  • Morning All, I'm putting the kettle on if anyone wants one 😁. Not much on today, going to head down to my local junior football match later, usually good banter and pies and the waens get to have kick about at the side of the park. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Sat 6th Apr 2019 7:56am)
  • It depends what you're in to. I'm not a fan of the the West End, find it too pretentious but other commenter is correct less likelihood of trouble. I just find the city centre more honest, more down to earth and I've also found you only find trouble if you're looking for it. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Wed 10th Apr 2019 11:18pm)
  • Been ages since I've up there, did Campus shut down? by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Wed 15th May 2019 6:46pm)
  • Had too much to drink last night so can't drive for a while, would love to go out for a walk in the countryside and clear the cobwebs but there's not really anywhere within walking distance. I like where I live but times like this make me wish I lived in a more rural area. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Sun 26th May 2019 8:26am)

  • I seen a video a few days ago of an SNP Councillor playing a drum at a Republican walk. To be fair, I haven't verified it but if true then it's no different. Just to be clear, I have no allegiance to either. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Mon 29th Jul 2019 12:15am)
  • I'll try, can't even remember where I saw it but might've been through an acquaintance on Facebook. Happy to be proved wrong if it's false. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Mon 29th Jul 2019 12:41am)
  • Just looked it up, the article was from 2017 and he was a candidate at the time, not an actual councillor https://www.heraldscotland.com/news/15102373.revealed-picture-of-snp-candidate-on-pro-ira-march/ No idea what happened to him. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Mon 29th Jul 2019 12:45am)

  • I haven't heard of the Tony's stuff before. It's a shame there's no tablet there, essential part of the Scottish diet lol. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Wed 14th Aug 2019 5:43pm)
  • If you're near an Asda they do them, not sure about local shops, oh and get some macaroon while you're at it. Not the same as French macarons, these are a kind of white fondant covered in toasted coconut. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Wed 14th Aug 2019 5:46pm)
  • You would get it in any shop that sells sweets probably. Mrs Tilly's personally isn't my favourite but it's the most common and it would do just fine. Tablet is very sweet by the way. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Wed 14th Aug 2019 5:57pm)
  • Be pretty hard for them to see over the steering wheel though. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Fri 30th Aug 2019 10:35pm)

  • I was going to ask the same thing the other day. I don't use IKEA very often mainly because of location so have never done click and collect and wondered if that was an option instead? by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Sat 11th Jul 2020 11:12am)
  • They're delivery is about £40 I think even if it's only 1 item which it would be and we'd probably only be spending about £50. I might be reading it wrong but i thought click and collect was free. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Sat 11th Jul 2020 11:44am)
  • Yeah did read it wrong thanks, dpd point sounds good though. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Sat 11th Jul 2020 12:06pm)

  • I'm really interested in this, I've been wanting to try African cuisine for a while now and there's a couple of places mentioned here that are only a 15min drive away. OH doesn't like spicy food though so will need to avoid those dishes. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Wed 22nd Jul 2020 9:10pm)
  • Had a horrendous time with Sky and one of the many issues was broadband kept cutting out. A constant joy when you've got an 11 year old in the middle of a fifa match. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Tue 28th Jul 2020 2:47pm)
  • Just tried to click on the map for it but it's saying admin site can't connect. Does anyone know if that means it's down or is it my mobile that won't open it? by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Mon 3rd Aug 2020 8:42am)
  • Yeah I'll try later. Got a bike out the back that needs a new outer wheel, I've got the inner tube sitting there so I'm hoping that's something I could take advantage of. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Mon 3rd Aug 2020 9:01am)

  • I agree, madness to try and jump in and I can get someone filming in case something happens but this comes across as voyeuristic. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Fri 9th Oct 2020 5:39pm)
  • β˜οΈπŸ‘πŸ‘ by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Tue 27th Oct 2020 7:56am)
  • They look pretty authentic by the way. The one at the back left looks a wee bit well fired, they're my favourite. Mcghee's are the good rolls around my way and they look just like that. Good job πŸ‘ by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Fri 30th Oct 2020 2:47am)
  • Me too but I'm sure I heard recently they've tightened up parking there. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Thu 5th Nov 2020 8:25pm)
  • My mum is one of the people who've benefited from the Connect Scotland funding. She was given a brand new iPad to keep to help her stay in touch with other people. She is struggling with it because she doesn't know the first thing about the internet but she's already made 5 facetime calls and her spirits are up already. It's been a great thing for her. A local support group want to set up zoom calls and online classes too. I think she's a bit overwhelmed by zoom though lol. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Tue 17th Nov 2020 4:31pm)
  • I'm considering it too. It's really more of an echo chamber for Indy supporters (of which I am btw) but I thought it was going to be general stuff about the country. Would be good to have a separate politics one. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Fri 4th Dec 2020 8:11am)
  • Ah good to know thanks. It's a shame that was rebuffed. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Fri 4th Dec 2020 12:06pm)
  • Don't forget standing side on with one leg bent inwards, works best in a group photo when they all do it. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Sat 26th Dec 2020 11:23am)
  • I like my January birthday, usually go out for a meal or an overnight. It's never busy and a bit cheaper. I reckon would be really depressing without it. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Tue 12th Jan 2021 11:57am)
  • I never knew about this will definitely check it regularly. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Wed 13th Jan 2021 10:32pm)

  • Have you ever tried the online CIA test? You'd be good at that 😁. You have to try and figure out a location based on clues in a picture. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Tue 30th Mar 2021 10:41am)

