  • There’s a 24hour one on sauchiehall street by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Mon 6th Jun 2022 7:16pm)
  • Sorry I thought there was, this was recently as my boyfriend and I went there looking for work and they had a sign and it was really late. If it wasn’t 24h it was still late tho 🤷‍♀️ by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Tue 7th Jun 2022 8:23am)
  • It’s so disappointing isn’t it. I remember when glasGo started up it was great. I used to pre book on the app for my nights out and without fail they were there waiting for me. Recently, due to the punctuality of them, I booked them to get to buchanan bus station and they never showed up and said I was in the queue. When I needed them the most! Ran for the train and nearly missed my bus because of it. I then booked them after another night out and I sat on my own in the cold at 3am for 45 mins with no taxi even linked in, I ended up caving in and just paying over the odds for an Uber. I don’t know what the answer is by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Wed 8th Jun 2022 8:29pm)
  • Thank you. I’m sure it’ll be fine. Sure it won’t come to that but useful to know by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Sat 2nd Jul 2022 2:05am)

  • Yes, updated post , thank you by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Sat 2nd Jul 2022 11:23am)
  • I thought the same. I’ve always been charged £2.65 . Is this the maximum? by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Sat 2nd Jul 2022 8:03pm)
  • Gumtree, auto trader or Facebook marketplace are the options I’m aware of by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Sun 3rd Jul 2022 5:08pm)
  • Yeah it is just the one - and no risk I’ll be making the same mistake again. I remember similar happening to me years ago when I parked under the Kingston bridge . I ignored it and the letters got more threatening but it just stopped eventually, wasn’t sure if the court case had changed it all though by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Tue 5th Jul 2022 1:11pm)
  • Prívate fines? Surely it isn’t worth their while for a private to take you to court over something under £200? by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Wed 6th Jul 2022 3:17pm)
  • Can I ask why the council ones don’t need to prove who was driving but the private ones do? by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Wed 6th Jul 2022 8:24pm)
  • No idea why your comments are being downvoted - I’m with you! by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Fri 8th Jul 2022 11:36pm)
  • That’s what I thought. Also from the clips I heard sounded pretty different music wise from what I’d have expected from BN (read slow and housey/discoey) by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Mon 11th Jul 2022 9:47pm)
  • Let me know if you find out ! by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Fri 15th Jul 2022 12:41pm)

  • Thanks , just such a long drawn out process! by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Wed 3rd Aug 2022 1:34pm)
  • Great thank you. Are they likely to have any reluctance to change a reasonable amount of them? by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Tue 11th Oct 2022 8:56am)
  • Sorry, I meant they’re unlikely to accept the Scottish notes in Mexico by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Tue 11th Oct 2022 10:04am)
  • It’s not Euros it’s Mexican pesos by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Tue 11th Oct 2022 10:03am)
  • Really good suggestion thank you! by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Tue 11th Oct 2022 10:12am)
  • Amazing thanks by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Tue 11th Oct 2022 10:37am)
  • And why wouldn’t they accept English bank notes? Cash is huge in Mexico and it’s standard practice to exchange notes there by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Tue 11th Oct 2022 10:36am)
  • He’s not wanting to change it in Mexico right away due to the bad exchange rate, but realised that they prob won’t even accept Scottish notes, so he’s looking to get the English notes then exchange them if/when it picks up a bit (he’s going over for several months) by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Tue 11th Oct 2022 10:35am)
  • All fair points, was an early morning Quick post but didn’t want to get lost in the detail too much- just to know the best options for getting English notes really. But it seems the bank and withdrawing from Barclays etc are all goers so theres options! by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Tue 11th Oct 2022 10:43am)
  • He leaves today unfortunately! But these cards have always been notoriously difficult to withdraw cash in Mexico in my experience Might be worth looking into but not sure they can issue a card on the day though by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Tue 11th Oct 2022 10:45am)
  • I normally give them a pound or 2 as I know it’s a tough job. I’m also on the third floor and feel terrible when see them arriving with the food out of breath by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Sun 23rd Oct 2022 6:39pm)
  • Would be terrified to drink on Saracen street 😂 by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Wed 26th Oct 2022 9:36pm)
  • This is what I’ve heard and it sounds unbearable. Just wondered if this was the way of it across all the cottages or if it’s just those type of builds ? by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Thu 27th Oct 2022 1:12pm)
  • It’s definitely clear that Croft foot/kings park is a no no. Are there no decent cottages that are better built anywhere else in the city? Or is this just the way of it? by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Thu 27th Oct 2022 1:11pm)
  • That’s brutal 😩😩😩 by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Thu 27th Oct 2022 1:24pm)
  • Absolute madness !! by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Thu 27th Oct 2022 2:38pm)
  • Which area /type of building? by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Thu 27th Oct 2022 6:24pm)
  • Yeah this is what I was thinking! The ones In moss park seem to be completely different built (older ?) but as you can see from the comments, the cardonald/Croft foot ones seem awful by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Thu 27th Oct 2022 10:12pm)
  • I don’t think I can claim UC if I am technically employed? Or can I ? by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Sat 31st Dec 2022 12:41pm)
  • Thanks so much. Genuinely hadn’t thought of this and had been so worried at how I’d cope with no income at all. Sorry if I appear ignorant - have never navigated the benefits system before ! by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Sat 31st Dec 2022 1:06pm)
  • Thank you so much. I know how ignorant I must appear but genuinely assumed that because I had a FT job to go to which is above the thresholds for benefits that I wouldn’t be eligible for any help. I used the calculator based on being employed (statutory leave) which I assume is correct, and it seems I can get UC, child benefit and another child payment. The council tax appears to be a reduction so you just pay the water and sewerage charges alone. Feeling less stressed now! by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Sat 31st Dec 2022 1:46pm)
  • Thank you so much! When I made the post I really thought it was just a case of trying to get my CT reduced but I now see that I’m likely to be able to get wider benefits which seem to include the CT reduction. Wasn’t sure if SMP would be included for UC but from what you say seems that it is, since it is just me so household income would be 0! I had been wondering if I would need to return to work earlier since I’d have no money but seems I can stay off a bit longer, yippee! by Old_Blacksmith_2138 (Sat 31st Dec 2022 4:05pm)
