  • I paid a deposit and first months rent to these assholes 12 years ago. Had a newborn baby at the time. Ground floor flat that had NO catches/locks on the windows at all, I asked for them to be fitted as at the time there was quite a few local burglaries, they refused as the tenement door itself was secure?! • Depends on the cats behaviour really. Our cat goes next door everyday at 7am and 5pm as he knows that's treat time(they buy him dreamies every subday). He also likes a wee nap on their kitchen table or spare bed. Has done this for 8 years and no issues. Actually I lie, the bloke once kept him in after our bedtime at 10pm, I got him told and its not happened since. They also make great cat sitters when we're on holiday. Good to know he's in a loving environment. by Danglyweed (Tue 12th Apr 2022 1:37pm)
  • I'm sure rainbow rooms do. by Danglyweed (Tue 12th Apr 2022 2:19pm)
  • I wouldn't knock someones door at 1am unless an emergency but my neighbours are old so we're all away to bed early ish. It'll be making a lot of noise to get in because you're letting it in lol Some people get very protective/offended over how their neighbours treat their cats so probably best to jave a chat with them if approachable by Danglyweed (Tue 12th Apr 2022 5:42pm)
  • They maybe don't care?! by Danglyweed (Tue 12th Apr 2022 6:50pm)
  • I worked in Inglefield St hostel, never any really rude ladies that I can recall. But it was fairly common to be asked if we could lend them cash. Nothing like an early Monday morning shift being asked if you wanted to buy blues. by Danglyweed (Wed 20th Apr 2022 11:09am)
  • I wonder how successful a camera would be in this situation? Edit. I mean a genuine cctv camera or such like. I wasn't being sarcastic to you. by Danglyweed (Sat 23rd Apr 2022 9:38pm)

  • I was just about to ask the area. I lived on Alison St by the Vic bar for 10 years and loved it, felt like home , then I moved along to daisy St. Holy fuck, my evening walk home was always wondering if that would be the day I was raped. Recently visited and its unreal how much its changed. Best thing I ever did was move out of there when I had kids. Breaks my heart, I LOVED that place and couldn't wait for the kids to grow up so I could move back, won't ever happen now I don't think. by Danglyweed (Sat 23rd Apr 2022 9:36pm)
  • Absolutely should be ashamed but there's been plenty press coverage on how its changed and they don't care do they? 20 years ago I first moved there, it's changed soooo much. by Danglyweed (Sat 23rd Apr 2022 10:09pm)
  • Not strathbungo at all. That's the other side of the Road. Worked in inglefield at hostel, remember the young teams meeting on the bridge a lot, my office had the perfect viewing position. by Danglyweed (Sat 23rd Apr 2022 10:34pm)

  • I'm a east fifer, moved to Glasgow at 15 for college. Stayed 10 years till I had my own sprogs and decamped, guess I still had that small town head on. I miss it EVERYDAY. It feels like home to me, dunno why but it really does. And I lived in govanhill, so that's saying something lol by Danglyweed (Sat 9th Jul 2022 9:19pm)
  • I worked at inglefield St hostel for a few years, I like the honesty. The offer of a few blue pulls for a fiver isn't much appreciated on a Monday morning but the honesty of what it's for certainly is. I've learnt train conductors are very sweet to certain fair dodging bribes. by Danglyweed (Sat 9th Jul 2022 9:17pm)

  • You need to shack up with a painter and decorator. I did. He's currently lining the living room. The "oops, missed a bit" tends to go down better with someone you're shagging too... Seriously, depends on the room size and what condition it's in. by Danglyweed (Thu 28th Jul 2022 3:31pm)

Everyone else just pats your shoulder "oh its OK" "oh I'm sorry" etc without knowing you have a disability iykwim. Your post brought up a terrible memory of me leaving my mums coat in campus a good 17/18 year ago, wouldn't let me in the next day to check without paying. I didn't have the 4 quid or whatever. • I lived in pollok for a bit, the van would come round 3 times a night, think the last time was about 930/10. Our ice cream van never turned up last night, lazy shite! by Danglyweed (Sat 5th Nov 2022 9:41am)

  • I've had various chest xrays due to pneumonia and a collapsed lung and shoulder xrays. I was thinking I've never had to take mine off, but I bloody well did have to take bra/tshirt off and wear wear gown everytime. And ponytails, who knew ponytails were such an inconvenience for xrays, apparently they show up so gotta move them out the way?! by Danglyweed (Fri 11th Nov 2022 7:31pm)

  • I lived at 102 Allison St for years, was totally fine and had no issues. Moved along to Daisy Street and then Glenisla, while my street was fine the walk along Allison Street at night was ansolutely terrifying. If I had to move back I'd choose between Pollokshaws Road and Victoria Road or down Ardbeg Street. by Danglyweed (Fri 18th Nov 2022 10:37am)
  • I've had a cold for at least a month now. Strangely though my right nostril is very dry. I dunno what's more annoying by Danglyweed (Fri 18th Nov 2022 2:03pm)

  • I'll never understand why the 5 or so nurses floating about outpatients clinics chatting aren't deployed? Daily, hourly whatever. Everytime you step foot in an outpatients there's several nurses with just one moving a medical folder from one to the other and calling a name. I'd LOVE to see proper stats from my local hospital of inpatients vs outpatients and their age. Guaranteed 90% 70+ and longish patients by Danglyweed (Fri 30th Dec 2022 9:37pm)
  • Doesn't take 5+ nurses to move a pike of paper one metre and call a name. by Danglyweed (Fri 30th Dec 2022 10:03pm)
  • I do do my job 100% because I'm self employed, If i fuck up, then my clients are REALLY fucked up no matter if it was them or me that caused it. I AM fucked off at the absolute non care of the NHS from above, I have a progressive condition that has rapidly fucked me over the last two years with NO input at all from the hospital at all. As a nurse/Dr? I genuinely send you my love and hope things improve. I doubt they will unfortunately by Danglyweed (Fri 30th Dec 2022 10:26pm)

  • When I had my first I lived in a really rough block in Pollok, she was prem and I haemorrhaged really badly. Got her home eventually and after a few nights with no iron reserves and sleep deprivation I k.o'd, neighbour who I knew somewhat but not brilliantly etc to took my wee girl and got me blue lighted. Then moved into temp accommodation in a half shuttered Street in Tollcross. Knew the woman and kid downstairs to pass pleasantries with. A friend of my brothers died and I was going to meet my brother at buchanan to get him back to mine as he didn't know glasgow at all. Was that cunty winter of 2010, met the lady as I was carrying the buggy downstairs, she noped me taking the buggy out in that. She took the wee one while I fetched my brother. We moved out of glasgow when we got our kids nursery placement, ironically it was in a rough ass area and so we noped outta there fast. I miss glasgow everyday! by Danglyweed (Sat 28th Jan 2023 9:09pm)

  • Should preface this by saying I'm also a non driver that's terrified of drivers! There was a lot of moaning about it at first but it actually makes little difference to anyone, the roads are all so narrow in residential areas that you already needed to go that slow anyway. by Danglyweed (Sun 29th Jan 2023 1:43pm)
  • We had our TV and phone and gas/electric with them. The WiFi was the shittest thing on the planet, 2g would be preferable. Also not remotely any cheaper. We shop a lot at sainsburys though so that was the best perk. by Danglyweed (Sun 29th Jan 2023 7:45pm)