  • Going up in style too. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Fri 30th Apr 2021 7:59am)
  • Feel like it's gradually getting worse on there. Total echo chamber with barely any grown up debate. Just mud slinging and narrow mindedness. You can't persuade people to your way of thinking by insulting them and alienating them. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Sun 9th May 2021 9:23pm)
  • I'm Lanarkshire, was able to reschedule mine online. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Tue 25th May 2021 12:21pm)

  • Only thing is you need to book online. We tried to book on Friday for Saturday but there was nothing available. Managed to get into the Hunterian museum and gallery though. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Sun 8th Aug 2021 11:13am)
  • Been told that a lot of drivers have gone to Just Eat and given up their taxi licence. We're having the same in our area. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Tue 31st Aug 2021 5:36pm)

  • I know of two 16yr olds having problems with it. Won't accept their ID or is asking for more ID. It should be an easy enough process. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Mon 4th Oct 2021 9:15pm)
  • Look for Blantyre Telegraph on Facebook, they had several properties to rent on it yesterday. Trains and buses into Glasgow every 20 minutes. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Tue 12th Oct 2021 7:56am)
  • I've no idea why you're being downvoted for stating a fact. Ask I missing something? by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Wed 27th Oct 2021 5:01pm)
  • I'd lead with that by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Tue 16th Nov 2021 7:56pm)
  • Some areas aren't allowing you to move just now. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Wed 24th Nov 2021 7:06am)
  • Second for Corinthian. One of my favourites, used to be an old courthouse I believe. Beautiful ceilings inside. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Fri 26th Nov 2021 2:19pm)
  • Took 2 days for us end of last week. This was in Hamilton though. Test centre was much busier than the last time I was there. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Mon 6th Dec 2021 4:28pm)
  • I'm in South Lanarkshire and there's no appointments available in 4 centres near me right through to mid Feb. I've been checking every day. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Sun 12th Dec 2021 4:50pm)
  • Think I might need to resort to that. Apparently they release new appointments weekly so I keep checking but no joy. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Sun 12th Dec 2021 5:07pm)
  • Mine are EK, Hamilton, Rutherglen and Airdrie. Spoke to someone earlier though who managed to get booked at the end of the month fine. I'm starting to think the appointments for next month maybe aren't out yet. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Sun 12th Dec 2021 10:09pm)

  • Sorry to hear, that's rubbish, you're the fourth person I've heard of that's had a positive result today. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Sat 25th Dec 2021 8:23pm)
  • I was going to post something similar soon. My usual Saturday night consists of drinking with OH in the house but we're trying to stop that now and limit it to just nights out. Would be nice to be able to go for a wee run instead and pop in somewhere for a snack or soft drink. My friend feels the same and I was struggling to find somewhere that we could just meet up for a cuppa on a Fri or Sat night. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Mon 14th Feb 2022 9:58am)
  • Is olio only available on the Apple Store? Can't find it on Google Play. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Tue 8th Mar 2022 10:22pm)
  • Got it thanks. Had the search bar set at 'movies' forgot about that 🀦‍♀️ by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Wed 9th Mar 2022 6:08am)
  • I'd love to do this but I get shin splints every time I try ☹️. Just using standard Nike trainers. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Fri 22nd Apr 2022 6:51pm)
  • Thanks I was stretching before but probably not enough. I'll have a look online for a really good stretch. I enjoyed the running but all the advice online said not to push past shin splints so I stopped. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Fri 22nd Apr 2022 9:28pm)
  • I really don't understand where all the hostility comes from, it's honestly embarrassing. So folk want to know about their heritage and they might be seeing it through rose tinted glasses, big deal, have a chat with them point out the reality from their perception, everybody's happy and we've all been nice to each other. Don't trash someone then tell them to "lighten up" and they "don't get our patter" when they get upset about it. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Mon 25th Apr 2022 9:41pm)
  • OP doesn't drive unfortunately. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Fri 29th Apr 2022 8:00am)

  • I've seen quite a lot of people say this about the BBC app but it's genuinely not been my experience. I've found it consistently the most reliable. It's been spot on today. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Sat 21st May 2022 2:10pm)
  • You could try Deja Elite in Hamilton, just along from the racecourse. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Sat 21st May 2022 7:10pm)

  • I've been a few times now and never seen queues as bad as that. Seen a couple of people say on their Facebook page that one of the security companies pulled out at the last minute so that could be why. Definitely wasn't enough security. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Mon 11th Jul 2022 10:29pm)
  • Half an hr to get in on Sunday, still longer than I've ever experienced, never been longer than 10mins with security checks. Didn't help there wasn't enough security. Saw a bunch of around 20 folk just rock up next to the front barrier and join the queue without waiting. Loads of others doing it too. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Tue 12th Jul 2022 12:13pm)

  • Just heard there was some battling going on last night but didn't see anything about it myself. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Sun 17th Jul 2022 6:14pm)
  • It's a bit rubbish for guys. I noticed this last week when we went shopping for my partner. New Look used to have a men's section but it's only online now. A lot of shops had rubbish choice or everything was slim fit, which wasn't what he was looking for so we really struggled. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Wed 30th Nov 2022 10:18am)
  • Room at the Top was great when it first opened, then it moved venue and went downhill. Jackie-Os in Kirkcaldy was another, probably been shut for years though. by Meanz_Beanz_Heinz (Sat 10th Dec 2022 7:44am)
