  • I have worked with young people who are at such schools. If you are academically able the school experience matches the description, good. If you require additional support then they want you out as soon as legally possible. The snobbery and pressure can be relentless and I wouldn’t send my kids to one of these schools by ExecFunction0 (Wed 31st Aug 2022 9:41pm)
  • I earn that and I’m a single parent with 2 children. I live month to month. I drive but dread MOT time as there’s no spare cash. I don’t go out and rarely have a takeaway by ExecFunction0 (Thu 1st Sep 2022 8:09pm)
  • I got my old dog from Dogs Trust when my oldest was only 2 and I had 2 cats so it can’t be ruled out completely. by ExecFunction0 (Thu 1st Sep 2022 9:01pm)
  • They don’t. My dog wasn’t on site. They are notoriously difficult when it comes to rehoming dogs but for good reasons. SSPCA are also worth trying but I’ve only had cats from them so no idea about rehoming process for dogs. by ExecFunction0 (Thu 1st Sep 2022 9:59pm)
  • Thanks. I’ve no option but to work. Fortunately I have family support with childcare by ExecFunction0 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 7:53am)
  • I’m going in 2 weeks. Cost me £160 as booked open return due to stress of it all. 18th timetable still not out. by ExecFunction0 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 3:11pm)
  • I came to also say Nirvana. I’ve had 2 piercings done there and always recommend them by ExecFunction0 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 7:19pm)
  • I’m originally from Coatbridge and that has blown my mind 😂 by ExecFunction0 (Sun 11th Sep 2022 11:22am)
  • I remember this. I sort of had my first date with my husband in it as we went after a night shift. I remember really good bean wraps but don’t remember the goldfish by ExecFunction0 (Sat 17th Sep 2022 12:44am)
  • I’ve looked into this before but never found anything suitable by ExecFunction0 (Wed 21st Sep 2022 10:49pm)
  • They’ve estimated I’ll use £6743 in gas in the next 12 months. I’m continuing to pay what I pay based on my monthly readings. by ExecFunction0 (Thu 22nd Sep 2022 10:59pm)
  • Thankfully not. They’ve just got it very wrong by ExecFunction0 (Thu 22nd Sep 2022 11:44pm)

  • Remind me closer to the gig please. by ExecFunction0 (Tue 27th Sep 2022 7:38am)
  • Thanks. Had to google that as wasn't sure if it was a company or some damp proofing chemical. They are out my neck of the woods too so appreciate your reply by ExecFunction0 (Wed 28th Sep 2022 9:38pm)
  • No under floor heating. I think it was an old miners cottage but the rough casting is a good shout. Do you know if it can be removed? by ExecFunction0 (Wed 28th Sep 2022 9:58pm)
  • It’s so shortsighted not to fix it. Part of my problem is some of the windows don’t have safety catches so I can’t risk opening them for fear one of my cats will get out so it limits the ventilation by ExecFunction0 (Wed 28th Sep 2022 11:15pm)
  • Thanks. I’m off to google damp meters by ExecFunction0 (Thu 29th Sep 2022 8:04am)
  • Thank you. That’s a great idea. by ExecFunction0 (Thu 29th Sep 2022 8:03am)

  • I’ve had to contact my kids school about a blanket no jumpers in class rule and said whereas I will always support teachers addressing disruptive and disrespectful behaviour I won’t support this as there is no sensible reason for the rule, it’s a barrier to learning if kids are cold and shows a lack of respect for body autonomy. Kids on stimulant medication for ADHD are also more sensitive to cold and Autistic kids can struggle to regulate their temperature so yet again they are faced with increased difficulties in an education setting. Rules for rules sake get my hackles up. by ExecFunction0 (Fri 30th Sep 2022 8:13am)
  • Even if your GP takes on your prescription (shared care) you have to pay for reviews and until you’re on a medication and dose that works for you these reviews will be every couple of months. I had to pay for my sons medication and reviews whilst he waited on a CAMHS assessment as the GP wouldn’t engage in shared care. by ExecFunction0 (Tue 11th Oct 2022 4:34pm)
  • There are guidelines from NHS teams about what they need from an assessment to reduce risk of requiring to reassess. I would hope independent services start to follow these as they are doing the clients a huge disservice otherwise plus could damage the business reputation by ExecFunction0 (Tue 11th Oct 2022 7:27pm)
  • A GP can’t diagnose ADHD. by ExecFunction0 (Wed 12th Oct 2022 7:56am)
  • Why? by ExecFunction0 (Thu 13th Oct 2022 8:06pm)
  • Try Relationships Scotland. I think they are in Sauchiehall Street. Good luck. by ExecFunction0 (Sat 22nd Oct 2022 8:55pm)

