privately but not on the NHS. I always wanted to give hydroquinone a shot (for another problem that I have) but it seems to be banned in the UK. by CloudPrevious218 (Mon 7th Jun 2021 11:12pm)
  • Thanks for the recommendation but would rather stick with the legal stuff at the moment. It’s interesting though. Has there been any studies done on this? by CloudPrevious218 (Mon 7th Jun 2021 11:16pm)
  • Thank you very much for this website and the code! Didn’t know such a service existed, will definitely consider it. by CloudPrevious218 (Tue 8th Jun 2021 12:12pm)
  • I used the Priory hospital many years ago which is located is the Shawlands area but it was for something else so not really sure about ADHD/ASD assessment or treatment. Looking through the list of specialists on their website, there seems to be a few that list these conditions as their specialities. You can always ring them up and enquire and if I remember correctly all you need is a referral letter from your GP. You usually see a psychiatrist first to assess/diagnose you and then this is followed up by sessions with a psychologist if needed. Bear in mind though that everyone who works there, still work/have worked in the past for the NHS. In terms of prices, can’t remember the exact figures and not sure if every specialist has a different pricing but I paid something in the range of £200-£250 per session with the psychiatrist and £100-150 per session with the psychologist. Booking sessions in bulk also reduces the price as well. Best of luck with whatever you do! by CloudPrevious218 (Tue 31st Aug 2021 9:02pm)
