  • Yeah I’ll need to alter my CV that’s a good starting point. I’m seeing a few “apprenticeships” for IT based jobs online but unsure wether they are scams or not as they are asking for money do to the course. This is all new to me. Thanks. by PachaFerrera (Thu 12th Dec 2019 11:19am)
  • Thank you! Yes I’ll have a look into the OU I did already sign up so I could look at available courses they have been sending me emails so maybe it’s time I just took the plunge guess it’s the unknown that’s a bit scary. by PachaFerrera (Thu 12th Dec 2019 1:02pm)
  • Not something I had thought about doing/know much about but I’ll have a look into it. by PachaFerrera (Thu 12th Dec 2019 1:00pm)
  • I’m not really sure although I have been looking at something IT based / design / marketing or something along those lines I really just need away from childcare. Hard when that’s all I know & that’s where the money is for me for now. Such a tricky situation. by PachaFerrera (Thu 12th Dec 2019 1:09pm)
  • Thank you. I’m glad that you are enjoying your job. I’m going to have a look into night courses see what my options are. by PachaFerrera (Thu 12th Dec 2019 1:14pm)
  • That sounds good perhaps that will enable you to go on and study other forms of therapy too. Yes I will look and see what the course options are for there I guess I didn’t really consider a night course until now. Hard to juggle work/money/baby balance as it is but that could work for me. Thanks for your advice. by PachaFerrera (Thu 12th Dec 2019 1:18pm)
  • Really? That actually doesn’t surprise me about the experience I know of people who have been at uni for years and had to wait ages for a job. Luckily I have a job just now so will be able to continue doing that in the mean time. Many thanks. by PachaFerrera (Thu 12th Dec 2019 1:16pm)
  • Thank you so much I’ll have a look into it. I’ll definitely need to do an access course if I’m thinking of uni so this sounds perfect! by PachaFerrera (Thu 12th Dec 2019 10:11pm)
  • That’s great! Did you do your access course/uni full time? Good on you qualifying as a nurse I come from a family of nurses, you guys do an absolutely amazing job.😊Thank you for all your hard work. by PachaFerrera (Thu 12th Dec 2019 10:21pm)
  • That’s great! Thanks for your advice. I’m going to look into it now sounds ideal especially as I’m not 100% on what I’m wanting to do. by PachaFerrera (Thu 12th Dec 2019 10:49pm)
  • That’s amazing! Yes I’ve thought about it for a few years just not had the guts to do it but now I feel like I definitely need a change. I’ve been thinking something IT based although I think I’ll need to really sit down and think what I would enjoy doing. by PachaFerrera (Thu 12th Dec 2019 10:45pm)

  • Always the ice cream van. by PachaFerrera (Sat 22nd Feb 2020 3:21pm)
  • Hold the bus I can confirm it ***was*** the sound of an ice cream van that distinctive tinkle is never misheard even over the top of the howling wind. “Selling all sorts of shite” aye ok pal let’s not try and ruin a positive thing on this wet and dreary day. The fish van is the only other kind of van around here that sells stuff ^(fish) and that’s more of an abrupt horn rather than an actual song played. Many thanks for your input on the post though. by PachaFerrera (Sat 22nd Feb 2020 3:21pm)

  • Thats reassuring! I’m totally open to different ideas as I don’t actually know what I want to do just need a total change up something exciting and new. I feel I would understand a bit better doing an apprenticeship rather than studying the whole time eg, uni as things stick better with me when doing things practically. Do you recon I would just email companies then to see if they are taking anyone on? There isn’t many actual apprentice job applications available in Glasgow at the moment. by PachaFerrera (Wed 18th Nov 2020 9:48pm)

  • Haha you have to be joking me?! I get woken up regularly by people having work done at obscene hours in the morning that goes on all day, and I don’t complain. Whats an hour of a generator running to get my car cleaned. My neighbours and myself have a good relationship I’m sure if they had a problem they could come and address it with me personally. Probably think before you comment next time you’ve just made yourself look like a pure naggy busybody. Merry Christmas to you. by PachaFerrera (Mon 21st Dec 2020 11:43am)

  • Not food but I have over 6 foot sunflowers that still keep growing and haven’t even flowered yet I planted them in a wee sunny spot about Easter time as well as heaps of wildflowers. For the wild flowers I buy the wee seed shake and rake boxes from Aldi that are for sale around Easter and I can definitely recommend as so many people compliment my garden and it’s so simple (just make sure to remember to water). by PachaFerrera (Tue 3rd Aug 2021 10:25am)

  • Yeah I mean I’m probably not as bothered as I thought I would be, he’s always been a super friendly cat so not surprised he’s managing to wangle food elsewhere, they have kids slightly older than mine so maybe he’s enjoying hanging out with them as my wee one is still at the stage of trying to pull his tail etc. Although I did find it strange as she did tell me before she’s allergic to cats, but I guess if he’s feeling comfortable and safe there who am I to judge… by PachaFerrera (Tue 12th Apr 2022 1:37pm)
  • He will always be back for dinner time and bedtime, I had no idea he was leading a double life!! I do worry he will end up overweight if he’s getting more food in between his usual meals. I’ll probably need to speak with her regarding the feeding. by PachaFerrera (Tue 12th Apr 2022 1:54pm)