  • Your nursing degree doesn’t count so you’d need to do the undergrad course. It’s a really competitive course to get on to. Good luck by ExecFunction0 (Sat 19th Nov 2022 2:07am)
  • How interesting as I was told it didn’t. Best of luck if you decide to go for it. by ExecFunction0 (Sat 19th Nov 2022 10:52am)
  • This is not true. Yes without a doubt there has been a rise in less scrupulous services that will diagnose after an hours appointment but there are also services who provide an equivalent assessment to the NHS. Some health boards have guidance in place for what a private assessment should entail and will accept the diagnosis if the assessment is robust. Many GP’s engage in shared care and will do the prescription for medication. I was diagnosed in the NHS and my son privately. I would always recommend getting on the NHS waiting list but if you can afford a private assessment then go for it but check out what’s involved and don’t be taken in by a cheaper service as they often have add ons they are less transparent about. by ExecFunction0 (Tue 20th Dec 2022 9:19am)
  • This is extremely important. Medication plays a part but it isn’t the only answer by ExecFunction0 (Tue 20th Dec 2022 9:20am)
  • GP’s aren’t funded to provide shared care for ADHD as far as I’m aware so it’s additional work with no additional payments. Could be wrong. by ExecFunction0 (Tue 20th Dec 2022 1:31pm)
  • Couldn’t agree more. by ExecFunction0 (Tue 20th Dec 2022 5:29pm)
  • My children attend GME. I don’t speak Gaelic. I chose it for my oldest as they clearly had difficulties that meant your usual mainstream class size wouldn’t suit them. It was the right thing at the time for my children. I really don’t want to argue with anyone over this so please understand this is my experience after 15 years of GME and it isn’t a criticism. Parents tend to be middle class professionals who would like their children to be privately educated but either for financial or political reasons don’t send them to private schools or like me they recognised a specific need in their child. 20% of the children in my youngest’s class are neurodiverse. GME isn’t open to all pupils regardless of what the SNP say. You just need to look at the demographics to see this. GME isn’t widely discussed as an option and for many the local provision is just too far away to travel to. If you and your child to a GME school then I think it’s remiss of you not to also learn. I say this as a parent who still has a very limited knowledge of the language and I regret that. by ExecFunction0 (Wed 8th Mar 2023 12:22am)
  • You can park in the stadium car park at Janefield St BUT you will be sat in your car for about an hour after the game and the traffic around the grind can still be grim. Parking has been increasingly difficult in recent years and I now park almost at Matalan on London Rd. by ExecFunction0 (Wed 8th Mar 2023 12:27am)
  • Thank you for sharing your experience by ExecFunction0 (Wed 8th Mar 2023 10:17am)

