Interests:

  • Yeah... I have... But the perspective of locals is usually better. by HTired89 (Tue 20th Sep 2022 10:31pm)
  • That was the second thing I did after a few google searches. Didn't really find too many evening and weekend activities for this time of year. by HTired89 (Tue 20th Sep 2022 10:39pm)
  • I loved the canals of Venice. I'll definitely be adding that to the list. Thanks! by HTired89 (Tue 20th Sep 2022 10:37pm)
  • That's fair. I have done some internet searching already but I like to get the local perspective. I also had a scroll through the sub and didn't come across anything super relevant. I didn't give ideas of interest because I'd like to be open to anything. If I was to say that I like museums and hiking every suggestion is going to be a museum and hiking spot. by HTired89 (Tue 20th Sep 2022 10:36pm)
  • Yeah, my sarcasm isn't always the clearest too 😂 I was just glad it was nothing to do with yer ma. by HTired89 (Thu 22nd Sep 2022 9:59am)
  • I've just arrived too and that sounds like fun if you want some company 🙂 by HTired89 (Mon 17th Oct 2022 5:41pm)
  • I just tell them "sorry, I don't speak English" and walk off. The "... Heeeey, wait a minute!" moment doesn't usually hit them until you're already gone. by HTired89 (Sat 13th May 2023 3:42am)
  • When I was last in Glasgow I saw an American guy, maybe 22 to 25, wearing a kilt and trying to chat up a woman about the same age. She told him her name, which I can't remember, but it was the same name as many in Scotland. He said something along the lines of "that's such a weird name!". I nearly lost my balance from how much cringe I was feeling. by HTired89 (Wed 5th Jul 2023 10:37pm)
  • He looks nothing like Monk. ![gif](giphy|ckO6ceeMXTP765kZa1) by HTired89 (Sat 8th Jul 2023 6:44am)
  • Oh no! A gap year! Those poor kids! 😂 Good tip. by HTired89 (Sun 30th Jul 2023 10:53pm)
  • I'm from Australia. Adelaide to be specific. Glasgow is slightly smaller in population than Adelaide yet I found the night life to be way more vibrant. On the weekends I was there, there was a lot more going on. It was super walkable too. Only got a cab once while I was there. by HTired89 (Sun 30th Jul 2023 10:52pm)
