  • We used first mortgage a few years ago, no fees and they were really helpful through a seller pulling out last minute and us scrabbling to find something else. by PresentOutrageous750 (Fri 9th Apr 2021 7:26pm)
  • I drive this every day and still feel lucky whenever I get off it without a close call. by PresentOutrageous750 (Thu 29th Apr 2021 6:56am)
  • I've had a bit added to a tattoo here and know some other people that have had them done. Tattoos themselves were good but booking/design was a shambles. Organised what I needed done and booked in with someone, turned up and sat around for over an hour then they decided they had a guest artist they needed to use so at that point tried to fire me over to them. Sat about a bit more until it turns out he didn't do what I needed at all (different style/colours and design type) at which point I was sent back to the original artist who only then started a design. I like the end tattoo but was raging going in for it. Highly recommended tribe tattoo in the West end of you're looking for other places. by PresentOutrageous750 (Tue 18th May 2021 8:26pm)
  • We had a third floor tenement just off byres road and was told the same BUT was also told if you did it and they wanted to make you remove them they would have to make all on the street which at that point was quite a few including the actual conservation office building. We took the risk and got advanced windows to put in uPVC ones in a dark colour with a fake sash profile, cost a bit more with those options but not obviously modern replacements from the ground. They did it in a day from inside the flat, that was over ten years ago now and no one has ever questioned or mentioned them. by PresentOutrageous750 (Tue 18th May 2021 8:32pm)
  • I had this last week and didn't know how to get it rebooked but a few days later I suddenly had an option on my vaccine NHS page (dunno what it's actually called) to book another appointment. It still says I've already had 3 doses but I'm presuming they'll not bother when I go back if I explain because this is obviously happening to loads of people. Edit : Clinician inside also told me it was 22 weeks apart so I've rebooked on that info, hope it's right. by PresentOutrageous750 (Wed 1st Dec 2021 2:31pm)
  • Fuel Juice bars have a load of different smoothies and slushie type drinks, there's definitely ones in Buchanan gallery and silverburn but probably loads more. Hope your Mum is okay. by PresentOutrageous750 (Sat 22nd Jan 2022 9:46pm)
  • That's a great list thanks! People are recommending places that look really good but he's a fussy bugger that worked in Italian restaurants for years which generally wipes most of those out 😂 by PresentOutrageous750 (Tue 1st Feb 2022 1:33pm)
  • I'd love somewhere with more stretch fabric for kids and adult clothing. Most I've found in Glasgow either seems to be quite plain or stuff for the house and especially when I was starting I really struggled to order what I needed online without feeling/seeing it. I order a lot from places like Little Legs Fabrics that seem to mix a shop with online sales, don't know if that would be possible to help with costs? by PresentOutrageous750 (Sat 12th Feb 2022 6:27am)
  • If you've got a car Dean Park in Kilmarnock is less than half an hour drive and has goats among a load of other animals at the farm bit. by PresentOutrageous750 (Mon 7th Mar 2022 9:46am)
  • My kid loved the west end museums during the Easter holidays. We got the underground in and went to Kelvingrove, and the Hunterian and zoology museum at the uni. by PresentOutrageous750 (Sat 7th May 2022 3:49pm)
  • Not quite food bank but the Pollok Pantry on brockburn road is great, it's a pound a month then you can get 9 or 10 things for £2.50 up to 4 times a week which helps for stocking up bits and getting a meal. by PresentOutrageous750 (Fri 17th Jun 2022 7:30am)
  • When I wanted to start sewing I did a weekend course with sew confident, it was really good and gave me the confidence to try stuff on my own. It was in finniston but Google seems to be saying they've moved to Great Western road. by PresentOutrageous750 (Tue 30th Aug 2022 7:37pm)
  • Depending what clothes you want I did a weekend course there then started practicing with patterns from Ellie and Mac or waves and wild. They both have downloadable patterns, are beginner friendly and have good Facebook help groups. Have fun! by PresentOutrageous750 (Tue 30th Aug 2022 7:40pm)