  • Whippets are trendy??? I had a rescue whippet from 06-18 and been considering looking into adopting another. Didn’t realise they were now considered trendy. by ExecFunction0 (Wed 12th Apr 2023 9:14pm)
  • Our dog was amazing. I’d recommend a whippet to anyone looking for a dog by ExecFunction0 (Wed 12th Apr 2023 9:49pm)
  • I’ve been wearing dungarees since the 90’s so you are correct. by ExecFunction0 (Thu 13th Apr 2023 12:02am)
  • I took my daughter to see One Direction years ago. It was a horrific experience due to all the drunk mothers. 2 actually started to physically fight in front of us. This was in the seating section too. by ExecFunction0 (Fri 14th Apr 2023 5:35pm)
  • Guy who cuts my grass fortnightly Apr-Oct charges £16 BUT he’s charged me that for over 10 years so it’s probably not going rate these days. by ExecFunction0 (Fri 14th Apr 2023 7:19pm)
  • Thank you. She isn’t dog friendly but she’s tiny so I can carry her if she becomes a pest. by ExecFunction0 (Sat 15th Apr 2023 12:42pm)
  • Thruppence ha’penny. She’s old and her vet bills are mounting up so it’s probably all she’s worth but of course she’s priceless to the family. by ExecFunction0 (Sat 15th Apr 2023 12:48pm)
  • Thank you. She’s an anxious wee dug and I should have been clearer, she’s gets picked up if she’s scared. She’s been fine though. She doesn’t need a muzzle. She’s never bared her teeth never mind bitten anyone. I was unaware of yellow leash. I’ll look into it. by ExecFunction0 (Sat 15th Apr 2023 2:59pm)
  • I’m laughing as she’s tiny and not vicious. She can just bark if she’s anxious and that’s what I meant by pest. by ExecFunction0 (Sat 15th Apr 2023 2:57pm)
  • I lived across the road from Maxwell Arms. Only ever in it once. The karaoke used to keep me awake it was so loud. by ExecFunction0 (Fri 5th May 2023 9:09am)
  • What kind of photographer are you? If you want to take pet shoots I’m up for it. If you want to make a middle aged woman with low self esteem look good I’m up for it but if you want to take photos of my teens then I’m thinking that isn’t right by ExecFunction0 (Sat 6th May 2023 1:47am)
  • I’m really torn reading the comments here. I was at the Trongate with my 14yr old. We’re ST holders. Personally I’d have preferred to go home but my teen was keen to go and join the celebrations. We didn’t see any violence and my teen had a bottle of juice they kept hold of until they eventually seen a bin. I knew there would be a mess left behind but the council also had advanced warning and could have provided more litter bins. I’d prefer an organised fan zone than fans left to cause traffic chaos and mess in town. by ExecFunction0 (Sun 28th May 2023 11:59pm)
  • Panorama broadcast a snapshot of the private assessment process and didn’t mention the audits done by the services that show around 10% aren’t diagnosed. I was diagnosed via the NHS. It did not take anywhere near 3hrs to assess me. My son was diagnosed privately and the first appointment was 2hrs followed by a second appointment lasting an hour. I also had to complete screening forms and provide further information prior to his assessment. I think you get what you pay for. The other thing to be careful about going private is ensuring the service can also provide treatment as some services only employ psychologists and they can’t prescribe. I worked in CAMHS for almost 30 years so I know there’s no issue with my son’s diagnosis. by ExecFunction0 (Fri 9th Jun 2023 8:02am)

  • I have this one in an old cottage. It sits around 60% in summer months unless I’m drying clothes or the shower has been on. In winter it is lower. I’m running mine 24hrs at present. by ExecFunction0 (Wed 23rd Aug 2023 7:03pm)

  • I couldn’t get an appointment at Ross Hall for 6 weeks and ended up with a cancellation through NHS instead. I guess it’ll depend on what you need it for, your availability and if it matches the specialist you want to see. by ExecFunction0 (Thu 28th Sep 2023 8:34pm)

  • There are 2 non stimulant options. One is only licensed for under 18’s. The other has been out of stock for a number of months. Stimulant medication is usually more effective and it works quicker. by ExecFunction0 (Sun 1st Oct 2023 10:16am)
  • They usually have a 3hr limit and no return within the hour. Ridiculous though if there’s a cinema and restaurants. Ignore it. Do not contact them or engage with them in anyway. by ExecFunction0 (Sun 1st Oct 2023 11:44am)
  • I guess I was thinking about Silverburn as a whole rather than car parks for different businesses. I’ve not been for a while and can’t visualise Tesco car park being separate. by ExecFunction0 (Sun 1st Oct 2023 1:52pm)
  • Tesco have signs in store recruiting seasonal (Christmas) staff. My oldest done this in Morrisons a few years ago so I’d guess most, if not all supermarkets will be recruiting. by ExecFunction0 (Wed 4th Oct 2023 12:19am)

  • Just paid £2425 for my dog to have an MRI yesterday. Consultation was £264 the day before. Insurance will only pay out £1600 as limit for one condition is £2000 and there’s a co-payment of 20% Animal Friends are shit. Should have insured her with Tesco. They cover my cats up to £6000 by ExecFunction0 (Wed 25th Oct 2023 2:50pm)

  • I’m in this exact situation currently and probably going to pay as I don’t need it hanging over me. I haven’t paid when received similar tickets from elsewhere in the past but I don’t want to take the risk this time by ExecFunction0 (Wed 15th Nov 2023 7:56pm)
