  • My ex has plenty of it... by LordCucumber1996 (Tue 5th May 2020 7:49pm)
  • We had a really bad mouse problem, to cut a long story short we tried humane traps but the problem got too bad and ended up getting rid of about 24 mice using mostly good quality snap traps, we had advice from a proffesional and we had the same problem as you with letting them out, dont take out the steel mesh, also dont just put steel mesh down, even though they struggle to chew through it you dont want them to be able to pull it out, cram steel wool in and then cover in silicone or expanding foam, if you leave it too long like we did they will have babies which is where it will get really bad you need to eliminate all source of food for them, in total we had about 14 snap traps set at one time and dont waste your money on those plug in sound systems they dont work, the main thing you have to remember that we learned is you have to be persistent, even if you havent heard anything for a few days keep putting the traps down, it's been 3 months since we last caught any but we still set the traps, we even noticed at one point after we blocked all the holes we found a couple days later there would be new ones so keep an eye out for that and dont lose hope just keep trying and you'll beat them by LordCucumber1996 (Tue 5th May 2020 8:07pm)
  • I'm a plasterer, still owed £500 from a customer but not asked for it yet due to the lockdown, made sure I have money coming in when this blows over, I do have mates that are continuing to take bookings but personally I'd rather not take the risk. Unfortunately plastering is aesthetically pleasing but not needed lol wish I'd been a spark now haha by LordCucumber1996 (Mon 18th May 2020 1:41pm)
  • Yeah, shall I message him on fb? Thank you also by LordCucumber1996 (Wed 27th May 2020 8:30pm)
  • Nah I don't think so, was more like an Eddie Stoddart truck and only 3 police vehicles for nuclear weapons? I'd imagine that wouldn't be very smart by LordCucumber1996 (Thu 13th Aug 2020 8:21pm)
  • I didnt even think of testing things like the toilet ect.its un furnished and now you've said it ill be sniffing like mad for air freshener lol by LordCucumber1996 (Sat 5th Dec 2020 7:50pm)

  • Yeah this one is one we are worried about but ive heard they legally cant just show up at the door and expect to be let in they have to give written notice first, thats just what I've been told though, although I'd probably let them in if it happened once but not after that by LordCucumber1996 (Sat 5th Dec 2020 8:55pm)
  • Thanks again :) all the info really helps! by LordCucumber1996 (Sat 5th Dec 2020 9:10pm)

  • Yeah I heard loads of them too from London road, I dont follow football, why were fans setting them off? by LordCucumber1996 (Sat 6th Mar 2021 9:19pm)
  • We are in London road near the kfc and mcdonalds and they're constant! And very close, weve got 2 dogs and 2 rabbits. It's so pointless, I think it's something to so with football but it's a pain in the ass by LordCucumber1996 (Sun 7th Mar 2021 7:02pm)
  • I didnt necessarily get stopped but drove uo to car park in the sky m, to get out the house and the police were there fining anyone not from the local area by LordCucumber1996 (Tue 9th Mar 2021 6:11pm)
  • No, I'm not anti vax lol I was telling my gf about it and she said it sounded like a fake story, then I thought for a minute and couldn't actually remember if I read it somewhere or if I just imagined it lol, I could have sworn it was like an nhs scandle from like the 90's or something by LordCucumber1996 (Thu 11th Mar 2021 2:22am)
  • I've just found it lol, my version was slightly different. This was the scandle "More than 500 victims of the NHS contaminated blood scandal have been given permission to sue the government for compensation." "More than 2,400 people are estimated to have died after receiving blood plasma products manufactured in the United States during the 1970s and 1980s. The products were infected with Hepatitis C and HIV." by LordCucumber1996 (Thu 11th Mar 2021 2:28am)
  • ....I'll edit the question to take out the "injection" part of it as it has nothing to do with covid or any other vaccine. I'm not an anti vaxer, this is not an anti van post as anti vax is just stupid. I was genuinely curious about something that happened in nhs history. This wasn't meant to feed into fear and if its caused anyone to think it is, its not what was intended. by LordCucumber1996 (Thu 11th Mar 2021 2:33am)
  • "Well then she chucked me out, so I went to the pond for a swim to calm down, sorry officer." by LordCucumber1996 (Fri 12th Mar 2021 1:15am)

  • It's a one bed flat and there's 2 of us, there's only 3 radiators in the flat and the sun comes through the windows most of the day until about 4-5pm so is pretty warm just now without the heating on by LordCucumber1996 (Sun 21st Mar 2021 4:11pm)
  • We've just moved into a flat with the same set up, we've put the door on the latch a couple of times to move all our stuff upstairs but we lock it again after we are finished moving, it's nice to know a drunk guy can't just come in and pass out in our close lmao, you are in the right here, if they've lost their keys then they should pay to get an extra one by LordCucumber1996 (Sun 21st Mar 2021 6:05pm)

  • True, although after reading it thoroughly, the contravention that has been noted is not the one in question so I might have grounds for challenging it, but I could be wrong, ill give it a go thanks by LordCucumber1996 (Mon 10th May 2021 1:57pm)

  • We looked for 9 months before we found a place, we posted here too and it was the exact same!! We only got our flat in March, don't get me wrong it's a great area and it made it more difficult that I'm self employed and the only earner but we got a nice one on alexandra parade, £700pm. Idk what your budget is but honestly it's just your luck. There's a few I've seen in Duke Street that seam okay and parking isn't terrible if you know where to look. Keep looking I know it seams endless but you'll find one!! by LordCucumber1996 (Mon 16th Aug 2021 8:43pm)