  • I'm southside now but still take my car to InTune garage on Maryhill road. The only times I've tried anywhere else I've ended up back there for a 2nd opinion and generally been told I either don't need the work or its much cheaper than what I've been quoted elsewhere. by PresentOutrageous750 (Tue 20th Sep 2022 3:50pm)
  • Pfizer I was fine apart from a really sore arm for a day or so. Moderna booster had me knackered, could have slept for 24 hours, but then got up and felt brand new after that. Anecdotally the moderna seemed to take quite a few of my pals like that. by PresentOutrageous750 (Thu 10th Nov 2022 11:52am)
  • I'm down at the Lagoon in paisley, not sure what the queues will be like by tonight but I'd rather get there early if I'm queuing anyway so I can get home on time. by PresentOutrageous750 (Thu 10th Nov 2022 12:04pm)
  • Yeah I'm not totally looking forward to tomorrow, even if it's just a sore arm it's a pain when you've got stuff to do. Good luck! by PresentOutrageous750 (Thu 10th Nov 2022 12:01pm)
  • They're different jags so up to you what you take, they're just giving them at the same appointment as a lot of people are eligible for both so saves having to go back. by PresentOutrageous750 (Thu 10th Nov 2022 12:00pm)
  • Good to know, maybe I'll get an easy Friday after all. by PresentOutrageous750 (Thu 10th Nov 2022 4:52pm)
  • Good information thanks. Yeah I think its very dependent on the site and when you go. I know my aunt went for her appointment with the over 75s group, waited over 2 hours before she gave up then was done in 15 minutes when she chanced it at another site the next day. by PresentOutrageous750 (Thu 10th Nov 2022 7:39pm)
  • That me just had number 3. But given a random non-covid virus just fucked me up for over a month and is still messing up my lungs I'll take whatever they can give me. by PresentOutrageous750 (Thu 10th Nov 2022 7:44pm)
  • We live in at the end of a street that has had 3 of the 4 lights out for a few months now. I've reported them repeatedly and keep getting a reply they've already been reported and will be fixed soon. 2 of them have been out since last winter. by PresentOutrageous750 (Thu 1st Dec 2022 6:59pm)
  • They're all good museums but not sure any would fill a whole day unless you're really into a specific exhibition or theme. Kelvingrove and the Hunterian are only a 10 minute walk apart so I've done both of them plus the zoology in a day, the buildings are lovely to look at too. Anatomy museum is cool too if you're in the area but that one did need booked to visit last time I checked. by PresentOutrageous750 (Sun 15th Jan 2023 7:24pm)
  • True, there's a lot of nice place round the uni/west end and you could easily fill a couple of days wandering about if you're not just looking at the museums. I had a look at the anatomy museum last summer to take my son and the web page was saying it's open to the public but needs booked, maybe because there is classes and stuff going on in there? When I was at uni we could wander in but not sure that's available to non students. by PresentOutrageous750 (Sun 15th Jan 2023 7:42pm)
  • I couldn't deal with all the comments on a council Facebook post today saying they were going to enforce more parking tickets for dangerous parking like this, parking on double yellow lines etc. The amount of people saying it was only money making exercise and it's an absolute attack on drivers and they won't be happy until there's no cars in Glasgow - some poor sap was having to reply to them all saying basically "don't park illegally like a twat and this won't affect you". by PresentOutrageous750 (Sun 26th Mar 2023 8:03pm)
  • Exactly, I just didn't get the amount of people going absolutely mental they might actually punish what is already illegal and dangerous parking. They're not changing the rules mid game, just trying to enforce them. by PresentOutrageous750 (Sun 26th Mar 2023 8:21pm)
  • Oh god, the littering makes me so angry, everywhere is totally minging. And it feels like everywhere we go I'm trying to clear glass out the way of the kids and dogs, someone had smashed bottles through the playground when we tried to go this morning. by PresentOutrageous750 (Sun 26th Mar 2023 9:01pm)
  • Heart breaks for you pal, hope you get him back soon as. by PresentOutrageous750 (Tue 18th Apr 2023 2:00pm)
  • Thanks that's really helpful. by PresentOutrageous750 (Mon 10th Jul 2023 5:40am)
  • The underpass at silver burn to join the M77 had 3 cars stuck too when we just passed, it's a mess. by PresentOutrageous750 (Sat 7th Oct 2023 12:07pm)
