  • And if it's rainy outside the platforms end up slippy as anything. Trying to walk along a busy platform on a wet day is like being a contestant on Ninja Warrior. I'm surprised people don't get hurt more regularly in Subway stations. by IggyWiggamama (Thu 3rd Oct 2019 11:39pm)

  • You can join the Sir Alex Ferguson Library at GCU for free and get wifi access. Check the section on [community membership](https://www.gcu.ac.uk/library/usingthelibrary/membership/). The 2nd floor library is usually really busy but there's normally plenty of seating and plugs around the cafe in the lobby. by IggyWiggamama (Sat 29th Feb 2020 2:14am)

  • The timetables aren't normally ready until around induction time, so you might need to wait until then. Might be worth giving the course leader a wee email to see if they have any info on it, although I assume they're probably getting all sorts of emails at the minute. by IggyWiggamama (Thu 26th Mar 2020 4:54pm)

  • So all the regeneration projects are being tore down, the nature walks never materialised, the ramp at the Kingston bridge was never finished, and the Clyde still hasn't got any fish in it. What a miserable film in hindsight. by IggyWiggamama (Mon 28th Dec 2020 2:17am)

  • Aye and Yoker FC play there too. I assume at one point Yoker was it's own area and when the boundaries were drawn up it got split between Glasgow and West Dunbartonshire. by IggyWiggamama (Sun 14th Mar 2021 12:25am)

  • If you're planning on having kids then you might want to look somewhere with better schools. But if that's still a while off then you could probably sell up and move to a better area before your future kid starts school. The east end has a reputation/low house prices for a reason and while it is possible to get lucky and have decent neighbours there is still a higher chance of anti-social behaviour/violence/drug use. Go for a walk round the area at 10 o'clock on a Saturday night to get an idea of what it night be like living there. by IggyWiggamama (Wed 7th Apr 2021 10:40am)

  • Downstairs neighbour is an old hermit type. Very grumpy, always drunk, and not very approachable. I'll probably just try and connect a hose to the bathroom tap rather than having to deal with him. by IggyWiggamama (Mon 26th Jul 2021 4:21pm)
  • Think this is probably my best bet. I've took off the aerator and measured it spent a good chunk of my evening trying to work out what the hell BSP thread size is, but I'm pretty sure I just need a 3/4" BSP adaptor. Saves me having to deal with the mental neighbours and calling out a plumber and whatever. by IggyWiggamama (Mon 26th Jul 2021 10:51pm)

  • Get the train from Central to Dalmarnock. Takes about 10mins and there'll be loads of Celtic fans going the same way so you can't get lost. When you get to Dalmarnock station after the game the queue will be about a mile long but don't panic. After a short wait they'll let everyone onto the platform and there'll be room for everyone on the next train. You'll be back in the city centre by 5.45pm. by IggyWiggamama (Thu 18th Nov 2021 4:14pm)