  • I got you, east killbride, Alistair McCoist Complex today and tomorrow 10am-2pm by LordCucumber1996 (Sat 18th Dec 2021 11:12am)
  • For anyone needing the jag quickly but has been turned away or waiting too long, Alistair McCoist Complex is almost empty, from parking my car it took less than 3 minutes to get my 2nd vaccine at the drop in section. by LordCucumber1996 (Sat 18th Dec 2021 12:34pm)
  • I'll take the downvotes to agree with you there. Most road users I come across that have almost caused me to crash have been cyclists. At least twice a day I watch multiple cyclists running red lights or just flat out not following rules of the road. A car parked on the bike lane is shite but go round it and get over it. So many cyclists break road rules and most people get pissed and forget about it. Driving a car, lorry, motorbike, push bike or whatever you're always gonna get arseholes on the road. As long as there's no damage and no one is hurt, get over it and move on. by LordCucumber1996 (Sat 18th Dec 2021 9:58pm)
  • Of course there are more motor accidents than there are bike accidents. There's more cars on the roads than bikes, a lot more! But the point I was trying to make is its not about what mode of transport they're using, its that it doesnt matter because theres always gonna be arseholes, whatever ypu or they are using to get around, get over it and dont let it ruin your day. Especially if it didnt harm you or damage anything but your ego by LordCucumber1996 (Sun 19th Dec 2021 12:36am)
  • Again, my logic is it doesn't matter what they're, using. A car, a bike, a lorry etc. There's always going to be arseholes on the road, if it doesn't cause any harm/damage to you or anyone else, move on and get over it. I've had more bad experiences with cyclists than other car drivers but I'm not saying drivers of cars are much better, that's just my personal experience with it. by LordCucumber1996 (Sun 19th Dec 2021 9:27am)
  • I dont highlight that because I very rarely see drivers running red lights. Even when it's been red for a while they just go right through without a care. But I'm not gonna post about it every time it happens. Doesn't matter how slowly ypu run a red light, or how safely you do it. It's breaking the law regardless there's, yes it's more risky but doesn't mean the rules don't apply to them. by LordCucumber1996 (Sun 19th Dec 2021 9:30am)
  • I never said people need to agree with me, in fact I'm pretty sure in my first comment I made it clear I understood that most wouldn't agree, hence the downvotes, which I'm fine with. I didnt get over it because there's nothing to get over in my situation, I was providing a solution and my opinion. he could have just looked to his right, wait for no cars or a gap and go round, he doesn't have to swerve onto the road making it dangerous. it's only dangerous if he puts himself in a dangerous situation, but as long as he checks before turning out onto the road it's safe enough. How can you call it harm when no harm has been done? That's like saying "I'm in an emergency because I MIGHT get stabbed" regardless of what "might" happen, it hasn't. So no harm has been done. by LordCucumber1996 (Sun 19th Dec 2021 1:01pm)

  • This can be a huge pain, I did work for a German guy once...worst choice I've ever made! Not because he wasn't friendly or anything, but because his friend that translated wasn't always around or available, so if there's a problem or something needs done or fixed urgently, language barriers are a nightmare! by LordCucumber1996 (Mon 2nd Jan 2023 10:33am)
  • Most diverse you've worked at but you can name every trade you've seen that isn't a white male? Yup sure sounds like a very diverse environment lol. I can't see your original comment but it looks like you thought more people would agree with you and now you're on the defensive but you're too far in now so I say just stop commenting and save yourself the downvotes. by LordCucumber1996 (Mon 2nd Jan 2023 10:39am)

I'm 26 and about 35% of all tradies I've worked with/for haven't been white. Also I didnt downvote you, I dont agree with you but its your opinion and your entitled to it by LordCucumber1996 (Mon 2nd Jan 2023 11:00am)

  • Obviously it depends on what kind of people you are but we like supercube, the karaoke bar on Bath Street. Can be as loud as we want just the two of us, although go on a quiet night as I'm sure they normally have a minimum of 3 by LordCucumber1996 (Tue 27th Jun 2023 5:11pm)
  • Not sure how far you're willing to go but my fiancé and I love going fossil hunting on some beaches, just do a quick Google first of wheres best/closest to you. Dog can enjoy the water and depending on where you go there's some cool caves/rock formations. As a kid I know I loved that kind of thing at least! by LordCucumber1996 (Sat 8th Jul 2023 10:51am)

  • They seem pretty achievable but I think I'd be missing one of the options for it due to my lack of highers in that subject. But I'll give the colleges a call tomorrow too! Thank you for the suggestions by LordCucumber1996 (Fri 4th Aug 2023 11:18pm)
  • Thank you so much! I'm looking into this now and a couple other suggestions along with calling into the colleges for clearing courses. Thank you! I'll probably pick your brains tomorrow when I'm back at the library to study lol by LordCucumber1996 (Fri 4th Aug 2023 11:15pm)
  • At this point it's as if they've to follow s script, give you a couple of leaflets on how to deal with stress, anxiety and depressions, and then you don't hear anything from them again in any times of need. Even getting someone sectioned for their own safety is just not do able anymore. Nhs is an absolute joke. I hope you are able to go private as you'll find it much easier to deal with and that stress relief alone of knowing you'll have the help if/when you need it can take a huge weight off your shoulders. Rather than anxiously waiting with no answer if you'll receive help or not! I sincerely hope you find the help you need OP and if no one else picks up to talk, feel free to message myself or I'm sure multiple other people on this sub, even if its just to lend an ear to vent . Stay strong 💪 by LordCucumber1996 (Mon 7th Aug 2023 12:57am)