  • He’s an average (to big) size but I’ll defo weigh him and keep an eye on this thanks for info. by PachaFerrera (Tue 12th Apr 2022 1:58pm)
  • That’s sweet though that the cat likes to hang out with them. We do have another cat who is elderly and just likes peace and quiet to sleep so she just minds her own business and doesn’t feel the need to go galavanting. by PachaFerrera (Tue 12th Apr 2022 1:57pm)
  • I have recently wormed and flea treated him as I’ve another elderly cat so I do them regularly so I’m not sure it’s that although you would think so the amount he eats - 1.5 pouches wet per meal and dry crunchies in a bowl on the side (although he doesn’t tend to eat much of them). by PachaFerrera (Tue 12th Apr 2022 2:04pm)
  • I know maybe I just have to accept that. by PachaFerrera (Tue 12th Apr 2022 2:00pm)
  • I did think a bit weird because she mentioned to me before about being allergic surely you couldn’t sleep in a bed with a cat if you had allergies. by PachaFerrera (Tue 12th Apr 2022 2:05pm)
  • Thanks for everyone’s comments just back in and getting through them all, he’s here and eaten his (presumably) second dinner with me I can’t help but looking at me as if he’s cheating on me… by PachaFerrera (Tue 12th Apr 2022 6:49pm)

  • Aw this is so nice and tugged at my heart strings reading this, I never saw it this way from their perspective. However if he did decide he wants to live there I think he would have to make that decision - it’s us or them. by PachaFerrera (Tue 12th Apr 2022 8:32pm)
  • Haha by PachaFerrera (Tue 12th Apr 2022 8:39pm)

  • No we don’t but interesting to know that this happens a lot. by PachaFerrera (Tue 12th Apr 2022 8:43pm)
  • Not jealous but just feel a bit bummed since I’ve been the one to raise him and this is the way he thanks me - cheating on me when my back is turned haha makes me feel like my love, cuddles, treats, toys and Amazon monthly food subscription just isn’t enough. by PachaFerrera (Tue 12th Apr 2022 8:47pm)
  • See we are lucky as we have another neighbour who catsits for us when we go away, we know them very well and they know our cats too but they would never feed them in their own home. by PachaFerrera (Tue 12th Apr 2022 8:51pm)

  • Go to a Internet cafe and make a CV you can get templates online with all your experience and the fact you have been travelling counts as life experience. Then start applying for jobs online. You can look into the HSBC bank option or tell employers that you haven’t got a bank at the moment. Good luck 🀞🏽 by PachaFerrera (Sun 24th Apr 2022 10:33am)

  • Pot holes! Why are the council spending time and money resurfacing roads that don’t need it as much as others I’ve been through 2 tyres this week with hitting potholes, don’t know how many places I’ve passed through recently that have been getting resurfaced when they weren’t even as bad before yet some other roads have potholes big enough for the Victor of Dibley to disappear into! Why is this allowed!! Then when you go to claim them it’s a total rigmarole trying to get a photo on a busy road of the pothole that burst the tyre. Pile of shite. by PachaFerrera (Thu 7th Jul 2022 11:58pm)

  • Haha, gosh I even had an elderly lady snort and question why I would make my baked potatoes in the slow cooker I love my slow cooker. I feel like I’d have to go back and re learn how to cook timings etc with the air fryer. At least I don’t feel left out now. by PachaFerrera (Sat 25th Nov 2023 9:59pm)

  • It’s not that I just like the way I cook stuff at the moment. Yes there are good points to the way things are cooked in it, things are crispy but so are they if they are cooked properly in the oven by PachaFerrera (Sat 25th Nov 2023 10:08pm)
  • I absolutely don’t use the microwave it might as well go in the bin cause I don’t even remember last time I used it. by PachaFerrera (Sat 25th Nov 2023 10:04pm)

  • Nah as I said above I don’t use my microwave was just stating you can tell when something has been microwaved by PachaFerrera (Sat 25th Nov 2023 10:23pm)
  • I know all this and I’m absolutely not. Almost everyone I know has one except me. It still doesn’t make me want to get one. by PachaFerrera (Sat 25th Nov 2023 10:29pm)
  • It’s not really though cause a washing machine is essential. Air fryers are not by PachaFerrera (Sat 25th Nov 2023 10:30pm)
  • Thing is people when you say you can cook everything in it does that mean everything goes in at the same time so it will all taste the same? What if you only have a wee one you need to wait for things to finish before then using it again then potentially have to put food just finished in the AF in the oven to keep warm??I’d assume most of you also need to use hob etc as well when cooking something (veg or what not) unless it’s like just one thing that’s being made. Also - I’ve woken up today and so many people here are getting their arse in a bunch over the fact I’ve created this thread. Come on to fuck it’s just an air fryer. I still don’t want one πŸ˜† by PachaFerrera (Sun 26th Nov 2023 9:43am)
  • Yeah a bit like a toastie machine would it get used as much as you think? by PachaFerrera (Sun 26th Nov 2023 9:48am)
