  • Don't mind me! Just here to see Jasper Carrot get absolute pelters. Tell ye wit, he's got me feart. I just left Glasgow, after getting a Big Licks. Better watch I don't get twenty licks aff big Jas next time! by Foxcub94 (Fri 4th Sep 2020 10:29pm)
  • I know no one asked, but.... This is **the** reason why I refuse to go up the town anymore for a drinking night, past 6/7pm. I fucking despise every and all doormen up there. I don't care if someone says 'my uncles one and he's a good guy'. They are *all* pricks. I anticipate their hard man 'my answer is final' attitude as I'm walking up, which I won't lie about, makes me intimidated and nervous of not getting in, which they probably sense. I feel I have to fabricate a story of how I'm no steaming! even if I've had ONE drink and just came out. They've ruined countless nights and split up birthday/catch up nights etc, if half of us get in and half get 'no the night' Small disclaimer, I don't knock up to doors like an idiot, blazing or being loud or have an attitude, I just say alright mate and act cool. If they say no. I walk away. Never argue, cause they will never change their decision. by Foxcub94 (Sat 12th Sep 2020 12:54am)
  • Also, just seems to be Glasgow doormen too. But whatever. I never act the wideo, but like you said, they seem to just sense skittishness or awkwardness and prey on it. Call me a freak or a beta by getting intimidated, whatever haha. Fact is, they definitely believe they are tough and important, and I don't care for it anymore. I'll just remove myself from the equation, let them get on with it, and have my drinking in the house. I bet they aw called each other up, over lockdown, to come stand at their door so they could say "where ye been the night? Nah no the night pal" and furiously wank each other shouting "naw you're the hardest" "naw **you're** the hardest" But anyway, I'm no bitter about it...! by Foxcub94 (Sat 12th Sep 2020 1:24am)
  • Fucking ridiculous, innit. Laughable really. Then they radio other pubs doormen to tell them not to let In 'the guy/girl wearing the....' by Foxcub94 (Sat 12th Sep 2020 10:59am)
  • I'll remove this, no worries, if it's not what the sub is 'looking for'! Just cool seeing your home town on a typically American sub/app. by Foxcub94 (Fri 23rd Oct 2020 12:27pm)
  • G'damn...quick someone post some Black Stone Cherry clips! by Foxcub94 (Fri 23rd Oct 2020 4:31pm)
  • I was going to ask this too! Here's mine from Johnstone. https://twitter.com/livingstone9594/status/1321021803247128578?s=19 by Foxcub94 (Tue 27th Oct 2020 11:43am)
  • That's amazing! I'm a bit confused with the mountains in the background..is that Ben Lomond off-centre right? I'm a Glennifer Braes(Car park in the sky) guy and the right side mountain looks like Ben Lomond but... It can't be that far right when you're looking directly into the city? It's dead centre, if not slightly left field, at my view point. by Foxcub94 (Sat 2nd Jan 2021 4:51am)
  • I stay in Johnstone. Right over my house at probably 1000ft. It's fine. I like aviation...but you really don't notice. Glasgow doesn't have a large volume of loud planes in and out everyday. Only the Emirates 777, which is just fun to watch anyway. The new easyjet models are near enough silent too, quite interesting! by Foxcub94 (Sun 21st Feb 2021 3:14pm)
  • Never mind believable. It's your home. No means no. No reasons. Ask your pal round, plus do the formal complaint. Good luck! by Foxcub94 (Mon 18th Oct 2021 12:28pm)
  • It was really cool 2 years back. This year we left very disappointed. Well... As disappointed as you can be at some lights on the grass. Before, they had projections onto a house, and on the Bridge over the river, the greenhouse was done up with lights and loud music inside. That is closed this time. There's no projections. The 'story' is non existent. And the night we went, the stringy light tunnel wasn't open. Just got diverted away for no apparent reason (the lights were still on) It's not great at all this year. So, it's up to yourself but it's not the best. by Foxcub94 (Thu 11th Nov 2021 11:34am)
  • Do you have a companion that you could join with? I always said 'I hate the gym, it's no for me! I prefer solo cycling and hillwalking! ' So, me and my mate joined with a couples membership and go together. Nervous as all hell, but you'll soon forget you ever were. Now I don't hate the gym. As always, the boring but correct answer is just join and go! 2/3 days in a row and that's you 'in' Good luck! by Foxcub94 (Fri 7th Jan 2022 10:44pm)
  • It might have been Edinburgh live(are they the same people?) that fully called me out and argued with me on their post! Children. They were definitely wrong about what I disputed because hey... It's not just my literal job to know all about what they claimed, wrongly. by Foxcub94 (Mon 28th Feb 2022 6:39pm)
  • I'm slightly out of touch with general pub-going but went in to try my first Guinness the other week there with a mate. Got a tenner out and genuinely thought... This won't be enough. £6.60 for the 2 pints! Cheap. And was a fun wee pub. Definitely be back. by Foxcub94 (Fri 29th Apr 2022 1:57pm)
  • Coincidentally, I had to turn the Netflix Still Game subtitles off! They were completely wrong at times. by Foxcub94 (Wed 2nd Nov 2022 12:48pm)
  • I had Covid last week. First time having it and it felt like the mildest cold I've ever had thankfully! Didn't cough **once** even if I wanted to. Nose wasn't blocked, wasn't tired etc etc.. After that I was golden. My brothers been seriously coughing for 2 weeks now and on antibiotics, I believe by Foxcub94 (Fri 18th Nov 2022 5:58pm)
  • Can't help but wonder which part the down votes are for? Just 4 straight facts personal to you... by Foxcub94 (Fri 18th Nov 2022 6:03pm)
  • Didn't implicitly say he had a virus, but okay. Doctor's prescribed him something for a what must be a chest infection. Just stating another 'thing going round' in line with the OP post. by Foxcub94 (Fri 18th Nov 2022 6:20pm)
  • Couldn't tell you. Just a bunch of Flucloaxillin was given to him today. by Foxcub94 (Fri 18th Nov 2022 6:48pm)
  • I wasn't no. Last time I seen them was in the SECC, December 2018. I've gone right off them with their new direction of style. It happened without me even noticing though. I just never spin them on Spotify anymore and if they do come on shuffle I just think nahh... skip. Oddly I played a few songs on guitar for the first time in yeaaaars the day before the gig unbeknownst to me... Usually happens when a band is coming and I don't know about it haha. Sorry it wasn't a good show for you! It really does get to you when it's just not what you expected, eh? by Foxcub94 (Tue 31st Jan 2023 2:47pm)
  • It's possible that because it's a dual headline situation they both do like 75% sets. Not saying it's good or bad either way, but I guess that's the type of show *this time*.. and they'll always be back for a fuller, regular album tour. by Foxcub94 (Tue 31st Jan 2023 9:06pm)
  • Probably be fine but in my opinion they like to ask sometimes purely to gauge how drunk you are with their usual "where you been? Much ye had?" by Foxcub94 (Mon 22nd May 2023 8:44pm)
