  • What uni are you going to? If GU I recommend Woodlands area as it is close to your uni and the Kelvingrove Park which is awesome. You will have to pay a bit more than average prices of Glasgow but still you can find flats for less than most student accommodations are. by Murffi (Wed 20th May 2020 9:08am)
  • rightmove.co.uk is a good site for flats. Search 'Glasgow West End' or so and check from Google Maps how far they are from your uni etc. I lived on Dunearn Street last year and I know the flats around are in good knick. Great Western Road is a nice road with lots of bars cafes etc, but I wouldnt want to live on it as it is noisy. Good luck! by Murffi (Wed 20th May 2020 10:04am)
  • Take a walk to west end and go see Kelvin Walkway, it's my favourite place in the city! by Murffi (Tue 29th Sep 2020 8:40pm)
  • Could belong to one of the skaters that are so often there. Maybe go put a couple notes around the museum saying you've found it, if you don't live too far out. by Murffi (Sun 28th Mar 2021 8:45pm)
  • Right here! I admitted to myself I was depressed around last Christmas and since then I've had better and worse times. Moved back home to Finland for a while in the spring time but since getting back to Glasgow my depression has been getting worse again. It's the damn autumn.. Have the absolute privilege to talk to a therapist through uni for free, but I am also going to phone the NHS this or next week in the hopes of getting a medication on. Upwards and onwards! by Murffi (Wed 10th Nov 2021 9:14pm)
  • I don't have personal experience, but the PT's at Charing Cross's PureGym seem like absolute sweethearts and they come in different shapes and sizes. Hope you find someone nice and good luck with you exercising! by Murffi (Wed 27th Apr 2022 12:03am)
  • Check out Tribal Pulse on Facebook. They put on some nice events quite frequently these days and the crowd is often a bunch of very nice folks. Also, as was pointed out Resident Advisor is a good site to keep track of. La Cheetah is the best venue imo. by Murffi (Fri 13th May 2022 12:18pm)
  • Plenty people are now going from owning flats to having to rent flats due to interest rates. Rent prices are only gonna get worse.. by Murffi (Thu 29th Dec 2022 11:36pm)
  • Blue Dog is nice by Murffi (Fri 7th Apr 2023 8:16pm)
  • The lawn bowling green next to Kelvingrove Art Museum is free to use! You'll just have to book it in advance. If it's good weather that could be lovely and if not you can just go to Kelvingrove Art Museum and grab a dinner somewhere nearby. Although quite pricey, Gloriosa is a lovely restaurant nearby! by Murffi (Tue 12th Sep 2023 10:07am)
