  • Yeah but even then, drunk Londoners aren't as nice, I think that's what makes Glasgow such a great night out by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 5:26pm)
  • Yup, I've heard a lot of yous use that analogy by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 5:24pm)
  • Well at least he said sorry by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 5:30pm)
  • I've just had a look through your comments and with all due respect I think you might be the cunt by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 5:42pm)
  • Massive compliment in my eyes by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 5:45pm)
  • Iconic that by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 5:53pm)
  • True! I'd give Liverpool a close second to Glasgow, and Newcastle is also deffo up there by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 5:52pm)
  • Best believe I'll obviously be visiting London, and I'll always have a lot of love for it, but no way am I living here again by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 6:24pm)
  • Cairo is an absolute shitter. The pyramids are unbelievable of course but the city is awful. Sharm el sheikh is probably my favourite place in the Middle East by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 6:22pm)
  • Mashallah brother, I have no interest in football so I think I'm safe. This is also the most cohesive answer to the question I've found, and it makes sense. I came from a similarly poverty stricken village in Egypt, and I've never felt more at home than in Glasgow :) by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 7:04pm)
  • To a lesser extent I suppose, Manny is pretty similar to London, mainly in terms of prices. I'd say Liverpool is the Glasgow of England, and Manny is the Edinburgh by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 7:02pm)
  • Love it by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 7:07pm)
  • Glasgow's already pretty small so that'll be interesting by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 7:07pm)
  • I've found this to be the general consensus by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 7:05pm)
  • It also stinks of poo by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 9:42pm)
  • I think I might need to re-learn English though by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 9:48pm)
  • I'll see you there pal :) by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 9:47pm)
  • You betcha ;) by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 9:47pm)
  • Thanks so much for the answer. I definetely agree at least to an extent just base don personal experience. I've got quite a working class English accent having learned the language in cockney primarily, and I was expecting that to have a huge effect on how people treated me, because I always thought Scots would immediately take a dislike to me for sounding English. Turns out I was dead wrong, and I actually felt awful for how ignorant I was, and how little credit I had given you guys by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 9:46pm)
  • I think he means that a significant number of people in Edinburgh are tourists at all points. Like if you were to ask someone in Edinburgh where they're from, they're likely to be a tourist/student rather than a born and bred Edinburghian. Not saying I agree, but I think that's what he's saying by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 10:48pm)
  • Big love my guy by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 10:52pm)
  • It's alright bro, English isn't my first language so I'm tryna hang in there, good to experience some o' the lingo before I head over lol by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 10:55pm)
  • This is bollocks man, I'll meet people on nights who insist on buying me drinks because they can see I'm not from the city, and they want to make my experience great. That kind of thing has never happened in London, and it's a regularity in glasgow. They're not trying to 'find my weaknesses' I'm not a fucking pokemon, we're literally never going to see each other again, so they have absoloutely no reason to be kind, yet they still do, and expect nothing in return. If that's not pure class and friendliness then I don't know what is by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 11:02pm)
  • Is a sprog a child? by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 11:08pm)
  • I think there's a fine line between being nosy and curious, and Glaswegians fit comfortably on the 'curious' side, which I find incredibly endearing and charming. Hey man, I'm not attacking you, I understand that no city is everybody's type, perhaps it's just not for you innit by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 11:12pm)
  • Never heard that one before, and I've been there a fair bit. Good to know, but I'm not sure how common this is anymore by MassiveDan (Sat 9th Jul 2022 11:09pm)
  • No way by MassiveDan (Sun 10th Jul 2022 1:56am)
  • Definitely noticed the whole cunt thing. I try not to swear often, but it doesn't even feel like swearing up there by MassiveDan (Sun 10th Jul 2022 12:22pm)
  • Awh shite my bad by MassiveDan (Sun 10th Jul 2022 12:20pm)
  • see you there brother :) by MassiveDan (Sun 10th Jul 2022 4:08pm)
  • Yeah, yet to see it in person so that'll be interesting by MassiveDan (Sun 10th Jul 2022 4:08pm)
  • Ok, yes, true Admittedly, this is the one thing London does so much better. Transport is a lot worse in Glasgow, London has such great and convenient transportation, and that's probably what I'll miss the most by MassiveDan (Sun 10th Jul 2022 4:07pm)
  • Well I'm living there soon innit by MassiveDan (Sun 10th Jul 2022 4:05pm)
  • I'm moving to the west end. Love it there by MassiveDan (Sun 10th Jul 2022 8:46pm)
  • Every time I visit i always end up in the garage. Cheap drinks, great vibes, lovely people, and a wonderful area by MassiveDan (Tue 12th Jul 2022 12:51am)
