  • Oh no... I'd be tempted to do it myself, but I think they need to be taken out to do it properly so that won't be possible. Thanks for the heads up, though. If I do find someone and if they do a good job I will get back to you 🙏 by MajorAutistJr (Fri 1st Apr 2022 11:08am)
  • Ooh I will have a lookie, thanks a lot! by MajorAutistJr (Fri 1st Apr 2022 12:14pm)
  • Thank you. Same! It was unbearable before secondary glazing and couldn't afford getting new like-for-like double glazed sash windows, so I went for secondary glazing as well. The problem is that the paint has been peeling and while it hasn't rotted yet, I'd like to protect them as much as I can, as I don't want to end up having to replace all three of them 😬 by MajorAutistJr (Fri 1st Apr 2022 12:14pm)
  • Pretty much identical situation here. Do you mind me asking how much it cost you per window? I'll give them a call soon, and they will probably want to see them in person, but I don't want to look/sound shocked 😅 by MajorAutistJr (Fri 1st Apr 2022 12:35pm)
  • Thank you so much, this is exactly what I was looking for. Will get in touch with them and see how soon I can get it done 🙏 by MajorAutistJr (Fri 1st Apr 2022 12:53pm)
  • Oh wow! What a difference! Also loving the stained glass 😍 Gorgeous! by MajorAutistJr (Fri 1st Apr 2022 1:33pm)
  • Yes! Greenhall Farm - not quite in Glasgow, but 15 mins or so drive away. They do Wagyu steaks but you'd better check on their FB page or call them to see if they have any left before making the trip. Ribeye is my personal favourite. As for cooking tips: The most important thing is to leave it out for at least 3 hours (depending on temperature in your house of course) but the meat needs to be at room temperature. Shop-bought instructions always say 10 minutes which is really not enough time... Pat it dry (both sides) Salt it. Ideally get a cast iron pan and use the biggest flame you have on your cooker for about 5 minutes, until the pan is smoking. Add a tiny bit of butter or sunflower oil to the pan. Throw the steak in, sear each side for 1 minute if you like it blue/rare or more. Let it rest for 5 minutes. If you like well done ignore everything I've said as I have no tips for you 😅 by MajorAutistJr (Fri 1st Apr 2022 5:07pm)
  • There is one around the corner from the Fireworks shop towards Innovation Centre (or whatever it is called these days) that does breakfast. 1 Ainslie Road I think by MajorAutistJr (Fri 27th May 2022 12:02pm)
  • Yep, I will definitely do that, good idea 🙏 Thank you by MajorAutistJr (Thu 23rd Jun 2022 9:56pm)
  • Cheers. That sounds about right, actually. A few of the flats have been occupied by multiple students recently and I am not sure if they share a living room or have their own TVs in each room. Tempted to try the indoor signal boosters, hmmm by MajorAutistJr (Thu 23rd Jun 2022 10:41pm)

  • Glasgow City Council. How do I report noisy neighbours? Our officers are here seven nights a week from 5pm until 3am. You can contact them for advice during these hours by calling 0141 287 6688. You can also register a complaint by using our online form. Even if you don't get immediate relief, they will put him on record. You can also ask other neighbours to do the same. Maybe if they get enough complaints they will do something about it. Put those council taxes to good use 🙌 by MajorAutistJr (Sun 30th Jul 2023 12:43pm)
